What To Expect

Your Vespa tour will begin in central Florence, where you’ll meet your guide and head straight to our garage for a brief safety overview and practice ride before hitting the road. Saddle up on your stylish Vespa and follow your guide through tree-lined avenues until you reach the hills in the countryside.

Admire panoramic views of Florence from the Church of San Miniato al Monte before taking a peek inside. The Romanesque church hosts an array of incredible artwork and is one of the city’s lesser-known gems.

Continue into the Tuscan hills, past poppy fields and vineyards, with plenty of opportunities to pause for photos. As you travel back toward Florence, pull over at Piazzale Michelangelo, where views of the Arno River and the iconic Duomo stretch out before you.

Conclude your adventure with a Tuscan meal (menu for lunch is bruschetta, pasta and a cheese and salami board). Sit back, relax and soak up the Italian spirit before heading back to your original departure point.

What a great experience
Karla_A, Jun 2023
Even though we weren’t able to drive the Vespa, we had a fantastic time in the Fiat. Our tour guides were fantastic…the knowledge of the area, from olives to wine was impressive. They made the experience unforgettable. 💕🇮🇹🍷🍝
Fun time!
Michelle_P, Jun 2023
Guides were great! Patient with us during practice and helped to get us familiar with Vespa. The drive was great through town.
Fabulous Vespa tour

We would highly recommend this Florence Vespa Tour. It was the highlight of our Florence visit !! From start to finish all staff were professional and all care was taken to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves in a safe environment. Special thanks to our guide Chris for great job !!
Memories can only be made with experiences

Great fun - well organised, light hearted. Enjoyed meeting variety of people and hearing a bit about life in and around Florence. I think Italians grow up with Vespa’s - it’s fun but it is riding on the road in maybe a foreign country so it’s also important to listen to the advice and take care
Lots of fun
Brenda_S, Jun 2023
Lots of fun. Vespa riding was great as was the scenery. Tour guide was over the top good. I’d rate him 7 stars out of 5. Had a light dinner at a winery where we sat with 8 others. Loved chatting with new people. The only slight downside was that it took quite some time to educate and test all the drivers so we stood around for longer than I would have liked between arrival and Vespa riding. Even with that said, my husband and I would rate it 5 stars.
We had a fun time

Best views of Tuscany and Florence!
Jadin_C, Jun 2023
This is truly the best way to view Florence and the country side. We saw some of the most beautiful views and were able to stop and take lots of photos! We had a small lunch at a spot with a breathtaking view. The vespa was a fun addition and our tour guide (stephano) made sure we were confident while taking to the streets of Florence. Would definitely recommend this activity!
Tuscany food and Vespa Tour

