We loved this tour and highly recommend it! We got to see a lot of the Florence countryside and the electric bikes were very easy to ride. Our guide was fantastic and customized the experience for us!
This was a fun tour. It had been years since the wife and I had ridden a bike so it definitely took practice time. Alicia was great and allowed us the practice on the pedestrian street in front of their shop. Since their shop is off the beaten path, there were no pedestrians in our way. These bikes are motorized, so when you pedal it runs the motor for a few seconds and accelerates the bike. So you do not want to be pedaling if you are going to do a sharp turn. So we practiced and then took off. The start of the tour is along a busy road along the river and has a lot of cars and scooters. But we just followed Alicia and stayed to the right or in some situations we were in the road like a car or scooter. Most of the tour was on bike paths or country roads. The organic farm was interesting as well as the Piaza Michelangelo overlooking the city. We then went to the highest point in Florence and had a very scenic break. Then back to the shop, where we dropped the bikes and then Alicia took us to a bar around the corner for cold drinks, bread, meat and cheese. I highly recommend Alicia at FloRent thru Viator.
Most amazing tour we have had in Europe so far. Good for all ages! Don and #39;t have to be an athlete to get all around the hills of Florence. Beautiful views , knowledgable guide and a fun group!!! Loved this tour!!! Everyone should see Florence this way!
We really enjoyed our Electric Bike tour of Florence and surrounding countryside. Our guide, Gabriel, was very attentive, ensuring we had smooth passage around both the streets and country roads, and was very knowledgeable about beautiful Florence. The Electric bikes made some of the more challenging hills almost effortless and suitable for most people who have had some previous experience riding bikes. The glass of wine enjoyed at a local wine bar was a fitting end to the trip and rounded the day off beautifully.
Had a great time with Gabriel's guided tour! My sister and I were the only ones on the tour, and absolutely loved seeing the areas outside the city of Florence! The olive oil farm was amazing, and we learned a lot about the process the farmers use to make the oil. The biking is a bit more strenuous than expected, so I would only suggest this for those capable of light to medium level activity for 3-4 hours straight. Topped off with a snack and glass of wine and it was the perfect morning/early afternoon! Thank you Gabriel for the great tour!
So much fun and Gabriele had a great knowledge of his beautiful Florence. We met amazing people and had a blast, looking forward to doing it again next year :-)
This was a real experience! It was lovely to get out of the city and into the country and Gabriele was the best guide imaginable. He mixed history with current information in a delightful way. The electric bicycles take a little getting used to, but they certainly take the work out of pedalling up hills. All in all, a wonderful way to spend a morning!
This was the absolute HIGHLIGHT of our trip to Florence! We spent four hours with Gabriele and felt like we saw things we'd never have known existed if not of this fabulous tour. I you are thinking about this, I can tell you without hesitation that its 110 worth the time and money!
This was my husbands first bike tour and it was the best. The electric bikes made travel very easy even on the hills. Our guide was very nice and informative. We took the afternoon tour which made the last stop of wine and cheese a great ending to the trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone who can ride a bike.
Gabrielle was fantastic. We only had a short time in Florence, and wanted to see as much as we could. He was knowledgeable, and very engaging. The bikes were very easy to use as well. The wine bar at the end was a fantastic touch. By far one of my favorite days on trip.
This was our second E-bike vacation tour and it was exceptional. Our guide a young Florence native was very knowledgeable and gave us superb views of Florence. My wife and I are both in our 60's and the bikes were so easy to maneuver. We are so glad we had this experience and would suggest if your looking for something a little different to do give it a try.
