Your tour will begin near Piazza della Signoria, where you’ll join up with your guide. After a brief safety overview, snap on your helmet and hit the streets, stopping at three local spots to sample authentic Tuscan cuisine. The eateries typically include a deli in San Niccolo’ to try the savory schiacciata all’olio bread and a pastry shop in the Beccaria area to sample Italian sweets. Drinks are available for purchase.
As you travel to each local haunt, your guide will pause to share tales and trivia about Florentine cuisine and its iconic landmarks. Cycle past the Duomo's distinctive red dome designed by Brunelleschi, and pose for photos along the Ponte Vecchio, the historic bridge that spans that River Arno and has today become a hub for jewelry shops. You’ll also pass the Uffizi Gallery, home to masterpieces from Michelangelo and Botticelli, and admire the church of Santa Croce, where Machiavelli and Galileo are buried.
After three hours of tasting and sightseeing, you tour will conclude at its original departure point.
