The tour guide was very helpful. She made sure we understood everything before sending us on our way.
We took a day trip to Venice, and the best way was by high speed train. However, beware that Venice is very crowded during the hours we were there 0900 until 1900. The train was 2.5 hours late, which was very disappointing because we could have spent more time exploring the city. Overall, I would recommend this trip.
This was a very convenient way to take a day trip to Venice from Florence. We may have been able to figure it out ourselves, but it was very nice to meet someone at the train station to get our tickets, directions, and vaporetto tickets, especially since it was our first time traveling to Venice. After our meeting, we were on our own for a fun adventure!
Wonderful, someone meet you at the train station to give you, your vouchers and provided you with a water taxi time schedule. Only thing missing was a map of Venice .
If you have never been to Venice this day trip is worth the price. Made the experience very easy considering it was a foreign city that none of us had ever visited. So happy that we made the trip.
The tour guides really do makes these tours, and the tours make your vacation. We took several with different tour companies and both of our favorite tours were with walkabout Florence, so I recommend you chose this company. All enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides.
Thanks for a great day, Maria!
Ed and Faye - Ascot Vale, Victoria. The whole day was amazing - from road, rail and water travel. Venice was just mind blowing. Such a fantastic tour. Would highly recommend this one.
We felt very comfortable knowing that the train tickets, vaporetto tickets, and admission into St. Mark's cathedral were all taken care of for our trip from Florence to Venice for the day. We were free to wander and boat around on the vaporetto all day in Venice and made our way around the city walking and boating.
The high-speed train trip was great. We met our coordinator at the train station where she gave us information on how to catch the train, which stop to get off on, and how to take the vaporettos water buses to get around. It was a little confusing on how to read the vaporetto schedule but ultimately, my sister and I would just find a boarding area and catch the next one that came along which did not require a long wait. We almost skipped out on the tour of St Mark's Basilica, which is included with the tour, but decided to do it. It was so worth it and the tour takes less than 30 minutes so don't bypass it! I would definitely recommend this service to cut down on the time you would waste to buy train tickets, figure out the schedule, buy vaporetto tickets, and wait in line to buy tickets and then to get into St Mark's Basilica. We only had one day in Venice so this service was fantastic!
