This is a must see stop! The David is spectacular! Tour guide was smart and energetic and once again Skip the Line is priceless!
The guide was a bit late showing up at the Academia in the morning which disappointed us as you are never sure if you are in the right place. Nothing was covered in the tour that was not covered in a Rick Steves free audio tour. But a completely different story for the Uffizi in the afternoon. The tour group was well prepared and logging people in more than 15 minutes prior to the start. The guide was very knowledgeable, but seemed to run out of time by the end as we were almost running to get to the Michaelangelo section before the museum closed.
Tour guides were very informative and super friendly. Seeing David at the Accademia was very impressive and a must do! The Uffizi Gallery is a huge space and this tour only gives a glimpse at the highlights and also provides you with an impressive view of the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio. Be aware that this tour starts at 4:30 which means your not left with any time to continue to explore on your own because it closes at 6pm. If your a real lover of the arts I would recommend you do this tour on its own and earlier in the day.
Fantastic and will definitely use Viator for all future bookings.
I took the tour in Spanish and found both guides to be very helpful. I appreciate the small group your setting as well.
What can I say? David is worth waiting for....even with the 'skip the line' tour. Guides for both museums were excellent...very knowledgeable and pleasant.
We got really lucky here. Our group was small, maybe 18 people and both the Accadamia and the Uffizi were practically empty. The David is even more wondrous in person than in photos and you can get really close and walk all the way around, admiring the genius of Michelangelo. Don't miss visiting the 'workshop' while there. It's fascinating. After looking at the David, go back to the beginning and look again at the early works, the Torso etc. It's amazing to see the progression
The Uffizi is a gem, everywhere you look is a feast for the eyes. I came mostly for the Botticellis and they did not disappoint! Seriously, brought me to tears. Again, I had a totally unobstructed view thanks to no crowds and our guides timing.
We also walked the Bridge of Sighs - there were just three of us! Imagine! With no one else around it was easy to imagine what it must have been like to take that walk as a prisoner. The tiny corridor, the cells with no light, the heavy iron bars all contributed to the feeling of impending doom.

These two places came to life for me with the way our tour guide explained the various areas that we got to see. If history had been taught to me like this at school I would have had a much better education. Of course to see and hear the background of Michelangelo's David and his background was extremely interesting but even more so for me was what we learned of the Medici's and their influence on Florence history. It was good to have a break between tours which allowed time to refresh the senses before commencing the Uffizi Gallery tour. Totally recommend!
Both sites were well organised despite the obvous crowds. Both our guides were very good and explained well what we were looking at without getting too involved. For people wanting detail they were able to discuss any of the matters raised. We totally enjoyed it and certainly recommend both tours.
Two easy and amazing tours in one convenient booking! Both guides were extremely knowledgeable and each tour was great!
Tiziano was our wonderful warm guide at the Accademia. Marco was our terrific fun guide at the Uffizi. Both were incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They knew their art and history and their city, Florence, and shared it all with us non-stop. It was our first tour we had ever taken - mostly we had read up on the sites that we were going to visit and found our way around. But it was so relaxing to be taken and educated and just be led by a leader. It was a much richer experience. So this will not be our last tour with Viator and we highly recommend it!!
Well worth it to purchase these tickets and get in the museums without lines.
Great to have guides to focus on the highlights....you could spend a week in each building and not see it all......loved it!
Our guide was very good and this tour company made visiting these two crowded museums enjoyable.
I highly recommend purchasing a tour for these two venues. Even with a tour guide, we had to wait over one hour to enter the Accademia to see Michelangelo's David. The wait was much longer for those with skip the line and longer still for those without a pass. The wait was worth it. The David is a must see while in Florence. We had time to have a leisurely lunch on our way to the Uffizi Gallery. The next tour of the Uffizi was my favorite because of our amazing tour guide. He described each painting with such passion, I felt I was able to understand what the artist was trying to convey. I was able to appreciate the paintings due to our guide's interpretations. Thank you Viator!
To me the only way to see these museums for the first time is with a guide. Skipping the long line waiting to get into both is the best! If I go again I would do it the same way.
Easy to find tour. Tour guides were excellent. They were both passionate about their gallery and we learned an amazing amount at each tour!!!
