Our tour guide was Gloria and she was amazing! She was born and raised in Chianti, and provided a lot of local knowledge that can't be taught of out a textbook! We learned tons about the land, about the history, about the grapes - I would highly recommend this tour. I live by Napa/Sonoma in California and have taken many wine tours, and this was probably one of the most enjoyable to date. Plus you can't beat the views! We went in early September and were fortunate enough to visit a winery that was actively harvesting. Wish we could go back!
This tour was amazing! It by far my favorite thing we did on our 10 day trip to Italy. Our tour guide, Margaret, was fantastic! She was so sweet and genuinely wanted us all to have a good time. At the end of the tour she took time to visit with us 1 by 1 to help us with anything we needed.
Best tour of the entire Italy trip. Our tour guide Allessandro was Amazing. He brought us to three wineries and knew everything about them, we stopped for a couple pictures here and there and the little market town we stopped in was what I was looking for the entire Italy trip. I can not stress enough that people should take this tour, I know I am telling every person that I know going to Italy to book this!
Great time. Our guide made a great location even more enjoyable.
What a great day, we had only a small group with our guide Alessandro who was amazing. We were taken to different winery in the hills of Tuscany. We had food tasting, wine, cheese and honey, so good. After seeing the winery we then were taken to a restaurant on top of a hill to experience a traditional Tuscan meal with all the trimming with a different wine for each course all picked by our Alessandro. We all had a day to remember driving through vineyards of Tuscany and enjoying a wonderful meal together. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Me and my wife were on our honeymoon in Italy last week and we went on this day trip into the Florence countryside. It was definitely one of the best days of our entire trip. Our guide was Lavinia and she was awesome. She's born and raised in the Florence countryside and knows everything there is to know about wine production, olive oil making, and all things Italy. Her English was spot-on perfect and she also had the best personality and was super fun to talk to about anything, including some of our favorite shows, like The Walking Dead. Both of the vineyards we went to were small, unique, and special in their own way. We got to taste several wines and had delicious cheese and meat snacks at each. Lunch was at this incredible restaurant in the middle of nowhere with an unbelievably beautiful view and amazing food. George Clooney ate there recently apparently. It was great. The trip lasted the whole day and it was a day well spent. We absolutely loved it and especially loved our host Lavi. If we ever go back to Italy, we'd definitely do this again.
INCREDIBLE! This tour was everything that we could have wished for and more. Exceeded all expectations! Stefano, our Italian sommelier tour guide was awesome from start to finish, full of incredible information and history regarding Tuscany and Chianti wines in general He also gives the best dinner recommendations for restaurants in Florence. The lunch on the tour was my personal highlight, overlooking the gorgeous Tuscan picturesque countryside with the most delicious food all paired back with various Chianti grown wines. This is a must if you're visiting Tuscany or Florence, even if for a day regardless of if you love wine...you will by the end of this tour. We can't wait to go back to Tuscany!
Wonderful tour! Beautiful scenery, excellent guide, great food and wine. All and all, an excellent way to see the Tuscan countryside and lear about wine.
We loved this tour. Our guide Gloria was extremely knowledgeable and a fun guide. The wineries we visited were very unique and very beautiful. Our lunch was also extremely delicious. It was a long day but a great way to see the Tuscan wine region. I would highly recommend this tour!
My wife and I enjoyed the entire experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the food was delicious and the views were spectacular.
Martina, our tour guide was very enjoyable. She had great knowledge of the area. It was a fun day! Thanks
We were a little concerned going into this about the how long the tour was going to last for, but it went SO quickly and every experience was excellent! Gloria was our guide and she was fantastic -- really really knowledgeable and very friend and funny. There was so much wine and food - I recommend this tour to anyone who comes to visit Florence. With 9 tastings some refills making it 9, each paired with certain foods that bring complement the wine, a large cheese and bread platter, a HUGE and super delicious lunch seriously, one of my favorites the whole 10 days in Italy, and deli meats and crackers at the end, this is a NO MISS EXPERIENCE. Don't forget about those Tuscan views, too!
Is there a sixth star? If so, I'd give it. Before knowing about this tour, we had wanted to explore the Italian countryside as a central goal of our first trip to Italy. We realized pretty quickly that trying to rent a car and then finding and navigating the best streets and towns to see was very confusing and was likely to fail on our own. On a whim we chose to book this tour instead.
This was one of the best choices we made in our trip -- the highlight of our two week stay. Lavinia, our tour guide, was fluent, articulate, very friendly, gracious, and made you completely at ease asking whatever questions you wanted. Further, being from the actual region of our tour, she could not only give general history but personal accounts that really helped shape our understanding. She is a gem of a guide.
About the tour itself, it was beautiful -- exactly what we hoped for. We navigated the countryside through all sorts of hidden back roads and narrow traffic lanes to see the best of the Chianti regions' wineries and small towns, thankful for the skill and experience of Sergio, our driver. We were taken to multiple historic wineries, tasted excellent wines, saw much of the picture-perfect countryside, had a wonderful lunch at a little known, exclusive restaurant in the heart of the region, and had an opportunity to explore one of the regions' small towns. Simply perfect. We recommend this fully.
Easy to meet up at the train station. Our guide, Gloria, was energetic, fun and informative about Tuscan wine and history.
Small bus and group of about 14.
Great scenery and commentary from the guide as we drove through Tuscan vineyards and estates.
We tasted wines with selected cheeses and other foods at two wineries. Very beautiful elegant estates. Toured the wine making facilities at each place. Tour was well-organized and we had private tasting rooms set up for us with wines and food. Very nice.
Third place was an agriturismo with an outstanding restaurant with sweeping views of a Tuscan valley. We enjoyed a lavish lunch of meats, salads, cheeses and of course wines. We spent a couple of hours here eating, drinking, talking and taking photos of the incredible views.
We also had free time in the picturesque Chianti town of Greve which is quite cute and has loads of shops.
Got back to Florence around 7 PM - dropped off at the train station.
Highly recommend this all day tour.
We had the best time on this tour! The wine and food was absolutely delicious but without a doubt the best part of the tour was our guide, Lavi. She is so knowledgeable and fun to be around that it made this tour the highlight of our Italy trip.
Do yourself a favor and do this tour and ask for Lavi
Our tour guide, Martina, was fun, knowledgeable and entertaining. Wonderful wine, fantastic food and incredible sights. Worth every penny!
AMAZING day trip with Gloria, our guide, and Sergio, our driver. Gloria was knowledgable, welcoming, and a joy to spend the day with. We were in a group of 12, 6 couples in total, and had a great time getting to know everyone. We learned so much, and came home with a few souvenirs including two bottles of wine!. The lunch was delicious, and the location beautiful. So glad we did the tour instead of driving ourselves around, especially as the roads are very twisty and turning be sure to eat breakfast before you leave, and bring some water! Highly recommend this tour, was probably the best day of our trip!
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Italy! Now being home, we find ourselves still craving to go back and see more of the Chianti region. Alessandro, our tour guide, was awesome! He was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. This region's natural beauty speaks for itself and pictures just do not do it justice.
The wine tastings were excellent and truly were the center of this tour. If you are looking to go to Italy and take a day where someone else chauffeurs you around and plans your itinerary, this is the tour for you.

Tour guide was very educated. Money well spent. Recommend to everyone. A must do in Florence.
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. I highly recommend this tour!
We took 3 different day tours from Florence and this was by far the most enjoyable. Alex was very knowledgeable and informative and very good at keeping your interest.
