Mai-Kai Polynesian Dinner Show

Mai-Kai Polynesian Dinner Show

Escape to one of the most unique dining and entertainment experiences in South Florida, Mai-Kai restaurant. Mai-Kai opened its doors in 1956 on the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale and has watched as the city has grown around it over the years. It authentically recreates a Polynesian Village, complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof and a wooden plank bridge entrance, and turns it into a restaurant.

Mai-Kai’s award-winning cuisine includes Cantonese and American dishes, from fresh seafood and steaks to house specialities like Peking duck, rack of lamb and lobster Bora Bora. An appetizer, main course and dessert are included with each meal. (See Itinerary for a sample menu.) And don’t forget to try one of their world-famous tropical drinks with your meal or at the tiki bar.

The entertainment is first-rate. The essence of Polynesia comes alive in the song and dance of the celebrated Islanders Revue. Musicians, drums and brightly colored costumes light up the stage every day and there’s a new interpretation of village life in the South Pacific every year.

Mai-Kai restaurant is food and fun for the entire family.

Choice of about fifty exotic drinks, one more interesting than the next. Our food was brought quickly, and between the entree and dessert we strolled in the garden, lit with flaming tiki torches! The music and dancing by the troupe was not to be believed, and the young men juggling the fiery batons were terrific!

The food was very delicious! The Polynesian dancers were just as good as those who we saw in Hawaii. The Botanical garden was small, but very nice.