What a great day. The Vespas were bigger and bulkier than I expected. I am 5” and couldn’t reach the ground at a stop but No problem because I got to drive a Fiat instead and Enjoyed ever minute of this tour. Gorgeous sights and great food.
A Thrilling Vespa Adventure in Tuscany's Countryside
claudia_b, Jun 2023
A Thrilling Vespa Adventure in Tuscany's Countryside We recently embarked on an unforgettable Vespa tour through the picturesque countryside of Tuscany, and it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. Our tour guide, Santiago, played a pivotal role in making this adventure truly remarkable. Right from the start, Santiago's patience and expertise were evident. As complete beginners to Vespa riding, he took the time to teach us the ropes, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident before setting off. His guidance and attention to detail were invaluable, and we appreciated his commitment to our safety throughout the tour. Santiago's knowledge of the region was astounding. As we zipped along the winding country roads, he shared captivating insights about the local history, culture, and traditions. His stories brought the Tuscan countryside to life, giving us a deeper appreciation for the enchanting landscapes and charming villages we encountered along the way. The beauty of Tuscany's countryside left us in awe. Rolling hills adorned with vineyards, olive groves, and cypress trees stretched as far as the eye could see. Santiago ensured that we visited hidden gems and scenic viewpoints, allowing us to capture breathtaking moments and create lasting memories. Beyond his expertise as a tour guide, Santiago's genuine enthusiasm and friendly demeanor made the entire experience even more enjoyable. He effortlessly fostered a warm and inclusive atmosphere, making us feel like old friends rather than just tourists. His passion for Vespa riding and Tuscany's treasures was contagious, and it added an extra layer of excitement to the journey. We wholeheartedly recommend Santiago as a Vespa tour guide in Tuscany. His professionalism, patience, and extensive knowledge made our adventure unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the tour was exceptional, from the Vespa riding lessons to the carefully curated route. If you're seeking an exhilarating way to explore Tuscany's countryside, don't miss the opportunity to join Santiago on a Vespa tour. Prepare to be enchanted by the region's natural beauty while enjoying the expertise and company of an outstanding guide.
A Fabulous time
Deanne_L, Jun 2023
I went with husband and two sisters. Hubby was only one with experience on a motorcycle. To be honest, operating a Vespa with no previous experience at it is quite a challenge. Husband and I each ended up with a Vespa and sisters went in the Fiat despite the trial/training time we were given. Stefano and Santiago were very patient with the group and with those that needed extra help both during the pre-trip and once we were on the road. Roads were paved and unpaved, curvy and lots of hills. During the drive, we stopped a few times to see the magnificent views and then for the meal which was excellent. We had a great time. If you’re a nervous driver or unsure about driving a Vespa, I’d recommend a tour that allows you other options. Several people fell with their Vespas. Fortunately I did not fall and was able to avoid a few mishaps but was ready to get off and relax once we were back to garage.
Exceeded my expectations!
Laine_G, Jun 2023
The best way to get a tour through the Tuscan hills! The food, wine, company and sights were amazing! Even the rain couldn’t bring down the incredible experience!
Would do it again - especially with Santiago!
Michelle_G, Jun 2023
Meeting place was clear with text prior to confirm. Check in was smooth and expectations were clear. Short walk to bus which took us to the garage. Our guide was Santiago. His English was excellent and he was patient and thorough with his demonstration of how to use the Vespa. He was sure to talk about safety and traffic. He was taking good care of us. One participant thought it was a little long but he has his own motorcycle! We didn’t have much experience so we appreciated the thoroughness. Every rider had to pass a test to ride on the road. Some people tested twice so that he was sure that we could handle the Vespa. The first part of the ride was over 90 minutes with two scenic stops. At each Santiago explained what we were looking at - the route we had taken and how olives are grown and turned into olive oil. We also stopped at a 1,000 year old church with incredible views of the City of Florence. Lunch was amazing. I worried it would not be much to eat - we were full! Pasta, meats, cheeses, and a little wine at a gorgeous estate with breath-taking views. After we ate we rode 10 minutes back to the garage before being bused into Florence. Santiago made sure everyone was safe, didn’t get lost, and had a good time. Our family had a GREAT time!
Great views of the countryside
Timothy_B, Jun 2023
We had a great time. Only downside was there were a lot of people signed up to ride with zero experience. I don’t think you have to have experience on a Vespa necessarily but some type of experience on something would help. Even recent experience on a bicycle would probably be enough but if you haven’t ridden anything on two wheels in 20+ years this one might not be for you. There were a few people that ended up having to drive classic mini cars instead, so that’s worst case scenario. Well, you could drive into a fence and wreck the Vespa like one guy on our tour during practice but luckily he wasn’t injured. The instructors were very nice and helpful and did a great job. The views were amazing and the food and conversation with other people on the tour was very good as well.