The best of all of our tours during our 12 days in Italy, this is not to be missed! Gabriele was fantastic. He adjusted each of the bikes, and showed us how to use them. The electric bikes take a bit a getting used to, but are amazing and take all the work out of going up hills. We started at the bike shop in old-town Florence and made our way up to an olive farm in the hills near Friesole called Fattoria di Maiano. Gabriele was careful to take routes away from cars where possible and keep tabs on us. He also explained interesting sites and landmarks along the way. Don't try to be macho, wear a helmet, trust me! From there, we biked over to Piazza Michelangelo for some incredible views of Florence, and a bit further up to the Benedictine Monastery of San Miniato al Monte, where we took in the amazing church and heard the Gregorian chants for Vespers. The monks opened the shop afterwards and we bought some snacks. Gabriele was funny and entertaining, but creative and persistent with inevitable equipment issues, and took us to a local wine bar afterwards.
Gabrielle could not have been a better or more concerned guide. The trip was great, a nice deviation from a traditional walking tour.
What a way to see Firenze! Flying through the crowded streets on our way up to the hills was so fun... Gabriella was a great guide with lots of knowledge! The view from Fiesole was amazing and we covered around 18 miles without even breaking sweat! Would definitely book again... Grazie :
Fun, fun, fun...ok, my derrière hurt, but that's because I have t been on a bike for awhile. I would def recommend this for anyone up for an adventure.
This was the highlight of our trip! Thank you so much to Gabriele, our tour guide, who made this such a memorable experience for my daughter and I. Gabriele's instructions were so clear and his passion and knowledge of the area was great! The cycle up to Friesole was spectacular as we cycled out of the city, passed through the residential areas and then finally ended up at the city farm with absolutely stunning views! The cycle back was fantastic too, and the view of Firenze from Michaelangelo Square was superb! We cannot thank Gabriele and Alessia enough for making this such a great experience! Debbie and Mhairi

We had a fantastic day with Gabriel touring around Florence. We particularly loved riding up in the hills. Bikes are super easy to operate and Gabriel is a delightful guide.
What a fantastic experience! Gabriel is a terrific guide --- from start to finish, my daughter and I enjoyed the opportunity to ride through Florence, visiting areas outside what the normal tourist experience would be. Thank you, Gabriel! Well done!
We like to go on bike tours in all the cities we visit, and this one was just as remarkable. Gabrielle was very knowledgable of the cities history and culture. He took us through the old city as well as the new to the olive farm. I was hesitant about the electric bike, but was really comfortable by the time we needed to get up a steep hill. I would highly recommend this tour as riding through the streets of an ancient city is a very memorable experience.
My husband and I booked this tour during our honeymoon in Italy, and I'm willing to say this was the highlight of our trip! The bikes were so easy to ride, and they're perfect for sightseeing. We saw parts of Florence that we never would've seen on our own, including an olive farm! There are no words to describe the gorgeous landscape when you get out of the busy city... Our guide also brought us to the best Panini shop we visited while in Florence, which was a great lunch after hours of riding! We have zero complaints, only advice to definitely take this tour, you won't regret it!
This is a wonderful way to easily see beautiful landscape views of Florence and the surrounding country side. This tour is for you if you want to see the amazing scenery of Florence. If you want a tour that provides a lot of historical detail about the city, this is not the tour for you. While our guide did give us some information about the sites we passed or stopped at, the nature of the tour does not allow for the guides to go into great detail. Also this tour is not for you if you don't have a lot of experience riding a bike. Some parts of the tour are on busy roads with other vehicles so you want to be comfortable with your bike.
Also, the farm we visited was an olive farm. It would have been nice to be able to taste some of the olive oil as part of the tour, but we didn't get to.
Overall, the tour was really nice and made biking up those tall hills very easy with the motorized bikes. Gabriel was a great tour guide and gave good recommendations for places to eat.
It was a drizzly day and while waiting to meet our guide we were secretly hoping it would get canceled. But when Alessi got us out on the bikes, it was love at first pedal, as it made going up the hills of Florence a breeze . She was so nice and gave us tons of information along the way. This truly became one of our favorite activities while in Italy. We would not hesitate to do this again or suggest it to others. Electric bike was nicer than a Vespa tour in that it was slow enough to enjoy the sights and quiet so we could hear our host, yet effortless pedaling. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Thanks again Alessi!
