Highly recommend you take this when visiting Florence to see the most beautiful areas of the Chianti Region you otherwise could not. Lavi was the best tour guide we had on our whole trip to Italy and made the day so much fun! She is very knowledgeable about wine and we learned a lot. Romelu did a great job driving those streets as well!

Worth the $$$! Beautiful Day
Danny_L, May 2022
10/10 recommend this tour! Gloria and Romolo (I hope I spelled that right) were great guides for the day. Gloria is so knowledgeable about all things wine, olive oil, and Florence and Tuscany in general. All three of the wineries we visited were beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The lunch was delicious and my wife and I really enjoyed eating family style with all the other people on the tour. This wasn’t just a wine tasting. We got to see some really beautiful villas, vineyards, and gardens. The whole experience felt perfectly curated. Something I really appreciated was that we were never on the bus for too long. 30-40 minutes at most. Overall really great tour and a rather inexpensive way to experience the Tuscan countryside compared to staying in Tuscany, and getting around on your own.

What an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this tour to any beginner to any veteran of appreciating wine.

What an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this tour to any beginner to any veteran of appreciating wine. Gloria was our tour guide (awarded sommelier) and she was VERY informative, had a great sense of humor, and was very personable — request for her if you can. It was exciting to see the reason it’s called a chianti “safari” because when we got to the country-side, the tour vehicle (the “beast” as Gloria calls it) goes a bit off the beaten path where typical street bus tours just aren’t capable of going, but in a very safe way. The drive was very smooth as well, thanks to the driver Romanolo.
Not just for Wine drinkers - all around experience!
Krissy_P, Nov 2022
This was a great tour. What sold me was the “off roading “ vehicle. It was fun to me to be able to see these sights in a more special/different way than what is probably normally offered. I also liked that this tour took you to places where the “locals” go including the restaurant. The environment was fun and it was nice to bond with a more intimate group. (You can see we took some pictures with some friends we met on the tour) My boyfriend and I are not wine drinkers - we actually don’t drink much at all. So if you are avoiding this tour for that reason - think again! It was fun to taste the wine and learn about it (it did get a little dry (no pun intended) at times with the info - we learned a lot )) it was interesting for me when we learned about the area, the Medici, the related history. The highlights for me were the bus ride( the views were great and the ride was fun), the meal( such a cool place), and the mansion ( so beautiful) We went in November - there was a lot outside so make sure to bring shoes you don’t care about getting dirty and a jacket. Alessandro was great and very inclusive. He made sure to answer all questions and taught us how to pick a good Chianti Classico wine. Enjoy!
Great way to experience many aspects of Tuscany, specifically Chianti Classico
Brock_R, Nov 2022
Booked this excursion based on the high reviews and it did not dissapoint. Our guide and somalia Lavi was fantastic. Having traveled to a few different wine regions in the past, we were a bit nervous that this tour would be very repetitive and touristy. I do feel that even if you knew absolutely nothing about wine or the wine making process, this tour would be great for you. And even with a bit more experience as ourselves, there was still much insightful information particular to the region and from Lavi's somalia perspective and expertise. All that being said, she made the entire day fun for all at every level, what a true talent for what she is doing. And a special shout out to our driver Roberto for safely navigating us around in the monstrous vehicle in a timely fashion. As for the experience itself, we felt it was a terrific way to experience 3 completley unique and different wineries in Tuscany. One being a private villa was was gorgeous and so unique to see first hand. It was also fantastic to be able to endulge in many fantastic local dishes to accompany the excellent local wines. It really checked a lot of boxes of the local wine and food experiences, especially if you have limited time in the area. If this excursion is of any interest to you, do not hesitate and I we are certain you will thoroughly enjoy as we did.
Glorious day and beautiful sunset
Hamish_C, Nov 2022
Legend of a driver in Roberto who kept it safe and fun. Hell of a fun guide and leader in Levinia (name means mother of the Roman people 🥳) who’s from the region. You will have a spectacular day and eat and drink like gods. This is not an overwhelming tour of information, it’s a tour focused on true experience of what the region produces in food and wine… simple. Enjoy it and thank me later for getting you to book it. Huge shoutout to the guys we met on the way! Phenomenal day out and I hope to see everyone again some day. Cheers, Hamish Cameron-Gilvear 🍻
Amazing tour!!

