A long day but worth every minute of it. These towns are very different to Florence or Rome, so, well worth seeing for their wonderful history and beauty. We enjoyed the delicious gelato in San Gimignano and I bought, what I consider to be the best there is Panforte which was also unbelievably delicious. We took the option of having the recommended lunch in Siena and could not fault it. The food was delicious and so much of it. I think it was only 12 euro and would definitely recommend it. The cathedral in Siena was beautiful and it is lovely to walk through the streets of the town. Going by coach is the easiest way to do the trip in a day, but I would have loved a little more time in both Siena and San Gimignano. Even though it was winter, the scenery was beautiful.
Long day but so worth it, a tour not to be missed. Mario was wonderful and very informative.
We had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful Tuscany and plenty of time to go around the towns.
This was a great way to see a few of the towns around Tuscany. Plenty of free time to explore.
We really enjoyed the trip and found Julie was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately the mistral winds made it very uncomfortably freezing cold.
Fabulous way to see and experience some of the amazing Tuscan beauty and charm in a short space of time. While a long day we left at 845am and got back about 730pm, the balance of guided tour including in Siena, and on the bus, free time in Siena, Monteriggoni, and San Gimignano , and the absolutely fabulous guided wine, vin santo and olive oil tasting with snacks at the winery Torciano made this a highlight of my holiday in Italy. Our guide Lucia was absolutely fabulous. Personable, helpful, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. I can't recommend this more highly. Great value for money!
Long day but so worth it. Tuscany countryside is beautiful no matter what time of year you go. Our guide Mario was so funny and informative.
Though little expensive, the trip was Amazing. Me, my husband and our daughter enjoyed every bit of it. The local guide at Siena was very pleasant and gave us in depth knowledge about the region, culture, tradition etc. and this made the visit more enjoyable. The cathedral of Siena was breath-taking. San Gimgnano is a unique place not to be missed. Chianti Wine tasting was a good experience as well. The bus was very comfortable and the tour was well organized. This tour requires lot of walking with slopping path ways in many areas. Will recommend to anybody visiting Florence.
This tour was fantastic ,we had a wonderful day exploring the Beautiful Tuscany .The wine tasting was alot of fun Thankyou
The guide was wonderful and the pace was great. We packed a lot of things into one day. The gelato and the wine tasting were definite highlights.
Super Mario is a super tour guide!! He's a man of many languages and my style of humor - the bus ride will not be boring. If you're really hoping to see some very old medieval structures or you're an Assassin's Creed fan.., you're in for more than you can imagine. We traveled throughout most of Italy, and this was one of the best days in the country. The tour group is larger, but splits up into three groups in Siena - the only place you really need a guided walk. In Monteriggioni, bring some extra euro to climb the castle walls for a unique view of Tuscany! Also, no matter HOW long that line for gelato is in San Gimignano, you can't pass up the best gelato in existence. It's amazing. Thank you for everything, Super Mario!
My family of 5 loved this trip because it let us get outside of the city and into the Tuscan countryside to see the smaller and historic towns. Our tour guide was great and the bus was comfortable. It was a sizable tour group, but we were given free time at every town so except for travelling on the bus together, the guided tour in Siena, and the wine tasting which was at a vineyard and it was just our group at that winery, we were able to venture on our own. I only wish we could have had more time in each location, but I understand that we had a full day and so to get to each place, there had to be time limits.
The only part which was too rushed for me was the wine tasting. Although I'm not a big fan of wine anyway! The rest of the places we're awesome though
This was a really nice tour and we managed to see a great deal in a little time. It was worth the money and the driver and tour guide were really helpful and lovely people.
This trip was amazing. We did a lot and saw a lot as well. The sights, the food, the smells - agh to be back in Tuscany. 3
This tour was good in that we could see 4 towns in one day and if you wanted to do one in depth you could go back on your own. The tour guide was wonderful until he got hurt and had to leave. The guide in Siena was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. The wine tasting was at a lovely winery and the tasting was great and unrushed. It was interesting to see how the wine is made and stored. The replacement guide was nice but had a very strong accent so was hard to understand. He got us into a tiny Gelato shop that was voted the best. It was very good. The hills of the town were steep and a little hard to maneuver if you have walking troubles. But the cities were all beautiful and still very Medieval. I would take this one again.
Although the tour is done on a large tour bus with lots of tourists and at times you feel herded together, it is really an excellent tour. The locations are charming and the local guide at Siena was very good explaining the history and quirkiness of the town. We were given plenty of free time to walk around and explore on our own. We included the lunch that was offered. The food was reasonable for a reasonable price however we had to eat as a large group in a confined area. In retrospect I think we should have skipped the lunch and bought something to eat as we explored the streets.
This was a fabulous tour with something for everyone. Award winning gelato and some great shopping at San Gimignano. Sienna Duomo was breathtaking and the optional lunch was superb. A beautiful day in Tuscany the whole experience made me want to come and stay for a week or more. Our guide was delightful and really added to the experience.
Fantastic tour! Loved every moment. Great guides. We bought the lunch option good vale and easy. Would do it again!
Really enjoyed the whole day. The amount of time in each location was good and it felt like lots was packed into the day, which was great. The guide was lovely and spoke great English, and the tour guide in Siena was also very good and knowledgeable. Can definitely recommend, good value for money!
Had a great day. Efficiently organised. Our guide was fabulous and did roll calls so we didn't lose anybody. We had a specialist guide in Siena but still had time to do some sightseeing by ourselves.
The gelato in San Gimignano and Chianti wine tasting was very nice. There is some walking involved, and from the coach, at each stop due to the limited traffic areas of these old towns, which may be a problem for people with mobility issues. Overall, I thought the tour was good value.
Giulio our guide was a lovely guide, funny, joyful and professional. The tour was good, San Gimignano is beautiful, Giulio offered us coupon for free gellato. The wine tasting was interesting. I recommend this tour it's rich in information and wonderful places to see.
