This was so much fun! Chef Fabrizio was charming and funny. Received great tips on cooking with fresh spices. The dishes were very tasty and can be done at home. It exceeded our expectations.
The Tuscan cooking class was wonderful definately got my money's worth!! I would recommend this to anyone.
What a fantastic night! My husband and I were looking for an evening cooking class, and we got that and so much more with In Tavola. Expert instruction, unbelievable food and setting, and we made some wonderful new friends. In our small group of 6 we prepared tiramisu, vegetable millefoglie (to die for eggplant appetizer), fresh egg pasta with white meat ragu, and chicken cacciatora - all in about 2 hours. Then we were ushered downstairs into the romantic "cave" dining room, where the wine started flowing. About a half hour later, the chefs brought down the finished dishes and we all ate the fruits of our labors. This will be a night we will never forget. Thank you for making such wonderful memories. We look forward to impressing our friends back home with our new cooking skills! We booked this through Viator, and they were a terrific "tour" company to work with. Would highly recommend In Tavola (and Viator).
This was a highlight of our trip. Myself and two teenagers joined a group of 5 other people to cook up a storm with Alessandro. What a fantastic evening was had by all! Our group was a fun bunch of people, and we learnt some useful skills whilst having such a great time. Alessandro was very patient and had a great sense of humour. We cooked up an artichoke tart for appetiser, a crepe dish and a turkey dish for mains, and a Creme brûlée type dessert. The cooking session finished with us all settling in to dinner and tasting our concoctions surrounded by good people and good wines. If you want a fantastic evening of entertainment, then this is for you. Great fun!
Excellent. I learned cooking skills, and the food was very tasty too!
The Cooking class was a big highlight of our visit. Alessandra was the chef and a great teacher We even made our own spaghetti We had a 4 course dinner which would have been difficulty to buy for what we paid for class. Highly recommend
Definitely a highlight of our week in Florence. Francesco was a wonderful teacher and a pleasure to meet. The lower level where we ate dinner was beautiful. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a unique evening.
Superb! The chefs were terrific, the experience great, and we met fabulous people from all over the world. The dinner we cooked and ate was wonderful along with as much wine as we wanted. Great evening!
My daughter lives in Florence, but had never taken a cooking class and I had always wanted to try one. This was perfect. Easy to meet our guide to the school with about 13 other english-speaking people. The school was well equipped for all of us. We made a wonderful appetizer, an amazing potato gnocchi with a white sauce (ground veal, pork and chicken, with vegetables and wine), the best chicken caccitore and a dessert with strawberry gelee, panna cotta-like top and fresh fruit on top of that. They give you all the recipes and I am sure these dishes all have wonderful names, but I don't have them in front of me now. I know we added brandy to something - but I have no idea what. Cooks were helpful, knowlegable, forgiving (I can't roll gnocchi it seems) and a lot of fun. We ate all our courses downstairs in this old wine cellar which was atmospheric and restful after all our cooking. Would do this again in a heartbeat.
The evening was one of the highlights of our two-week trip to Italy. Great fun and great food. Probably the best bolognese sauce I've ever had.
I attended this class with my husband and another couple. We all had a great time (including the men who are not cooks) and were very impressed by the organization of the program. Everyone had a chance to help in the preparation of our delicious meal of eggplant caprese, homemade egg pasta with fresh tomato sauce, stuffed chicken in puff pastry and crema catalana (like a creme brulee). The teachers were helpful and amusing. Dinner was served downstairs in a lovely setting complete with wine. It was a lovely change of pace from all our sightseeing.
Fabrizio and his assistants were very entertains and the dinner we all made was delicioso!!! We highly recommend this your for one of your dinners in Florence.
Fun evening, great Italian cooking experience! We worked in groups of four preparing dinner containing four
different dishes including dessert (Tiramisu- delicious and simple). As we've been told every time the menu is different and most likely will include ingredients that are in season at the time. After we've completed cooking we were invited to the cellar/ dining room where we got to eat what we made plus lots of red wine!
We had the most amazing time at this cooking class!!! I went with my 11 year old daughter expecting a class where we would be doing not very much in terms of cooking but I was completely surprised. We prepared a complicated 4 course meal with the help of these very attentive, friendly, talented young tuscan chefs that was so delicious and seemingly simple. It was the best food we ate in Florence and we met some lovely travelers as well. I highly recommend this course as one of the highlights of our vacation.
