We booked only the skip the line tickets and opted to use the gallerys audio guide for 6 euro. We spent about 2 hours. The exchange of the vouchers for tickets as wel as the skip the line worked as billed. Skip the line in this case means you skip the line to buy a time slot to then get in line at your appropriate time slot. Our time slot began at 9:00AM and it took us about 30 minutes from the time we exchanged the vouchers, stood in line and got to the place to buy audio guides. The audio guide requires leaving one photo ID even if renting for a group. There is also a video guide which can be helpful sit displays a picture of the object. The stairs to the second floor gallery entrance are LONG and there is an elevator. There are not so many places to sit in the gallery and we recommend paying for something to eat or drink and sitting at the coffee shop which has a great view. We have used Viator skip the line many times and find them to be a reliable source.
We were there at 9:00AM. The voucher exchange and the skip the line went well. We spent about 2 hours in the gallery. The audio guide works well and you must leave a photo ID to rent. The stairs to the 2nd floor are LONG but there is an elevator. There are few places to sit so at the coffee shop we highly recommend you pay for something and sit down. The view from the terrace is great.
We were there at 9:00AM and we spent about 2 hours. The exchange of the voucher for the ticket went well as did the skip the line. From the time you get in line to the time you finally enter the gallery takes about 30 minutes. The audio and video guides are picked up after you get inside the first door. You must have a photo ID to leave for the guides. There is an elevator to the gallery entrance on the second floor. Know the stairs to the second floor are LONG. There are not too many places to sit down until one reaches the coffee shop where you must buy something in order to sit down which we highly suggest. We would do this again.
I am so happy that I purchased the skip the line ticket. What that actually means is that you will get a ticket with an appointed time on it for you to enter. It is quite confusing out front with so many tour groups. Our instructions had told us to meet with a CAF guide in front of the Gallery and get tickets from that person. We did so and were able to enter at the appointed time. We were on our own and did not have a guide so saw the things we were interested in and enjoyed other works of art, also. We were there about 1 hour. I highly recommend this ticket!
You will want to skip the long line to get in! Beautiful is the only word to describe!!
Having Skip-the-Line-Tickets was essential at the Uffizi Gallery. I don't think we would have gotten to see the art gallery if we did not have the previous reservations. Directions for ticket pick-up were clear and easy to follow. We were lead right into the gallery and were on our own after that. We had an audible guide to follow throughout the gallery. Please note that we would not have gotten much from the gallery if we did not have a guide.
I booked Skip the Line tickets throughout most of our 3-week trip. In Venice, we did not have previous arrangements made for Doge's Palace. We wasted so much time finding the museum and the entrance that is was obvious to me that having the voucher with all the information needed was invaluable. If I had not used Viator for all of these experiences, our vacation would have been a lot different than the wonderful experience it was.
The most art overload ever! You could spend weeks there and not see it all. A must see.
The skip the line ticket was quite good value as the lines were long and the place is crowded.
I am not an art gallery person .. that said .. I would not have missed this on our visit to Florence. Standing in these rooms .. taking in the beauty of these pieces of art that were created 400 years ago brings an emotion into your heart that can not be explained. This ain't Disney World and it's not a fun place to visit ... no giggles or laughs. But you leave with a feeling of joy brought to you by the fact that you have witnessed excellence. These renaissance masters began a movement that helped bring the world out of the dark ages and gave us a base line to judge future art until forever. And the Uffizi presents it to you in a masterful way. Don't miss it ... even if you don't know a Da Vinci from a Botticelli.
We did not use a tour guide, which I enjoyed. It enabled us to go through at our own pace, and we could read descriptions of statues and art pieces. The Uffizi gallery itself was nothing short of jaw-dropping. It seemed never-ending with the most spectacular works of art. It was an experience of a lifetime.
Definitely get the skip the line tickets! You'll save so much time which can be better spent on viewing the vast collections.
This was our second visit to the Uffizi Gallery, and the tour was dramatically better than the one we'd encountered on our first trip. If I lived in Florence I would go there once a week.
Great way to skip the line! Well organised and no problems at all!
Unfortunately, the temperature in Florence was in the high 90's, if not 100 degrees. Being 73 years old and a single traveler, these were not ideal conditions! I stayed at the Hotel Perseo which was a short walk from the train station and about a two blocks from the Duomo. The hotel was an ideal location close to shops and restaurants. They had a complimentary breakfast that was perfect. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and I was most comfortable there. My Skip the Line: Florence Uffizi Gallery Ticket worked out beautifully I was admitted as soon as I got there and enjoyed wandering from room to room for hours. The Uffizi offered numerous benches to sit on in all the hallways and that was a plus for me. Additionally, their cafeteria was more than adequate when I was ready to eat a late lunch. I also used the Hop On/Hop Off bus which was located at the train station. It allowed me to see things I wouldn't have gotten to otherwise. I never did make it inside the Duomo as the line was an hour wait in the sun and I really don't like tours. Florence is definitely a walking city and has much to offer. I would love to return to see the many things I missed. I would return to the Hotel Perseo and go at a time of year when the temperature is more agreeable to me. The only reason I traveled to Italy during early August was because of a wedding I attended in Rome prior to going to Florence. Florence was beautiful!!!
Worth the purchase. Go early. Got in straight away after meeting at allocated gate to pick them up from the assigned person.
This makes things so much easier than waiting in a line. Early admittance is the only way to do the Uffizi Gallery. Other people waited in line for hours to get in.
Definitely buy the ticket I estimated the wait to get in could have been 2-3 hours. My wait with this pass ...about 8 minutes.
It was extremely busy the day we went so these skip the line tickets were really worth it.
Gallery Uffizi is a must if you are in Florence! Paintings, sculptures and the building itself will leave you in awe.
