What To Expect

Join your instructors and fellow classmates in central Florence and head to the Central Market nearby. Filled with stands of fresh produce, the market is a heavenly spot for foodies.

Step inside and meet the local vendors as you search for ingredients and other Florentine delicacies. After gathering everything you need for your meal, walk to the cooking school.

Tie on your apron and get to work under the guidance of your chefs, as you learn how to make a delicious Italian lunch. Prepare bruschetta, pastas such as ravioli from scratch, plus fresh sauces and a dessert. Your chefs offer tips along the way, as well as samples from the market to nibble on.

Take a seat in the dining room once your meal is ready and say, Buon appetito! Toast your newfound friends with Chianti wine and feast on your creations.

Great cooking class! Our instructor David was the best. I encourage anyone who wants to learn how to make pasta from scratch to sign up for this excursion. You won’t be disappointed!

I took two cooking classes in Florence and they were so very different. This one was truly a disappointment. Catarina our chef was fabulous and did her best with the circumstances. However we (group of 5) paid for a class that was to include a market tour, appetizer (bruschetta, pasta making and sauces along with dessert and wine. This class was on a Sunday and the market was closed. The prep staff failed to get the all the fresh ingredients necessary so Catarina had to improvise and blended tomatoes to start a sauce. No fresh tomatoes hence so bruschetta. We mostly watched the class as a demo. The main hands on part was making the Tiramisu that involved beating egg yolks and whipping whites. As well as making pasta. We watched the preparation of the Ragu and tomato sauce. This was not as hands on as expected. One of the participants was vegetarian and received pesto sauce. The recipes were printed on double sided paper. No booklet was provided and no recipe for the pesto. So the vegetarian participant missed out on that part. The red wine was not good and we overheard other participants also complain about the wine. It looked like they refilled old Chianti wine basket bottle with cheap wine. Those who wanted soda were given soda. All in all the location was convenient. Food tasted good. It just was not comparable to the other cooking class I had taken in Florence.

Wonderful food experience. Visit to the Central Market and then watched Chef Niccolo make the BEST bolognese ragu ever. We then each made fresh pasta - tagliatelle and ravioli followed by making tiramisu. It was better than expected. Our two kids (12 and 14) loved it!

Our chefs were wonderful and the food was delicious. We had a lovely time and the 5 hours flew by. It is important to note that you do not do all the cooking. The sauces are made by the chef with us watching and you are given the recipes, but you get to see how it is done step by step. It was great fun to make the pasta and the tiramisu. The walk through the market was very informative and the samples we ate there were great. Niccolo and Caterna were wonderful.

Tomasso was wonderful! Very personable and knowledgeable. Vendors in the market knew him well and were welcoming which added to the experience. The cooking instructions were well planned and full of take away techniques like different things to do with a whisk and how to cut an onion with the least amount of tears. Pasta making was fun and and the outcome was delicious! This was the highlight of my Florence experience.

Our chefs Jon and Tomasso were so fun, kind, and helpful! The food we made was delicious and I know we will be able to use what we learned when we get home. The facility is air conditioned and pleasant, perfect for a hot summer day. The market tour at the beginning was lovely, we tasted cheeses and breads and learned so much from Jon. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. Grazie!

This cooking class was by far the best part of our time in Florence. Our chef John (Giovanni) was incredible, so fun and knowledgeable! We had a small group of 7 which was I think just luck, but it made the class so intimate and special and we became friends with the people we spent the morning with! But the best part, the FOOD!!! Everything was so easy to make, but also completely brand new to us. We made 2 pastas and 2 sauces and it was the best meal we had the entire 2 weeks in Italy. I could not believe it, it was incredible. We cannot wait to make it again at home so soon!! I would do any class with this company, the kitchen was clean and easy to get to, and the experience was worth every penny. I cannot wait to come back!!!

It was a wonderful experience. The hosts of the class were friendly and cordial making the class enjoyable. Best part was that for me being only vegetarian in the class, veg tagliatelle was cooked for me and it was amazingly delicious. I recommend to take this class when you are visiting Florence. Thanks

This is a wonderful class. We have been to week-long cooking classes in Italy and this ranks right near the top of all of them. The chefs were very helpful, had interesting cooking tips and made all of us feel welcome. We made great food with excellent cooking instructions. The food was authentic Italian food that everyone could eat. The trip to the marked with a cheese tasting stop was great fun. I have made two of the recipes since returning to the states and received rave reviews and requests for the recipes from everyone. Take the plunge and sign up.
