My husband and I agree that this was the best tour on out three-week trip. The day started out rainy, so we weren't even sure the tour would happen, but the clouds cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful October day. Daniel, our guide, was wonderful and really knew a lot about Tuscan wine. This is not an easy bike ride. There are some killer hills and some pretty gnarly gravel roads, but it's not dangerous if you're smart and it's totally worth the effort. My husband and I are in our 50s and even with his very bad knee, we never had to resort to the sag wagon. The countryside is absolutely gorgeous and the wine tasting and lunch at the end were superb. We took wine home with us. Highly, highly recommend.
Guide Leo great. Great scenery and lunch. Beware the tour is strenuous- long uphill riding although no pressure on slowies to keep up
Much is on roads with cars and some bikes in less than perfect order.
Tour guide (Leo) was knowledgeable and friendly. Such a great way to soak in Tuscany. I really enjoyed having the option to bike up the challenging hills, but the van is there to jump into if your legs are toast. Great trip, highly recommend.
Hi, we thoroughly enjoyed this bike tour. The ride was so lovely through the country side. We were well looked after safety wise with a guide at the front and a van at the back. Everyone was catered for. Lunch was exceptional plenty of the proper Italian food served to perfection. I would recommend this trip.
Amazing, wonderful and beautiful. What fun! I would highly recommend this tour.

A great day out in the country! I suggest if you want to ride and have fun pay the extra for the electric bike! Money well spent! The five hills are big but with my electric bike a breeze. All the others had normal bikes although excellent as well most wished they had taken the electric choice. The scenery is fantastic and the food/wine a welcome finish awaiting. Awesome day out.
First, a warning: this is NOT leisurely by any means. I like to think I'm in pretty good shape, I take 4-5 spin classes a week, and this was the hardest bike ride I have ever been on. If you aren't up for a challenge, pay the 20 extra and get the motorized bike. Maybe that's what they meant by leisurely bike ride.
The tour itself, was great, and I'd totally do it again/recommend it with the motorized bike! The views are amazing, and it's a nice way to get out in the fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The downside is that you ride the bike to a winery and do a tour, but you don't actually get to taste any wines until the very end during lunch. I personally think they should include a tasting there.
Our guide was awesome - he was very personable, had a good sense of humor, and kept us motivated for those hills while teaching us about the areas at each stop along the way. It's a nice way to get insight from someone who great up there that we otherwise wouldn't have.
Loved this biking tour. Great tour guide, fabulous scenery and good variety of wines and olive oil tasting.
This was a fun bike tour to see a little bit of Tuscany. Do not be fooled though. The route is very hilly and the bikes are not real great and could use some attention. The lunch afterward though was fantastic and such a great reward for all of the hard work! My husband and I are avid bikers and we found this to be very challenging.
I loved this tour! Our guide was friendly and informative of everything we saw. He was patient with some of us who were not experience bike riders yours truly here. The winery and the country side was stunning! Best tour I went on through out my whole trip in Italy! Highly recommend!
The Bike Tour was an excellent way to visit the country side of Tuscany. The hills can be tough at times, but it was comforting to know that there was a van following behind if you wanted to take a break. The lunch and wine tasting at the end were a nice reward. Our tour leader Freddie was awesome! He gave us extra insight on his hometown of Florence, paid attention to everyone in our group and did a great job of balancing professionalism and humour. He was new but we wouldn't have known if he had not told us. His positivity and encouragement definitely helped us bike up those hills! Our driver Claudia was lovely too. She, as an environmental guide, was able to supply extra information about the nature around the vineyards. Claudia and Freddie made a great team! Thanks to them both. A highly recommended experience!
Just loved this tour. Our guide was very knowledgable, and safety conscience of all. I do recommend you do a bit of hill training before you go. It is not an easy ride. We bike so we're prepare. Give it a go, you can always walk, or get a lift along the way. Lunch was fab as well, and our group was fun lot.
Our tour guides Andrea and Steven were awesome!! They made our day fun and informative. I would highly recommend this tour. Lunch was wonderful too!
This was one of the best parts of our three week stay in Italy. The tour of the Ruffino winery and the lunch topped off one amazing day riding through Tuscany.
This tour was a great way to see (and be IN) the Tuscan countryside! The bike ride was a little strenuous, but if you're active at all it's very do-able. The views left me speechless. If you have a GoPro, bring it since on the downhills there won't be time to stop for pics. Most of the magic is going downhill and seeing all of that at high speeds anyway. On the uphills, take breaks for pics and feel free to take your time. Our group went really fast and ended up taking a detour to another village. It was fun but a lot of extra work. If you feel like you can't make it, the tour guides follow you with a van so you can ditch the bike and hitch a ride. But if I can do this bike ride, anybody can! If you are still wary of making it to the end on a bike, consider doing the vespa tour, hike or horseback riding. Anything you can do to explore Tuscany from within will be well worth it. Each tour does the same lunch at a venue in Tuscany (which is absolutely gorgeous and quintessentially Tuscany). Lunch provided was a buffet, typical Tuscan food, with two glasses of wine. What a great way to see these views. Seriously. It was a dream. SIGN UP NOW!
Awesome bike tour. Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We showed up on the wrong day for our tour but they got us in. We enjoyed this tour so much that we signed up for a wine tour with the same tour operator the next day.

La Toscana cycle ride was FABULOUS, views stunning, drop in at local deli/café etc welcomes and so worthwhile as it was an opportunity for a rest stop and for others an option to taste local food which was consumed with relish. I'm an ardent cyclist and did at times find the route "challenging" as some of the slopes were heavy going. Do not be dissuaded, all of our party did so at some point en route. We all got back on bikes and pedalled as best as we could. There was a follow up vehicle to help out for assistance or if too weary an option to be driven all or some of the route if u choose. It's not a casual cycle ride by any means and you are encourages to complete, nonetheless this tour gets u out and about to enjoy the scenery, taste local produce with lunch included at end and a chance to cycle in and amongst this glorious landscape. Enjoy and absolutely recommended.
Tour was the perfect way to explore the Chianti region. The cycling was tough and I would not recommend for beginners. But if your keen for a bit of exercise followed by a delicious lunch - this tour is for you. Our guide was knowledgeable.
Cycling through Tuscany is a wonderful way to see the countryside. The surroundings are beautiful and the experience was so enjoyable.
It is a hilly area so I recommend doing some cycling on the hills in preparation to ensure you can enjoy it to the full.
The wine tasting and lunch were a great experience.
A great way to see Tuscany.

Scenery breathe taking, hills a little challenging, rain v annoying.
Intermediate biking experience is helpful as there are some difficult hills to climb. We had no problem walking our bikes, though. The downhills and beautiful scenery made it all worthwhile. The winery tour was very nice and the lunch was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.
This is a fantastic tour. Little exhaustive but you will enjoy is at the end of it. Not recommended for children. You should take this tour on your fist day... it gives the nice overview of the city and you could pick what you may want to do in detail in coming days...
Transferred to the Vespa tour. A wonderful tour and everyone had a fantastic time. Scenery beautiful, the wine tasting and lunch was great, the staff were fantastic! Would do it again.
