Excellent tour. Guide very knowledgeable. The wine tasting was very enjoyable and very friendly family run business. Delicious wine and cheese. The food was fine at the traditional Italian restaurant but unfortunately spoilt by a very rude and grumpy waiter! Change the restaurant or please suggest some customer service training to staff. Other than that tour highly recommended.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us behind the ropes to places most people couldnt see
This was sooooo worth it. The video they have you watch in the beginning was a bit odd but after that its amazing! You get the VIP treatment aka behind the ropes : Getting to view Florence from the terrace was so cool and it was small group so we werent having to compete to get in the perfect picture spots.
Great views of Florence! We were guided just part way, and self guided from there. Wine portion was cancelled. Don't feel we got our money's worth!
Um dos melhores passeios a se fazer em Florença. A guia foi incrível, com todo seu conhecimento. Vale uma ressalva: A subida até o topo do Duomo é bem cansativa.
We had seen several videos including a documentary about the Duomo before going, it was beyond expectation!
This tour, led by an art historian Maria?, was the best tour I've ever taken. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were able to access areas that no other visitors could. Fantastic and well worth the money.
What a wonderful experience this is. An informative and engaging tour guide passionately explained the history and put into perspective what we were seeing. Skipped past an incredibly long queue to climb to the top of the Dome and we were met by a breathtaking 360 degree view of Florence. An absolute 'must do'. Lysette
Perfect view on the city from the terrace and the top. Nice guide gives good explanations and useful tips. Priorität entriy , special views inside the Dome and very good explanations makes the trip to a real special event .

This tour was absolutely incredible! Paolo was our tour guide and could not have been better suited for this tour. He was no knowledgeable and proud not to mention just a genuinely nice guy. The climb to the terrace was well worth the steps and we didn't feel the need to go all the way to the top. The ticket is good for two days to access the buildings. The wine tasting was fantastic. We went to this adorable little shop, Borgo Vino, run by Cheryl from Chicago and her Husband, a native Florentine. We ended up staying for 3 hours! Tasted wine, olive oils, vinegars and then asked if we could have a snack which we paid for and Cheryl set out a beautiful display of meats, cheeses and flat breads. Was truly a wonderful day!
They really take care of you and get you in where the other folks can't go. Great views and worth the money.
Awesome tour...skipped all lines and tour guide was very knowledgeable. Must see.
Christina, our guide, was amazing. She was passionate about Sancta Maria del Fiore and deeply knowledgable. She was attentive to every tourist in her group. We found the experience compelling, informative and adventurous. This tour is definitely not for the faint of heart -- the trek up the stairs to the top of the dome takes focus and stamina don't wear flip flops. However, it's well worth the effort! If you struggle with claustrophobia...good luck!
Again, after booking this tour through Viator, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we were the only two guests, and we were to be given a private tour by the guide who was excellent. After touring the lower portion of the Duomo, we were ushered to a private stairway that lead to a balcony that ringed/overlooked the inner sanctuary. Later we had a tour of the lower rooftop before proceeding on the Dome climb. The tour was amazing. This portion I would rate as a 4.8. After leaving the guide, the wine tasting was anticlimactic. Perhaps if sampling was more extensive, we might have consider purchasing some. We are picky in this regards.
What a deal! If you are visiting Florence, this is a must see tour. This allows you to see the most iconic sites in Florence. Our tour was only shared with one other couple, so it was an intimate tour which was nice. After touring the Duomo with your guide, you are left to go on your own and work at your own pace. One thing I recommend is to not do the Duomo climb and Bell Tower climb back to back, your legs will hate you. The wine tasting left something to be desired. We were under the impression that we would be tasting multiple wines, not just one. The shop that held the tasting was run by Americans who seemed to pay more attention to paying customers than to ticket holders. The shop was rather busy and we were an afterthought.
This was fantastic, there was a delay or mix up somehow ... the local tour guide was not informed that I was waiting - after I got my ticket.

This was a fun tour, and beautiful, and it's fascinating really to climb to the top and the view of Florence and Tuscany is WELL WORTH the climb! The 30 minute video presentation is NOT fun, and actually since you have a guide, is COMPLETELY unecessary, and in my opinion could be eliminated from the things to do. The staff at Borgovino, nearby the Duomo where we went for our wine and cheese tasting afterwards were WONDERFUL! I even bought some Chianti and Olive Oil there to celebrate our time in Florence. This is definitely an activity I enjoyed, and would have enjoyed even MORE if that 30 minutes at the beginning could be spent doing something else......
Irene was great and as we were the only two in the group , it was a private tour essentially. BUT we were not taken up the dome or terrace , offered no lunch or wine tasting which was part of the price. We learned loads but felt let down as we did not receive what we paid for.
This tour was absolutely amazing - the Terrace visit brings you out to the lower roof of the building and affords great views. The reason I give it 3 stars is because you can get the same tour directly from the Duomo Museum for about half the price it just doesn't include the wine tasting.
The Duomo is worth doing, and climbing to the top of the building is also a great activity. We did the Bell tower as well, but you get the same view, so if you're only going to do one, do the Duomo.
It was not exactly what I expected. I thought the wine tasting and lunch would be on the Duomo terrace, not at two different venues down the street. Also the sweet Italian guide was very nice and helpful, however her accent when speaking English was so heavy, sometimes I could not understand her. I probably would have comprehended her better if she had spoken to me in Italian!
Tour guide was great and got to go a little off the beaten path, but overall was not worth the price. Especially the optional lunch at the end not very good.
The guide spoke broken english and spoke very quietly so we didn't hear much while on the tour. The dome climb was optional and not with the guide - you would be much better off just buying an entrance ticket.
