Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

What You Can Expect

Skip the Line: Small-Group Florence Duomo Tour with Terrace Visit, Dome Climb, Wine Tasting and Optional Lunch

Enjoy spectacular views from the Duomo terraces on a skip-the-line tour

Your Duomo tour will begin in central Florence, where you’ll meet your guide and small group. Walk to a private rectory in Piazza del Duomo and watch a short film on the city’s history to provide a rich context for the city sights around you.

Afterward, skip the long lines collecting outside of the Duomo and enjoy direct access with your ticket. Explore the stunning interior, with Paolo Uccello’s The Last Judgment on display, as well as Federico Zuccari and Giorgio Vasari’s immense fresco that gleams within the dome’s interior.

Soak up private access to the terraces, 105 feet (32 meters) above ground, and enjoy views from an area often closed to the public. See the Renaissance city stretched out below and take in Brunelleschi’s Dome up close. Then, to witness the views from the top of the dome, venture up the steep stairway on your own.

After descending back to ground level, top off your tour with a cheese, balsamic vinegar and Chianti wine tasting. Part ways with your guide and enjoy access to Giotto’s Bell Tower and Baptistery with your ticket, valid for 48 hours if you'd like to continue exploring.

Upgrade your experience with lunch at a historic restaurant in the city’s Medicean quarter after your wine and cheese sampling has concluded. Your ticket includes two traditional Italian dishes, wine or mineral water, dessert and a coffee. A sample menu can be found in the Itinerary section below.

Excellent tour. Guide very knowledgeable. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and very friendly family run business. Delicious wine and cheese. The food was fine at the traditional Italian restaurant but unfortunately spoilt by a very rude and grumpy waiter! Change the restaurant or please suggest some customer service training to staff. Other than that tour highly recommended.

This was sooooo worth it. The video they have you watch in the beginning was a bit odd but after that its amazing! You get the VIP treatment aka behind the ropes : Getting to view Florence from the terrace was so cool and it was small group so we werent having to compete to get in the perfect picture spots.

Great views of Florence! We were guided just part way, and self guided from there. Wine portion was cancelled. Don't feel we got our money's worth!

Um dos melhores passeios a se fazer em Florença. A guia foi incrível, com todo seu conhecimento. Vale uma ressalva: A subida até o topo do Duomo é bem cansativa.

We had seen several videos including a documentary about the Duomo before going, it was beyond expectation!

This tour, led by an art historian Maria?, was the best tour I've ever taken. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were able to access areas that no other visitors could. Fantastic and well worth the money.

What a wonderful experience this is. An informative and engaging tour guide passionately explained the history and put into perspective what we were seeing. Skipped past an incredibly long queue to climb to the top of the Dome and we were met by a breathtaking 360 degree view of Florence. An absolute 'must do'. Lysette

This tour was absolutely incredible! Paolo was our tour guide and could not have been better suited for this tour. He was no knowledgeable and proud not to mention just a genuinely nice guy. The climb to the terrace was well worth the steps and we didn't feel the need to go all the way to the top. The ticket is good for two days to access the buildings. The wine tasting was fantastic. We went to this adorable little shop, Borgo Vino, run by Cheryl from Chicago and her Husband, a native Florentine. We ended up staying for 3 hours! Tasted wine, olive oils, vinegars and then asked if we could have a snack which we paid for and Cheryl set out a beautiful display of meats, cheeses and flat breads. Was truly a wonderful day!
