This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Italy. Barbara our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, a great sense of humour and also very passionate about Florence. We thoroughly enjoyed our three hours with her and would not hesitate to recommend her to any interested visitors.
we had a wonderful tour of florence. unfortunately for us we did not realize the morning traffic would be so congested so we were late to meet our guide. she was most gracious and knowledgeable. we had a member of our group who needed to see a doctor and she took care of that also by bringing us to the doctor's office after our tour was done. so in addition to seeing the ponte vecchio, david and the other amazing sights we were so well treated that i would highly recommend this experience.
If I could, I would give Brenda six stars - she was amazing! She met us at our hotel and, being a native of Florence, she was able to take us on a fantastic and informative tour throughout one of my favorite cities in the world. Being that she had relatives in the USA, her english was perfect and she did a wonderful job of making everything about the city understandable and accessible to us.Also, being that she graduated with an art history degree, she was the perfect candidate to walk us through the Renaissance in the footsteps of the masters. Our time on the tour while long over three hours seemed far too brief when it was time to say goodbye to our guide. In that time, we covered all of the high spots in the city Il Duomo, David, etc., and also, many out of the way details that would not be noted by the average visitor. Some of the backstory and facts around the sites gave a great perspective and context as we went through Florence - having a private guide really made a difference. She even made it a point to recommend other sites and restaurants around the town, taking our map and indicating the location of all the spots for our reference later. Brenda made a beautiful city even more wonderful, and I would definitely repeat, although I've already been to Florence. This tour is highly recommended, especially with the right guide. Thank you Brenda!
Our tour guide was just brilliant without him I would have the place ten times round and still have no substance about Florence, now I am Florentine. Great personality and it could not have been more private than the one we had. The quick way to explore Florence with a purpose.
Siro met us at our hotel promptly and led us through the city and it's history. We did not go into the Duomo because we should have been dressed appropriately - maybe he could have reminded us before we left? He recommended a really good restaurant for dinner, and a place to have refreshments. We enjoyed his company and would say this is definitely the way to go. I can't be a part of a big group tour.
Lara was a wonderful tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about Florence. Although you can certainly not learn all there is to know about Florence in one day, Laura was able to give us a very in-depth yet easy to understand tour that helped us to appreciate the vast history in Florence. We thought she did a wonderful job of describing the history, architecture and culture of the city. Our discussions were very philosophical and we felt like we were in an extremely engaging college class. She was able to answer any questions we had and would alter her tour in order to accommodate us. She even recommended the best leather store in Florence were we got amazing gifts for our family and friends. The tour was very well-paced and hit all of the major sites we hoped to see. She really made our time in Florence unforgettable and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting Florence!
I was impressed that we had the owner of the tour Co. meet us on time at our Airbnb location. She was very accommodating with all of our questions all throughout the tour. Since she had been born in Florence her knowledge of the city was flawless as was her English. It was a wonderful morning and we were all well informed. We were sad when our time was up as we had gained a friend. I would go with her again.
The tour guide was waiting for us as arranged with the Agent, a good start. She was a local to the city and knew all the small streets and minor points of interest. There was no question which she did not answer with a depth of knowledge far beyond what we expected. The whistle stop tour lasted 3 hours. This was by far too short for the breath and depth of the attractions in Florence. The smallest detail of any of the buildings was explained and gave a real view into the lives of all the icons of history which lived and died in Florence.
We had to curtail the things we wanted to do i.e. going up the dome, this was just so that we didn't waste a lot of time climbing up and down.
My recommendation would be to definitely take the tour and then go back to the sites which take more time to complete.
An excellent tour, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, and was lovely to spend time with. We gained many insights on the city of Florence and its history. Would highly recommend this tour.
A wonderful way to get oriented to the city. Our guide, Barbara, was delightful, knowledgable, and great company for our family of five. She read us well, with a sensitivity to our interest in her city that made our time with her especially engaging and enriching.
A fabulous walking tour. We really enjoyed our time with Elana. She was extremely knowledgable and very easy to listen too. She was passionate about her city and made our tour very personal.
Elena is great tour guide..it was great experience for the whole family...we learned so much in only three hours..high recommend this tour and guide!!!!
Highest compliments to our tour guide Andrea. His knowledge of the city's history and art provided the perfect start to our trip to Florence. This is definitely a tour to do at the start of the trip.
This was a wonderful way to see the highlights of Florence in a limited time. Our guide was excellent and anxious to impart her vast knowledge of a city she obviously loved.
Siro was our guide and had a wealth of interesting information about Florence. He also provided a multidimensional overview of the art, architecture, and cultural anthropology. His English was very good and he had a good handle on western euphemisms. Well worth it!
The tour itself was great. The guide was a bit low energy, not as communicative as would have expected or preferred. Regardless, the tour was charming and we highly recommend it.

Very interesting and informative tour of Florence. My father-in-law was really in to the Dan Brown novel Inferno, and our guide highlighted all of the locations from the book. Our guide was very good unfortunately I don't remember her name.
I recommend taking the tour early in your trip to Florence, so you can follow-up and visit some of the sites that were introduced on the tour.
Our tour was excellent. I withhold one star for the distance we had to cover on foot. Our guide did the best he could to help but the heat was excessive around 98 and we had a hard time enjoying the tour - which was not the fault of of guide. Skipping the line at The David saved us at least an hour of standing outside in the hot summer sun.
We had a great time on our Florence tour. Our guide picked us up right on time at our agreed upon location and we walked the streets of Florence from 9:30 until 12:30 when we arrived at the Academia. Even the skip the line line took 40 minutes. However, it was well worth it and we really enjoyed seeing Michelangelo's David. Our guide was very knowledgable and able to answer any more in-depth questions we had about the history and art of Florence. My only complaint has to do with the booking process - after I booked the tour I got a text 2 weeks before our trip asking for my email address to arrange the pick-up point. I never received any further communication and had to call several times to get the trip confirmed in the days leading up to the tour. That being said, our guide was there on time and the tour was quite good.

My entire family was disappointed with this tour. We have booked a private tour on our first day in each new city in Italy in order to orient ourselves to the city and learn about it. This is the first one we have not been happy with. Our guide was nice, and as an art historian, she might have been a good guide on an extensive museum tour, as she did a nice job in the Accademia. However, on our tour we did not see many of the advertised places listed in the tour description, including the Pitti Palace, and she ended the tour in less than 2.5 hours. Approximately 1.5 hours of our tour was spent travelling from our hotel to the Academia, waiting in line to get in, and viewing David. That left 1.5 hours for our city tour of Florence but she ended the tour 35 minutes early. We did not realize it until we looked at our watches. When we got back to the hotel and read the tour description we realized all the places we should have seen but did not. As I said, our guide was nice, but not very engaging. Much of the time when walking, it was in silence, no narrative. The following day we did a cooking class in which we purchased the food from various markets in Florence, and we learned more interesting information about the city in the hour that we were walking around purchasing food than we did on this one.
The problem is not with the tour but with who you guide is. The only highlight of our tour was the 30 min line to see David, which was actually fast compared to regular line. Our guide was incompetent, boring and just not engaging. I found more info about the city online then through our so called professional guide.
