Even on this gray and rainy day we had a wonderful time touring outside of Florence, visiting the winery and learning about the region from our tour guide. Viator's variety of experiences is a wonderful way to get the most out of your travels !

This was an amazing trip with an amazing guide, Carlo. My husband, myself and our 2 friends booked the early excursion first thing in morning. The 4 of us were the only ones who booked this tour. Carlo drove us through the Tuscan countryside where we stopped to take scenic pictures. Next we stopped in a small town called Greve where we did some shopping. Finally we arrived at Montecchio Vineyard where we watched olives being crushed into oil and paste, and down into the wine cellars to see the making of wine. Grand finale the wine tasting! We can't say enough about Carlo and how he answered every single question we asked. He is very knowledgeable on the history of Florence and this made for a dynamic tour. Also Lodovica at the vineyard was so informative about the whole process of making olive oil and wine. This tour will forever be burnt in our minds and now that we are home we continue to talk about it. Thank you Carlo and Lodovica!

We met at a designated spot and were transported to a winery about 45 minutes outside of Florence. We had about 15 people in our group and traveled in a comfortable van. On the way to the winery our guide/driver gave us information on the sights we were passing and also a lesson on the wine making of the region. Our tour of the Montecchio vineyard was wonderful and it was followed by the opportunity to sample some wine. We were seated at lovely tables and served bruschetta, bread, cheeses and meat with our wine. The bottles were left on the table, so we could have a little more of the wine we liked. On the way back to Florence we made a stop in a small town in Tuscana for about 30 minutes, We had lovely service at a restaurant called Greve ni Chianti. Our guide and the group we were with made for a very enjoyable day.

Awesome excursion, we were only a group of 8 and had a wonderful drive through the Tuscan countryside with highly knowledgeable and professional driver Carlo. Our tour of the winery was very cool, we got to sample 3 amazing wines and lots more food samples than we had expected, all very tasty. The countryside was beautiful, the food and wine excellent - 10/10 would do again.

Our driver, Carlos, made this trip very enjoyable. He was friendly, very knowledgeable of the area, and took us through the countryside so we could enjoy the Tuscan scenery. First stop was in the small town of Greve for cappuccino and pastry, then on to the winery. The tasting included three wines as well as very nice appetizers to compliment each wine. After tasting, we were taken down into the cellar to see how the wine is aged and processed. It was a most enjoyable and relaxing day!
