Meet your host in the morning at Santa Maria Novella Station in central Florence. Receive your round-trip train ticket, vaporetto ticket and information about train times, and then take off on your own to catch your high-speed train.
After roughly two hours, arrive in the heart of the UNESCO-listed city of Venice. Hop off and hit the streets to explore, enjoying the leisurely pace of your own sightseeing plans. To get around the city, use your Vessel ticket on the city’s vaporetto transport system, valid for 12 hours and covering most areas in central Venice.
Marvel at major landmarks including St Mark’s Basilica, Rialto Bridge and the Venetian Gothic style of Doge’s Palace. After strolling through St Mark’s Square, perhaps relax with an espresso or lunch at one of the many cafés and restaurants in the city center. After a day of independent sightseeing, make your own way to Venice’s Santa Lucia Station to return to Florence by high-speed train.