Glorious! Vespas are Great for Two
Tracy_C, Jun 2023
What a fun way to spend a day. We drove through the winding roads of small villages, into vineyards and olive groves (thanks to our wonderful guide Stephano) and deep into Tuscan countryside. Although I was a little disappointed at first when I realized I wasn’t strong enough to drive the Vespa myself, the leaders gave me honest, clear, and respectful feedback. They also gave me a chance to try again, but I am still recovering from surgery, and I realized I couldn’t handle it alone. But, it all worked out because I was my spouse’s passenger, and we got to chat and share the experience together. We loved every single moment of this terrific trip. I highly recommend it!
Awesome experience led by a great crew
Alison_M, Jun 2023
We hired the vintage Fiat instead of the Vespa and what an amazing experience it was! Highly recommend. What really added to the whole day were the tour guides especially Stefano who led the fiat tour making sure everyone kept together and travelled safely. He really went above and beyond to make the experience as memorable as possible. The food was out of this world and at a stunning location. Really was an incredible start to our holiday. Big thanks to everyone involved including the mechanic who was also a super cool guy!

Good but with caution
Carrie_P, Jun 2023
Overall, the tour, guides and lunch at the villa were great. However, I gave this tour a 3 because it should be disclosed that this is not a beginner's ride and it should be a requirement to have riding experience. The roads were narrow and congested with cars pretty much the entire way. The description wasn't clear enough because nowhere does it tell you that you are going through traffic. Also, the ride itself, in my opinion, was too long. It was about 45 minutes and the most challenging part was after lunch going back to the garage. The hills were pretty steep and we had to make turns through a decent about of traffic where the locals don't pay attention. Unfortunately, someone in our group had an incident and got scraped up. Otherwise, the country-side is beautiful.

Bias towards men
Melissa_M, Jun 2023
This tour is not for beginner riders. The Vespa’s are big and heavy. None of the women were able to ride them. I believe they plan it that way so they get more money. They didn’t even let half of the women do the test drive. Then they said if my husband could drive a manual car we could take a fiat. I told them I could drive a stick shift and he said no only your husband. When one employee was trying to talk to me another one came over and in Italian basically told him men only to drive. I ended up switching and driving half of the tour in the fiat.. the tour guy way “shocked” that a women could handle a manual car. I do not recommend this trip if you are women. The Vespa are heavy and the guys are not favorable to women
Fantastic day out!
Josephine_J, Jun 2023
We absolutely loved this experience! The guides were informative, fun and maintained safety standards at all times. The Vespas were in excellent condition and we met some great people on out day out. Thank you!
A great afternoon

Kristin_M, Jun 2023
Although I was a bit nervous with little time to practice and brush up on my skills, I felt confident once we were on our way! Beautiful countryside and stops along the way, with the history of the area. The lunch was delicious and the guides Stephano and Santiago were great!!!

Planned with a day in advance because everything is closed on Monday in Florence and it was the highlight of the trip! Great staff, great views, included homemade pasta, it was amazing!
Would go again
Konnie_F, May 2023
Excellent guides and Instruction. Beware of inexperienced fellow travelers and those who don't listen. Good Information on area. Light lunch was tasty.
Vespa experience required
Marna_W, May 2023
Giving this tour a 2 because Stefano our tour guide was wonderful and the views were spectacular. Ultimately I think it should be a requirement to have riding experience. The roads were narrow and congested with cars pretty much the entire way. The description made it sound like some kind of empty country road.
Above and beyond expectations
Amelia_F, May 2023
We really didn’t know what to expect on this tour. Afterwards we couldn’t stop smiling! We had the best time! Our guides were beyond wonderful! Highly recommend!

This Vespa experience will be one of our best memories of Florence, riding through the Tuscan countryside was absolutely fantastic. This tour is a must when in Florence!
Best. Day. Ever.
Janet_M, May 2023
This may be our most favorite vacation activity ever. It helps if you’ve driven a Vespa before, but even if you haven’t, it’s the best and most fun way to spend a morning/afternoon. Highly, highly recommend. Great staff and top notch Vespas and helmets.

Great way to have a ride of a Vespa plus take in beautiful scenery
Julie_C, May 2023
Really well organised activity with care for safety. Every effort made to ensure people could ride safely. We didn’t know also fiat 500 option would also have been fun! Good stopping points to look at the scenery and finished with a lovely meal. Bit precarious when on the busy road!
