Loved this tour. Met some lovely people and our guides were very friendly. The first vineyard was fantastic, a very entertaining time. Thanks for looking after my food allergies, it was so good to have snacks with everyone and not miss out. The only change I would suggest would be changing the order. After two wineries we were very hungry and most of the restaurant kitchens at San G. had closed. I did manage to find one place that did gluten free bread so I got a sandwich luckily.
We had a great time in this tour. We wish we had just a bit more time, but good times go by fast. Our tour guide was excellent.
This was a good tour as we went to two different wineries. The food at the second, Petraserena, was very good. We had a comfortable bus and the other folks were very nice. It is a bit of a drive so I would recommend doing a tour of the San Gimignano region out of Siena if you are visiting there too, rather than Florence. Great tour guide who was a lot of fun.
Perfect day full of beautiful scenery, tons of wine we tried 7 different varieties among other treats and so much incredible information about wine, wine tasting and the Chianti region! Our local guide, Alex was wonderful and made the day go so smoothly. We only wished we had more time to explore the charming, medieval San Gimignano because we didn't want the day to end!
We loved this tour - great value for the money! It's beautiful and the wines are good, but be prepared to drink a lot in a short amount of time with little food. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful experience! Mariana was a very fun guide and the wineries were wonderful.
Efficient. Visited 2 wineries, 2nd of which had the most amazing views of the countryside. After wineries, there was time for quick trip 1 hr to San Gimignano village. We were back in Florence by about 5pm.
This wine tour was fantastic, we really enjoyed not only the wineries but also the great knowledge that our tour guide Alex shared with us on the way. The countryside was beautiful and there was great rapport amongst the participants of the tour. The first winery was a lot of fun, the hosts were very accommodating, the wine beautiful and the olive oil sensational. The second had spectacular views and also beautiful wine. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the Tuscany region.

What an amazing tour! There were 35 of us total on the tour all in their 20's-30's so it was a great crowd of similarly minded people no kids yay!. Dario was an energetic and knowledgeable tour guide. I really enjoyed the two wineries we visited, both family run and no tourists popping about. We had a gret food pairing at both with our wines 9 glasses of wine total the stop in San Gimignano was a perfect end to the tour. It was great to try the gelato and explore for an hour. I had so much fun with the tour I booked a cooking class with the same company for the next day. Highly recommend,
We loved the wine tour. Michaelangelo and veronica were awesome guides and sergio was a great driver. The group was 22 people so at first i was worried but it all went smooth. 2 wineries and a medieval village was the perfect way to spend one our days in florence. Mahalo!!
This tour was fantastic! The tour guides were very personable and knowledgeable. Shoutout to Michaelangelo for being the best tour guide ever! It was a great experience. We had plenty of wine and time to explore.
very personable tour guide lovely wineries esp the first stop with a charming and informed sommelier.
Our tour guide Alex is amazing! Highly recommend anyone in Florence to do this tour!
Had a great time and visited two beautiful wineries with a great tour guide. Traveled on the van and had a very comfortable ride. I suggest that you bring water, otherwise a perfect day with good wines
As a college study abroad student on Spring Break, this wine tour is absolutely perfect. I went with a group of four, and in our van there were only two other people besides us. It was a very intimate and personal experience. As this was my first wine tasting i have ever experienced along with my friends, i enjoyed the basic fundamentals the first winery taught us about wine. We learned how to properly hold a glass and properly taste and enjoy the wine. This wine tour is definitely great for those beginners like us. Overall, a terrific experience and something i will never forget.
My favorite part of my Italy trip was this tour. We were very lucky to only have 5 of us on the tour and beautiful weather. The wineries we visited were amazing, the scenery was incredible, and the guide and winery owners were very nice, helpful and informative.
This was a wonderful experience! We met our guide in the morning and one other couple. We then drove about 45 minutes outside of Florence to the first winery. We tasted about 6 wines, and were given a small lesson on wine tasting, as well as a plate of small bites, and tastes of several olive oils. We then drove another 15 minutes to the second winery, where were were given a tour of the facilities and the wine making process. We were served bruschetta with olive oil and 3 more wines. We then drove 10 minutes to the small medieval village of San Gimignano and had 45 minutes to explore the old streets. The day was perfectly laid out, enough time at all stops, and our guide was wonderful. She kept the day flowing, conversation going, offered to take photos of us, and presented plenty of knowledge of the area, as well of Firenze! If we had more time, we would have booked Pisa, or another tour with their company.
Tour was fantastic! It ended up being just myself and my friend on the tour as there was a last minute cancellation but we had a great time! Our tour guide Mariana was awesome! She was super friendly, knew tons about the region, and partook in car karaoke with us. The wine and food that is served is delicious at both places and the small town of San Gimignano is stunning with spectacular views! Well worth the price. Highly recommend this tour!
What a fun day! Our tour guide was fantastic - very friendly and spoke English well. Our group was small - only 5 people! It was so nice to have that personal attention with the tour guide, plus all 5 of us got along very well. I liked that we were all around the same age group so that we had more in common. We visited 2 wineries, which I really enjoyed. We had personal attention from each, along with appetizers. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip. It was great scenery, great small group, and lots of personal attention. Really makes me want to go back to Tuscany for a week!
We had a wonderful time on our morning tour. The guide Francesco was VERY knowledgeable and very friendly, as well as his assistant. They stopped to let us take pictures and never made us feel rushed. The wineries were amazing and ship to the USA. San G. was exactly what I think of when I think of Italy. Would definitely recommend!
Great tour, great wine, but not enough food. Some cheese and salumi would have been good and some bread instead of crackers to try the oils.
My husband and I are not bus tour people. When we checked in for this tour, there were way more people than would fit in a van or shuttle. So, we were disappointed to be on a bus. It was nice that the format of each tasting was a little different, but overall, it was just OK.
The tour had great potential and the wineries we stopped at were great. Stopped at 2 wineries which provided great tours and fun tastings. Also stopped in San Gimignano for free time on our own. We had plenty of time at both wineries as well as San Gimignano to explore.
Unfortunately, the worst part of the trip was the tour company itself. We had a two individuals who were excessively drunk and inappropriate on the tour which is not the guide's fault. However, the guide actively encouraged their poor behavior the entire tour. We heard many comments from the other tour guest at how embarrassed they were of the two individuals as well. Guide was extremely unprofessional and wish he had handled the situation with more class.
This was our second time doing a wine tour in Chianti and I can say that there are certainly better tours out there for the price. If you are looking for a party bus atmosphere perhaps this tour is for you.
