I absolutely love this tour. I went with a group of 4 - it was comfortable and we enjoyed each other's company. Our guide Francheska was amazing. She was filled with facts on the history of the places we visited and promptly answered our questions. In some areas we were given some time to explorer for ourselves. My favorite part of the tour was visiting the vineyard. The wines we tasted were delicious, and the food was excellent. Everything was freshly made. I really enjoyed this tour, from start to finish.
From the starting point we were split into two groups who travelled by luxuary vehicle firstly to view Florence and to learn about its history. Then to Siena where we could be taken to the door of the Cathedral as unlike most other groups we were not travelling in a coach. We were given ample time to explore the Cathedral. We regrouped and descended through the lovely streets to the square where we saw video of the famous horse race and got to sample the local sweet speciality
We then proceeded to the wine tasting and lunch in the Chianti region .Here we were well feed and entertained .
The final destination was the charming hill top village of San Gimignano where we were at leisure to explore the cobbled street and had the chance to sample the award winning gelato.
We returned to Florence and can not thank our wonderful guide Claudia enough for an unforgettable day
What a fantastic day we had on this tour. It was just perfect, the right amount of information was given by our guide and the right amount of personal time. Highly recommended
This was a great tour! Our guide, Annamaria, did a wonderful job!! Loved visit and lunch at the winery in Chianti. One of the highlights of out trip. It was the perfect amount of time in both Seina and San Gimignano as well. I would highly reccomend this tour to anyone wanting to hit all three in a day trip.
Great tour, guides did a wonderful job showing us around Siena and San Gimignano and the important points of interest, included was a stop to a lovely small vineyard for a well prepared and served 3 course lunch with wine pairings. We had a wonderful day.
Awesome experience. The group was small as promised and congenial. Our driver pointed out places of interest
along the way and our tour guide was knowledgeable, pleasant and very helpful. The small vans used were extremely comfortable. The lunch was delicious. I definitely recommend using Walks of Italy for any tour in Italy. This was my third and I would not use any other.
A great day trip - lots of history included - views are spectacular
Fantastic tour which an amazing group of people. The food was divine. Couldn't fault our guide or the schedule.
Love it! our tour guide was friendly and very informative, and professional.
Helena was a wonderful tour guide. The Mercedes van was comfortable. And lunch at the winery was a highlight of the day. Definitely recommend this tour!
I thought this tour was excellent. We saw lots of things, but due to the small group size it didn't feel too rushed. The guide was very good, Siena and San Gimignano were both beautiful and the wine tasting / lunch great.
We didn't get a huge amount of time in either city around 1.5 hours in each, but it's a good way to get a flavour of the area.
This was by far my favorite! I fell in love with the Tuscany region and this was one of the reasons why! Iris was our tour guide and she was just everything a tour guide should be. She was informative, had a fantastic personality and really just wanted you to experience all of the wonders of Tuscany and all that this tour provides. We were a group of 7 9 total with our guide and driver and it was perfect size. We loaded into the van and headed out stopping first San Niccolo for panoramic views of Florence then heading into Siena. First, stopping at the Duomo di Siena then having free time to explore and really take in the city. Once we regrouped we headed to the Sant Appiano Winery in Chianti where we enjoyed a wonderful meal full of laughs, excellent food, and fantastic wine pairings! Afterward we went into San Gimignano where were took in the sites and reveling of the locals after the Palio races just two days prior! The energy throughout the entire region was electrifying and something I was really happy to have been there to witness and enjoy. Don't hesitate, it was a great day spent in Tuscany!
This was the perfect tour. We met our guides promptly at 9:00, and boarded the clean, air-conditioned, luxury vans with 6 people in each van. This is SOOOO much better than the larger tour busses, for many reasons, but mostly because the vans can drive into the smaller towns in Tuscany, whereas the large busses have to drop 60 people at the bottom of a hill and they have to walk into the towns. And for our tour guides who had only 10-12 people on the tours, it was much more manageable and intimate. The ride was lovely, the driver was polite, and the guides were wonderful and knowledgeable! Lunch and wine-tasting in Siena was the best! We had some free time to wander in Siena and San Gimignano, and the scenery was incredible. It was a perfect Taste of Tuscany. Highly recommend!
What a great way to spend a day in Tuscany! As it was the off-season of December there were just 3 of us, plus our guide Anna and driver Francesco. The small group size was important to me so that we could hear our tour guide while visiting the sites and not get lost in the crowd. The weather was perfect too - a cool sunny day made walking easy and pleasant. The pace of the day really works, starting out with a quick stop for photos, then a scenic walking tour of Sienna with a trip to their duomo, leading on to a wine tasting lunch at a local winery. It's a real lunch too, not just cheese and crostini. We sampled 5 wines while eating our bruschetta, salami and prosciutto, and pasta. Then while tasting balsamic vinegar we sampled a few cheeses with honey and jam. And no meal would be complete without dessert, delicious biscotti like cookies. The next stop is san gimignano, a small town with cute shops and tasty gelato. I thought that was where the tour ended but we were in for an additional treat - a stop outside the city to watch the sunset and taste more wine. We then drove back to Florence where our small vehicle could drop us off right in the city, another bonus of the small group. This tour was fantastic start to finish and worth every penny. I highly recommend it.
WE really loved this tour and our guide Claudia was the best! I highly recommend this tour to anyone staying in Florence and wants to see good bit of Tuscany. The Wine tours and food was exceptional as were he owners/wait staff.
This was a great tour with a great guide. I wish we could have spent more time in Siena, but there were a lot of sites to see. Lunch was very good and the guide made sure one of our party's food needs were accommodated. Overall it was very enjoyable in a comfortable SUV with a wonderful staff.
We had a beautiful day for our trip to Tuscany. Having a small group was so much better than the large group tours. Siena and San Gimignano are lovely towns but very full of tourists, especially San Gimignano. I almost feel less popular tourist towns to explore would be welcome as opposed to the tourist spots. The trip to Chianti was incredible! Beautiful scenery, and our tour and lunch at the vineyard were the highlight of the day! A wonderful option for a day trip outside of Florence!
There were only 10 of us on this tour and we were split between 2 people-carrier type cars. The guide switched between the 2 cars - which meant that you only had commentary for part of the time, but she was very good and we had a great day. Sienna and San Gimignano are fabulous places to visit and I highly recommend them. Lunch was really delicious - as were the 8 wines we tasted during the lunch! My only real quibble is that we had very little time in San Gimignano and yet we were back in Florence an hour before the expected time - so only 9 hours instead of 10 - which I don't think is good enough.
Long day but worth it. countryside beautiful. Siena great. Cathedral there not to be missed. Our lunch at the winery was excellent: great food, good wine commentator. Iris our guide was very enthusiastic and fun but spoke too fast!! Claudio our driver was great fun! would recommend the tour highly for adults and children.
Our guide Anna was really good and our driver Allisandro did such a good job getting us back to,Florence when the freeway was at a standstill. The bonus of this was that we saw more of the countryside. Visiting Siena cathedral was amazing but we would have liked just a little more time. Visit to the winery was interesting and the match of food and wine was great. San Gimignano, has spectacular buildings and towers and of course there's good shopping. Wish the day could have been longer.
