Overview

Bypass the lines and see the best of Renaissance art and architecture on this full-day combo tour of three galleries in Florence. Led by an expert guide, head straight inside the Uffizi Gallery, home to Botticelli’s ‘Birth of Venus’ and Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Annunciation.’ Then stroll through the Vasari Corridor, a once-secret passageway now filled with art and rarely open to the public. Conclude your tour with skip-the-line entry at the Pitti Palace and explore masterpieces from Rubens and Rafael in the Palatine Gallery.
  • Florence combo tour with skip-the-line access to the Uffizi Gallery and Palatine Gallery, plus entry to the Varasi Corridor
  • Bypass the lines at the Uffizi to see Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation, Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus and more
  • Enjoy privileged entry to the Varasi Corridor, the hidden Medici-built corridor between the city center and Pitti Palace
  • Admire the artworks and views over Florence from this private corridor
  • Skip lines at the Pitti Palace to tour its stunning Palatine Gallery
  • See paintings by Rafael, Titian and Rubens in the opulent rooms
  • Learn about Florence’s Medici rulers and the Renaissance from an expert guide
Your combo tour will begin in Piazza della Signoria, where you’ll meet your guide. Soak up some background on Florence’s rich history and how it came to be known as the ‘cradle of the Renaissance’ under the rule and patronage of the Medici family.

Head to the Uffizi Gallery and skip the long lines at the main entrance, beginning your tour on the museum’s top floor right away. Learn about the history and technique of the Renaissance’s greatest masterpieces as you admire Botticelli’s Birth of Venus up close, as well as Michelangelo’s Sacred Family and Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation.

Pause at the gallery’s scenic terrace, purchasing a coffee if you choose, before stepping into the hidden world of the Vasari Corridor. Built in the 16th century, this enclosed corridor allowed the Medici family to travel stealthily between the Pitti Palace and the city center. Discover this architectural marvel, which extends over the Ponte Vecchio and through a church and Florentine houses.

Today the corridor hosts one of the world’s most impressive collections of portraits, and you’ll have the chance to admire the paintings as you stroll through the passageway. Exit at the Boboli Gardens and enjoy some free time to purchase lunch before reuniting with your guide.

Refueled, skip the lines at the Pitti Palace, once home to the Medicis, and head straight inside to the Palatine Gallery. Explore masterpieces from Titian, Rubens and Rafael as you hear how the family came to amass its astounding art collection.

Your day of Florentine art, history and architecture will conclude in the gallery, where you can continue exploring independently, if you choose.

we did this in 2 parts elena took us to the Uffizi which was amazing with the art work-it was very crowded but our small group skipped the line and had a fantastic time. the line was enormous even for those with Florence passes. great museum and the Vasari corridor was wonderful with all the selfportraits and frescoes . in the after noon we saw the pitti palace with Roberta who was excellent-we ended up with a private tour which was awesome! some wonderful rafeal, donattello etc paintings. it is a huge museum which we really loved.

Fantastic Tour of Palace and Gardens

Pitti Palace, Palatina Gallery and Boboli Gardens Small Group Tour | Nov 2019
Our tour guide (Roberto or Roberta?) was wonderful. She did a great tour of the palace, but clearly her forte was the gardens. Her knowledge of horticulture is quite amazing and she made the whole experience quite fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable. We can highly recommend this tour and guide. (Thanks Roberto!)

Florence from Piazza Signoria to Accademia Gallery in a very small group tour | Nov 2019
Federika was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about not just the David, but all things Florence. It was raining that day so just my wife and I took the tour. It turned into our own private tour. I highly recommend this tour to learn about Michelangelo, his work and life.

Skip-the-Line Pitti Palace and Palatine Gallery Walking Tour | Nov 2019
Three couples from Texas comprised the small group tour of the Palatine Gallery on November 6. We found ourselves in the company of an extremely knowledgeable guide who effectively shared his enthusiasm for the artwork collected by the Medici family. He made excellent use of the time we had in the gallery and recommended a number of additional things we could see in the palace following our tour. We were very pleased with the tour.

