Make your own way to the centrally located office to meet your professional chef-guide before your afternoon or evening tour starts.
Transfer by minibus to a private estate situated in the hills above Florence. Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional fettunta (toast with toppings) appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine. Soak in views of the rolling hills as your instructor shares the backstory of Italy's famous foods: pizza and gelato.
Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pizza dough, and explains regional variations. After preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven. When ready, sit down to enjoy your pizza accompanied by wine or beer.
For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. Your instructor provides recipes for the pizza and gelato so that you can make them at home.
Your culinary experience ends after five hours with return to your starting point in Florence.
The best cooking experience ever! Ive taken classes in NYC and LA and this is top notch. My daughter and I love pizza and gelato and learning the science behind what makes delicious pizza - too much flour and handling makes your pizza like David and using liquid nitrogen to cool the gelato quickly to retain the flavor and bring out all the amazing fresh flavors - Delizioso! Enrico, Luca, Massimiliano - It was a beautiful, delicious, and wildly entertaining dream come true. We will be back! Grazie Mille!!
This was by far my favorite experience during our trip. I would recommend this class to everyone if your visiting Florence.
Wow! Such a truly wonderful experience!! I can not say enough good things about this class! Everyone envolved made the experience unforgettable! I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
Massimiliano, Luca and Enrico. Thank you for providing the highlight of our time in amazing Florence. An awesome experience and amazing Pizza and Gelato. Out time with you was the perfect mix of learning, fun, entertainment and showmanship. A wonderful time was had by our family. And we laughed at our video - a treasured memory! Thanks for the recepies too :- Belongs to you!
great experience! :- Thank you!
This was so much more than an outstanding cooking class - it was an outstanding experience! The entire five hours flew by and we were participating the entire time, from the short bus ride to the country side, to the glass of wine upon arrival which never seemed to be empty throughout the evening! through learning the why of each step of our pizza and gelato preparation and eating the meal that we had each made. Lavi, Enrico and Luca were high energy enthusiastically fun and entertaining and made sure that we were right there with them - they were having a good time and they made sure that we were too! There were three generations in our family group and all of us agree that this experience is the first thing that we will recommend to our friends when they ask us for recommendations in Florence. PLUS, a very reasonable price for the experience - we got our money's worth, and more!!
This tour is worth every penny! My husband and I went on this tour a few nights ago, and it has been the highlight of our trip so far. The view from the farm is incredible. It was great to get to watch the sunset over the hills of Tuscany. Our chefs, Ludo, Enri, and Max were very knowledgeable about the process of making pizza and gelato. They took the time to explain the why's and how's behind the whole process, which my husband and I found very interesting. They were also hilarious and very personable! They took time to help each group or person during the pizza and gelato process. In the end, we each got to eat our own pizza and then a sample of everyone's gelato! The whole thing was very professionally done, and you weren't sitting and waiting, except waiting for your chance to make your own pizza near the end of the tour. It also lasts all of the 5 hours that the description lists. This tour is a MUST!

This was an excellent experience that is even better than advertised. The ride to the farmhouse takes about 20 minutes, and then you are working with Luca, Enrico, and Lavi to make fresh and unique pizza and gelato. Each couple prepares a gelato of their choosing and gets to try everyone's gelato at the end of the night. Each individual makes their own pizza with fresh ingredients prepared by us with some handpicked from the garden on the estate. The pizza, wine, and gelato were only topped by the amazing view of the Tuscan countryside with incredible photo opportunities. This was a highlight of our trip, and I would recommend this for any and all ages of persons visiting Florence. A must!
This class was a delight! Chris, Luka and Enrico were informative, creative and funny. The demonstrations were lively, the wine, beer and water flowed. We got to eat as we learned. We started with Gelato so that could be setting up while we made pizza. It was hands on at every turn. We even learned to toss the dough in the air! I would highly recommend this class. The farm was beautiful, well cared for, the views were lovely, high in the hills.
The BEST part of our two-week vacation in Europe. The chefs were ALL fantastic and the pizza and gelato we made and ate was delicious! Beer and wine flowed freely and we had a fabulous hilltop view overlooking Florence. Luca was hilarious and made the experience so much fun. HIGHLY recommended. - Randy from Houston, TX
