My wife was a sculpture major in college so loved this brief but interesting look at the restoration workshop. It is in an old studio off one of the side streets. All of the artisans were on their lunch break when we stopped by but we could see all of the tools and projects underway. A nice back stage addition to the tour.
If you choose the option that allows you entry into other parts of the Duomo complex make sure they will be open. We went to the Duomo and Brunelleschi's dome on a Monday and that allowed us entry to the Museum within 24 hours. However, when we returned on the next day, the museum was closed on Tuedays.
