I am very late in writing this review we took the tour in Late November 2016. I will say that this tour made for one of the best days in my life! I was in Rome with my 2 children and my daughters fiancé and wanted them to see Florence and the country side so I booked this tour! Wow, what a day, the tour guides in each location were wonderful as was our driver. The best part of our day was our private lunch and wine tasting at the Podere LaMarrona Winery/Olive Groves. We had a very simple lunch with was perfect . The Olive Oil is Fantastic and we imported wine for my daughter's wedding! A day my children and I will ALWAYS remember. It is a bit expensive but SO worth it!

Alex was a great tour guide, so professional, with enthusiasm and knowledge. He was a delight. Siena and San Gimignano were so beautiful, and happily at this time of year, not crowded. We had a good amount of time in each town and our winery tasting and lunch couldn't have been nicer. Very warm and friendly host, and delicious food! We had a great day. A special tour guide was included in Siena who was local and she explained all about the Palio race, and through the stunning Duomo. Highly recommend.

Our driver Alessandro was excellent. He shared local knowledge on the way to Siena and San Gimignano, and made an added stop on the way back so we could see the sunset at Piazzelle Michelangelo. Alessandro also went above and beyond to accommodate my sore knee, dropping me off in alternate areas.

The tour was fantastic! Both our driver and local guide are very friendly and helpful. One of my husband's feet was swollen so it was difficult for him to walk. During the walking tour they looked after us, made lots of stops, made sure we could catch up.

Absolutely loved this tour..... only 8 travelers in a minivan with our guide Francesco who was amazing..... We especially loved the lunch and wine tasting, olive oil tasting .... The pasta was divine and the hospitality of the host whos family has been in the wine, olive oil and balsamic business for many generations was fabulous..... Their home and vineyards are on top of the world with a view of Tuscany that is to die for...... We also especially enjoyed the Medieval village of San Gimignano, the stone towers, which at one time were as many as 70
And now are down to 12. This village is a must see .... Its hard to believe that the churches and homes of the inhabitants are in such perfect condition after all the centuries gone by..... I highly recommend this excursion, and be sure to ask for Francesco, our phenomenal guide.....

This was a great tour and Leo, our tour guide was so informative and personable. We had a super meal with various wines at a family owned winery. It was fantastic seeing Sienna and San Gimignano and had free time in both places. So much history!

Took my family of 5 on the tour of Siena and San Gimignano from Florence. It ended up being a private tour. Our driver, Luigi, was tremendous and went out of his way to make the trip personal and informative. It was great chance to really see the Tuscan country side and the lunch was extremely relaxing. It truly was what my wife and I envisioned. Sipping wine while looking over the rolling hills and vineyard.

This was an enjoyable day led by our friendly and knowledgeable guide named Alex, who was also our very capable driver. There were only 5 people in the group that day, so we all received personal attention. We visited Siena and San Gimignano which are both must-sees if you are in the area. Our wine-tasting and lunch in a private room was also outstanding. I would highly recommend choosing this tour and asking for Alex to be your guide.

Amazing trip the Tuscan countryside, Stefano, our driver, was very polite and funny. Alice, our guide, was very knowledgeable of local history, facts regarding countryside and local production and ... Wine. Both Stefano and Alice are tipical Tuscan : friendly, welcoming and jovial.
The 1hr trip to Siena went very quickly, Siena its a must see of the Tuscan region, fantastic views and rich history. Lunch/Wine Tasting at a small family owned farm on the way to S. Giminiano was incredible, food was great and the wine exceeded expectations. After a short drive we arrived to S. Giminiano, a hidden treasure, again amazing views, great variety of local production by Tuscan Artesans. We travelled as a group of 8 including small children, everybody enjoyed the experience and left with lovely memories.

Brilliant trip. Luigi was our driver and took us to Monteggiori for a quick unscheduled photo stop followed by a guided tour of Siena with Laura who was very friendly gracious and extremely knowledgeable - then onto a winery for a fabulous lunch and wine tasting then onto San Gimignano for another stop. A brilliant day with tons to see and learn. Fully recommended.

