The highlight of our Ft. Lauderdale visit. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Heaven on Earth.
Of all Ft. Lauderdale Cruises and Tours, the Carrie is not only the biggest but the best.
The boat ride was more than worth the cost. We were able to see where all the money has gone! While it showed us some incredibly beautiful homes no, houses, not homes, it was sobering to realize that all this luxury was so poorly used, an illustration, perhaps, that the unbelievably rich run out of ways to dispose of their money. But the social implications aside, the tour was very well run, the commentary rich in facts, and the popcorn passably good. Sitting in the open part of the upper deck provided an excellent opportunity for picture taking. It was an good way to spend the afternoon and we learned a great deal. The only drawback was that the position of the tour boat required long cab rides from the cruise ship's dock and ate up almost as much money as the tour itself. However, the boat's crew was exceptionally hospitable, recommending a nearby park to sit in while we awaited departure time and summoning a cab for the ride back to the ship. We recommend this tour wholeheartedly.
We had a good time.
We had a really nice tour around Ft Lauderdale. You could hear the guide clearly and he had a lot of interesting information. The only thing I missed was a little more history and facts about Ft Lauderdale and Miami.
