Our guide Riccardo was awesome! After the Uffizi gallery tour, my wife and I were the only ones that opted for the Accadrmia portion. So Riccardo guided us from the Uffizi gallery through town, past the Duomo, and to the Accademia. He gave us his knowledge of the architecture and history of Florence during the walk, along with the history of the Medici. He showed us one of his favorite REAL Gelato spots, and then made the statue of David by Michelangelo as well as his unfinished works come alive. This was the most informational and personal tour we have ever been on. Thank you very much Riccardo and Keys of Florence, we will be back!
Helen was our guide for this tour. She was a wealth of information and clearly loved Florence. Excellent.
Leonardo was absolutely fantastic. His breadth of knowledge was impressive and his ability to tailor the physical and intellectual tempo of the tour to our group was perfect. One of the best tours I have ever taken.
Combine the two art sites, david is a must see as is the accademia
This was a fabulous tour! Our wonderful tour guide, Leonardo, was so knowledgeable and interesting! His enthusiasm for the history of the Uffizi and Academia was contagious. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute. This was a very small group tour. Leonardo made us feel very welcome in beautiful Florence. I would highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour, small group size.
Our guide Eleanor was very knowledgeable and way too awesome.
Definitely worth every penny spent.
This was perhaps the most amazing tour I have ever taken and it is due in no small part to the brilliance of our guide, Viola. She was outstanding in her ability to share her knowledge and history of the contents of these extraordinary sites. All done effortlessly . . . she spoke non-stop for five hours in excellent English. Yes, there is so much to see, but she has chosen a wonderful seletion to showcase. She was prompt, professional and manouvered us easily through the crowds. Can't imagine attempting to see the Uffizi or the Accademia without a guide. Sign up for this tour - your knowledge and appreciation for these great works will be enriched beyond words!
We had Sam as a tour Guide, and he was passionate ! He was born in and still lives in Florence and with each narrative we could see his passion for his heritage, which, in turn, made us passionate. The tour was exciting as we learned facts about each artist and the politics of the time that shaped the artists' lives and the lives of those around them. It was a true pleasure to spend this time with Sam as he educated us to the inner workings of the art world and how it came to be that these paintings and sculptures were created and why they were in Florence museums. We had arrived at the tour under duress as we had expected to park and take a tram into the city. we missed our parking lot and somehow ended up in a parking garage in the city and had to take a cab to the tour. After the tour was over, Sam graciiously took us to a taxi stand and told the driver in Italian the location of our parking garage. We wanted to take him on the rest of our vacation. Great tour gude!
This was an extremely informative and professionally run tour. We were very impressed with the guide who was very knowledgeable not only about the two galleries visited and the impact of various artists but also on the broader history of Florence and the Medici family as we walked between the two galleries. Well worth the cost. Definitely preferred the smaller group arrangement in terms of accessibility and communication with the guide, and accessibility to the facilities particularly given a number of large tourist groups also present. Special mention also deserved for the organisers as my wife, son and I actually were supposed to be on the tour the day before we went but somehow mis-read the ticket nobodies fault but ours! but were accommodated by the tour manager who kindly agreed to let us go on the tour the day we turned up!
We had a personal tour of Uffizi and Academia provided by Viola. I am sure we were shared insights that the audio guides cold not point out. Viola was on time, on point, made observations on the walk between the two buildings and recommendations to pursue on our own. Highly recommended!
Annette was a wonderful tour guide! She explained the David and other works by Michaelangelo in a way that was easily understandable and also filled with insight. Her tour of the Uffizi was extremely comprehensive. She pointed out artworks that were both well-known, and those by well-known artists that are not typically seen. She was pleasant and very professional, had a nice sense of humor, and answered all our questions patiently. After the museums, she did a brief walking tour with us which was also very interesting. All around, a wonderful experience.
Our tour guide was fantastic. She guided us through to see David and offered many pertinent facts and background. After the Academia Gallery, she walked us through to the Uffizi Gallery and showed us other famous landmarks and provided background. Once inside the Uffizi, she took us to all the most important spots, got us right up to the artwork and gave great descriptions. I could not have done this without her and gained so much appreciation for the art and artists, which I probably would not have achieved by myself.
A great tour to get the most out of the Uffizi and Accademia. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We started in the Accademia and skipped the line to see the statue of David. She talked us through some of the key pieces in the Accademia and history about the statue. Next we walked through the streets of Florence, stopping for coffee by the Duomo to admire this beautiful building before moving on to the Uffizi. This is a large and amazing museum with long lines even in early May! Our guide took us through the key works of art in the museum and then left us with plenty of time to explore by ourselves after the tour ended. I don't think I would have got as much out of these locations exploring by myself!
Sure, we saw David and countless treasures of L'Uffizi. And, yes, we skipped the lines as promised. But all the credit for making it a wonderful and educational day goes to our tour guide, Viola I hope I have spelled it right!. She knows her Florentine history like the back of her hand and spoke in English effortlessly. Our group started at 5 people, but was down to 3 after Accademia, which enabled Viola to give us even more individual attention and education. She took us by a couple of extra attractions and got us fed. Mind you , she didn't have to do this since she could have tried to end our tour a little earlier to give herself a break before her afternoon tour started, but she instead sacrificed what could have been her personal time to make our experience that much better. Bravissima!
The Uffizi and Accademia Walking Tours were amazing. We were so lucky to get Viola as our guide. Besides being so animated and engaging, her knowledge was superb. We asked her how she knew so much and we found out she had 2 degrees in Art History.
We were never rushed and she added to our questions. We've been told by many acquaintances, that the Viator tours are the best.
So glad we decided to book this guided tour, we would have been completely lost in the Uffizi on our own. The added walking tour to the Accademia was excellent, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and I was pleasantly surprised that anything we pointed out or had question about along the way he would stop and take the time to share what he knew about the place.
A very interesting tour. Our guide Annette was very knowelagable and showed us the highlights of both galleries with a fantastic commentary. Well paced and informative.

We were late for the Uffizi tour but our guide for the day, Annette, was gracious to come back to get us for the Accademia private tour. We were her only quests. She was just fabulous!! She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in all the exhibits. She gave us some great shopping and dining tips. She also gave us our Uffizi passes so we could go back later. And we did.
Marco was friendly, knowledgeable and funny! It was a small group of 4 and we were able to cover all the important highlights of both museums. This is the right way to cover the two museums.
All the tours in Florence for myself, and my Villa guests, were done very well with no hassles. I would recommend Viator Tours to anyone looking for a good tour and good guides.
Riccardo was a great tour guide kept everyone very engaged, and provided a very knowledgeable commentary and great insights to both galleries. Highly recommended.