We were prompltly picked up by our tour guide and found out the others in our group had cancelled so we basically had a private tour. Our tour guide was very accomodating and pleasant. The lunch was at a very nice restaurant/vineyard where the person assigned to our wine tasting/lunch was extremely personable and helpful. We ended up purchasing some wine and olive oil which was shipped directly back to USA and took off some of the pressure of finding gifts to bring home .Both towns we visited were very interesting. We had guide in Siena and she was a little difficult to understand with a very strong accent . Probably could have done Siena on our own. Overall the trip was wonderful and the countryside beautiful. A great day and trip. Would definitely recommend.

This was ranks up as one of the best tours we have taken.
We had already left on vacation, when I received an email if we would be able to change our trip for the day before, or the day after.
I responded we were traveling on both of those days, arriving or departing Florence so we would not be able to. I heard nothing more, but suspected that the trip would be cancelled, or when we got to the meeting point nobody would be there.

Promptly our driver Luigi met us at the designated spot, and we were his only clients for the trip. Essentially we received a chauffeured, private trip for what we paid for the small group trip.

First let us tell you about Luigi, he is extremely professional, and caring of his clients, checking temperature, providing waters, explaining the trip schedule, and because there was only the 2 of us, took us to and additional town for a quick visit. He also gave us some hints for our brief stay in Florence, checked on us during lunch, and took us to our B and B on our way home. He also gave us an Italian's view when we asked him questions, giving us a peak at the culture.

Also during this trip, we had a guide, Laura for Sienna. All I can say after her tour, is we now know what it means to be a citizen of Sienna, and being born on the stones A unique perspective we have never had on any tour.

Finally the lunch and wine tasting was also very special. You are treated like a welcome guest in someone's home. Enjoy the dogs too

Overall this trip was made special by the 3 people that provided it. They could have easily have copped an attitude, since there was only the 2 of us thus gratuities were much less than a full trip but we felt the opposite.

Take this trip for the scenery, for the history, the culture, and especially the guides who add so much to it. If we come back, we book this tour and ask for Luigi and Laura!

Thank you

This was a wonderful tour starting with our driver, Franceso, who made the drive fun and was full of fun facts! He went above and beyond by stopping spots not on the tour for photos. Our guide in Siena was Lora spelling? and was great! Living there all her life she was full of information and a great guide. Lunch we drank lunch! was very nice at a family owned vineyard. San Gimignano was spent on our own which was fine. Small shops and churches to visit. This is a great tour!!

This is a fabulous day in Tuscany! Francesco was our driver and tour guide. He shared very interesting history with us and took care of everything for us. Roomy comfortable mini-van. We went to the Marronaia Winery for lunch and was delighted to meet Sylvia, our hostess. This is a lovely family winery. Delicious lunch, fabulous wine and delicious olive oils. You will want to buy their wines, as they ship to the US and the prices are good. In Siena, Elena was our tour guide. The Cathedral in Siena is a must-see!!! Elena is a live-long local from Siena who was born there and knows everything. We travelled with our 13 year old daughter who is typically not impressed by much. She was WOW'd by the Cathedral. It is spectacular. San Gimignano is lovely town to visit the shops and purchase some crafts or art. Everyone we spent time with spoke English which was helpful for our group, as none of us spoke Italian. We highly recommend this tour!!!

We had a wonderful day trip with our driver Carlo, and also Laura who gave us a walking tour of Siena. It was off season so few tourists but not everything was open, we still enjoyed just walking around and seeing the sites. The Cathedral in Siena was beautiful with an amazing library worth the trip alone. A great drive seeing the countryside and having Carlo tell us about the local history. For lunch we stopped at Podere La Marronaia outside San Gimignano. We had a great lunch with a wine tasting and liked the wine so much we had a mixed case with their olive oil shipped home. We would certainly recommend this particular tour if you want a day trip to see some of the smaller towns and the beautiful countryside.

This area of southern Tuscany was everything I imagined it to look like and more! I went on this tour in October so all of the Grapevines and other foliage were a mix of green and yellow hues. Absolutely stunning. The church in Siena is a must see! The family owned vieyard outside of San Gimignano was very quaint and provided a delicious lunch and were incredibly hospitable. Lastly the pictures I was able to capture of the classic rolling Tuscan hills from the top of Monteriggioni are some of the best landscape pictures I came home with. All of this wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic driver/tour guide Francesco!!! His joyful, upbeat personality and sense of humor made the drive enjoyable and I thoroughly appreciated him sharing his knowledge about the history and culture of southern Tuscany! I learned a lot and highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get out of Florence and catch of glimpse of the Tuscan hills.