Enchanting Day in Chianti!
Emily_S, Sep 2022
WOW!!! This experience was incredible. Our tour guide Alex was so knowledgeable (and had the best tour guide voice), entertaining, and a great host. The 3 wineries we visited had excellent wines. The meat and cheese we had were delicious. But one of the highlights was lunch! The ravioli and pappardelle were out of this world. I cannot recommend this tour enough!! If you are visiting Florence, this is a must!!
Amazing Wine Tour!
Julia_M, Sep 2022
Alex is passionate about his knowledge of wine and his love for his home area of Tuscany, and he shares that with every person in the tour group in an entertaining way. He has picked out special places to visit with rich history, distinctive wine tastings and an amazing scenic ride through the beautiful countryside. Alex creates a memorable experience on this journey that we will remember for a lifetime. It is the best tour we have ever had and was well worth it!
Wine Lovers Dream Day!
Thomas_A, Sep 2022
Gloria was our amazing guide and Romolo was our very skilled driver. Gloria was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. The 4x4 pictured is no joke as it was needed to access the wineries we toured! The wine, olive oil and food were delicious. I’m writing this review at the end of our ten day vacation of Italy and this was by far the best day. If you pick just one tour in all of Tuscany, this is the one; especially if you’re a wine lover!

I'd give more than 5 stars if I could
Theresa_P, Sep 2022
We had the absolute best time on this wine tour! Our guide Gloria was incredibly knowledgeable, her English was wonderful, and had such a great sense of humor throughout the long day. The wines were delicious and we especially enjoyed the olive oil tasting at stop #2.

Very fun!
Erin_R, Sep 2022
Chianti wine tour and safari was great! Our guide Lavi was an amazing guide who is also a somaleia. She was very knowledgeable but kept it light and fun for the group. She was well versed and shared about the history, wine making process, proper tasting etiquette and was able to answer some of my technical questions but made a fun experience for those that were more interested in just drinking. We were also blessed to be there in September during the harvesting season to see the grapes and to try them by themselves. What a cool experience!! Lunch was great and the food was very good with amazing views and and the sangovese wine was a nice lighter red wine (compared to Cab in the US) with a little acidity and mild tannins. You will learn the basics of wine tasting, ride in a very cool armored type bus off-road and try some great Chianti Classico wine with phenomenal views. I would recommend to anyone wanting to see Tuscan countryside will sipping on some of the best Chianti wine in the region. Lavi and our driver Romello were both very kind and fun to spend the day with!

Such a fun day
Jeff_D, Sep 2022
A truly awesome experience! Our guide Lavi was so personable and so knowledgeable without be pretentious about the wine. The 3 vineyards are gorgeous and the wine/food top notch. The bus was surprisingly smooth and comfortable. We can’t recommend this tour enough, must do if in Florence!

History wine and countryside
Laura_H, Sep 2022
We had the best time with Alessandro! He's very knowledgeable and makes the tour very fun. We thought we were going to be put off by a larger group tour but it was the perfect size and we made so many new friends after sharing meals and drinks together. Each winery was very different and felt like we got to experience so much in just a day. He keeps you entertained with history while on the drive between locations and then at wineries teaches you so much about the process for both wine and olive oil! This was one of our favorite things we did while in Florence and I highly recommend for anyone that enjoys beautiful views, delicious wine, history, and meeting new people

Warning for People w/ Motion Sickness
Melissa_H, Sep 2022
This tour was fantastic. The guide is very thorough and you get to see every aspect of the vineyards, including where they make and store the wine. Very informative and fun! My only warning is that that the pictures are somewhat misleading. We were picked up with a huge tour bus and the tour included 30 people total. So we got some motion sickness on the bus. However the quality of the wine, lunch, and tours/information more than made up for it. It was fun to get to know everyone else on the tour and we left feeling like we got our moneys worth. Definitely one of the better tours I’ve been on! Alex was fun and super kind and made everyone feel included. He was so knowledgeable about the vineyards and the wine making process. I’d definitely say this is a must do for anyone wanting to do more than simply taste wine in Tuscany.
Awesome Day!
Samantha_M, Aug 2022
This day was a highlight of our trip! Lavi and Romulo were awesome and we learned so much, the sights were unbelievable, and the food and wine were amazing! Would absolutely recommend including this excursion on your Florence trip. 10/10!
Well worth the money

Best day of our time in Italy
Taylor_R, Aug 2022
This was the best day of our 3 week Italy trip. Pavi was an excellent guide and treated us as friends. The wine and food was delicious, the landscapes were gorgeous, and the villas Lavi brought us to were jaw droppingly beautiful. Roberto drove the 4x4 bus so smoothly we barely noticed we were off roading. This was such a beautiful day we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence or Tuscany.
A must do!!
Nicola_H, Aug 2022
Excellent tour and well worth the money! Each winery offered a slightly different experience, yet each was equally impressive. Lunch was delicious, with a great variety. Our host Alex was incredibly knowledgeable of Florence and area. He is passionate about his job and his knowledge of wines truly impressive. Highly recommend this tour!