Pitti Palace, Palatina Gallery and Boboli Gardens Small Group Tour | Oct 2019
Don't miss this tour of the Pitti Palace, Gallery and Boboli. It is a full morning, and the garden tour does not start until noon, so another couple of hours after that. It is al lot of walking, but absolutely wonderful. Our guide was so knowledgeable and entertaining. She made the tour through the gallery come alive. What a lovely day!

Our wonderful guide Sarah brought to life the history and stories of the Medici’s and the artists of the time with such insight and detail that it backfilled much of the knowledge to explain what we had already experienced in Florence. Highly recommend this tour and can’t thank Sarah enough for sharing her knowledge with us.

A "Must Do" in Florence

star-4Pescador599
Florence Duomo, Baptistery, Museo del Duomo Small Group Tour w/Dome Ticket | Oct 2019
Visiting the Duomo and Baptistery is a "must do" in Florence. The small group tour is best because it gets crowded like all Italian attractions. Our tour guide was great and very informative. We were a little disappointed at the inside of the Duomo as it is very sparse compared to other Italian churches. This is understandable given it was a church for the common folks, but the beauty is clearly the outside architecture. The new museum is actually better than inside the Duomo itself. Note: take the stairs up the bell tower (campanile) for pictures of Florence and the Duomo dome. This makes a better picture than standing on the dome looking back at the bell tower. The tour ticket includes a preset reservation for walking up to the dome, which may not fit with your schedule. You have 72 hours to use your tour ticket to walk up the bell tower.

Perfect Duomo Tour

Florence Duomo guided tour with guaranteed Skip-the-line Access | Oct 2019
This was a great tour. Sara our guide was very engaging with all her knowledge. It was the perfect length tour. First, we traveled around the outside of this beautiful church where she explained many fun facts of the building. Then we entered through a special entrance that really skipped the lines. Again, Sara explained all of the beautiful details in this magnificent church and dome. It was an hour and a half tour. Then we were left inside to further explore at our leisure. Perfect day! Don't miss this duomo.

Not as Much to See as I Had Hoped

Skip-the-Line Pitti Palace and Palatine Gallery Walking Tour | Oct 2019
The tour guide was good and she pointed out the best of what was on display. But the sad fact of the matter is that there are a lot of less than glorious paintings. And the apartments of the king and queen are tired and uninteresting. Had I known this, I would have taken a tour of the gardens instead.

Florence Duomo, Baptistery, Museo del Duomo Small Group Tour w/Dome Ticket | Oct 2019
Our guide was very proud of her city, she was very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Florence. I would recommend taking the earliest tours, Florence is a city packed with tourists and St Marks is very crowded as the day progresses. Also pay extra for the small group tours, more personal. Take a few extra minutes to see below the Duomo, fascinating.

A wonderful tour and tour guide

Pitti Palace, Palatina Gallery and Boboli Gardens Small Group Tour | Oct 2019
This small group tour was organized by FlorencePass. There were only 6 participants for the Palace and Gallery tour. Roberta, our tour guide was nor only very knowledgeable and explained everything with passion, she obviously loved and cared a lot about what she did. Although only two people, me and my wife, had purchased a guided tour for Boboli Gardens, the organizers did not cancel the tour and we could enjoy a private garden tour with Roberta. We truly enjoyed the tour and Roberta's guidance. We highly recommend FlorencePass and Roberta.

Skip the Gardens

Pitti Palace, Palatina Gallery and Boboli Gardens Small Group Tour | Oct 2019
The Pitti Palace was great and we only had six people in our group. Our guide was very good and I would say the Palace is a must-see. The gardens involve a lot of steps and inclines and have not been restored. Few flowers, fountains do not work, grass needed mowing. I would skip the gardens and do more in the palace.
