it was the best experience . the place of dinner and the care takers there were so generous that we wont mind visiting them again and again.
concert was also enjoyed . the presentatio was praise worthy.
An incredible night, highlight of our trip to Florence! St. Marks Anglican Church was a lovely, intimate venue for this special concert. Two sopranos, a tenor and pianist performed arias from famous operas. All the performers were outstanding and the evening is a fundraiser so the performers donate their time for free. I laughed, cried and had goosebumps everything you could want in a performance. No to be missed.
A 10 out of 10!!!! Smaller setting with fabulous sound and seats from Viator. Loved every minute of this Concert and the Dinner was wonderful!!! LOVED THIS ONE!!!!
Enjoyed the dinner prior to the opera. We were unexpectedly surprised that an opera was substituted for the concert. We found the substitution to be a plus as we were treated to Rigoletto in full costume in an intimate settting.
We saw the opera Rigaletto. It was an amazing performance! We chose the a la carte dinner menu. The food was very good- but too much! The service at the restaurant was not as efficient as we needed. We ended up being late for the opera and missed dessert!

A very enjoyable evening...food was good....very helpful and kind restaurant staff...the concert was fantastic.
This was a great evening! The restaurant was great and the concert of opera love songs was fantastic! We were glad we had some time in betweenthe two events so we could wander the streets and sit in a square and listen to music.
This is one of the unexpected highlights of our trip. I feared it would be a stuffy concert but was not the case at all. It was fun, magical and musical. And dinner was great too. A must-do if in Florence.
This was an amazing night. We chose the à la carte menu and the Olio and Convivium Restaurant was amazing. Service was excellent, servers spoke good English and were able to offer suggestions which were great. Wine choice was vast we chose the house wine which was good and not that expensive.
Three minutes walk to St. Marks Anglican church on righthand side of the street for the opera. WHICH WAS AMAZING. We were treated to a fantastic performance of La Traviata, one is within 10 feet of the performers, full costume, fantastic voices and great introduction by the pastor. A special mention to the soprano who played Violetta. She was fantastic over used the word cannot be an accident! I included her picture from the program on my review. At the intermission one could purchase champagne or water for 3E or 2E respectively, very reasonable. The whole experience cannot be overstated.
The opera singers and piano player along with the program were exceptional! The setting and acoustics of the church were perfect to showcase the music.
We enjoyed this so much the first time we re visited during our stay in 2015
A thoroughly enjoyable evening, although we were slightly disappointed with
the meal this time. Having said that, I am glad we went again and would recommend
to anyone who wants some light entertainment with good talent.
Would highly recommend the Florence church concert and dinner, we had a great evening and are still talking about it now. Although the dinner experience was a little different, with unfriendly waiters who looked liked they would rather not be there, and an indication of what was on offer would have been helpful, we had a starter and then a plate of pasta was served which we assumed was the main course, but it wasn't! After the pasta dish we were served a main course of meat and vegetable, followed by desert, if we had known we would not have eaten all the pasta, but putting that aside the food was good with wine included.
But the concert in the church was amazing, despite there only being 3 participants, the sound and singing was jaw dropping good and all done with light humour, a really enjoyable evening, with audience participation which was good fun.
Both the dinner and the concert were excellent. We were given a lovely set meal at Il Cantinone, including some very pleasant wine. The concert was brilliant. We had front row seats reserved for us and it was almost like a private performance. Both soloists were outstanding singers and the pianist, who was also the compere, played beautifully. The interval gave us the chance to enjoy a glass of prosseco and chat with other guests. This was a most professional production and as well as singing extremely well, the soloist were very animated, which lent an extra dimension to their performances. You don't need to have any operatic knowledge to enjoy this evening. Very highly recommended!
Absolutely marvelous. The dinner was wonderful and the concert was even better. The musicians we fantastic performers and the church is a lovely venue for the music. I recommend this tour to anyone who likes classical music. The value is terrific. My only criticism is that we were not told there are steep steps down into the restraurant. We had an elderly Italian friend with us and the steps were almost impossible for her. I would like to have known this beforehand and we could have chosen a different restraurant. Overall, a wonderful evening!
This was excellent value. Opted for set menu which was excellent and it just got better when we arrived at concert. Beautiful setting and the singing was superb. Quite emotional at times. Would highly recommend.
It was every penny. A great experience. Excellent dinner followed wonderful concert. Both tenor and soprano were very good. The pianist who was also the producer of the show was fantastic.
Wonderful experience. The dinner was excellent and the concert was very very good. It was also for a worthy cause and we enjoyed every moment. A memorable evening.
Food was amazing with a full 3 course meal and a 2 minute walk to the church for a concert with amazing warm people. I highly recommend this to anyone.
An absolutely amazing evening in Florence! The restaurant choice was perfect, very quaint, Italian and with a beautiful atmosphere...On the other side of the Arno river'..as they say. And of course, the opera! Bravo!!! We enjoyed every second of it! In San Marco, the ambiance of an Anglican church together with the most famous operas, again, for a relatively small audience which gives each person a unique experience. Tank you!
Enjoyed the samples of opera. Well organized and entertaining with a dose of humor.
Highly recommend this operatic taste test. Beautiful seeing the church. Well organied,
