What You Can Expect

Morro Branco Day Trip from Fortaleza

Morro Branco and Fontes Beach

Enjoy pickup at your hotel and a scenic drive to Morro Branco Bay in the district of Bereribe. Upon arrival, you'll see why this location is a favorite for television and movie film crews. Rows of red and white sand dunes are back by lush vegetation and dotted with small ponds and grottos.

Follow your local guide as they show you around the local labyrinth, carved out of the rock by years of sand and seawater erosion. Weave in and out of freshwater ponds, cliffs and dunes, stopping to take photos along the way.

After touring the labyrinth, enjoy leisure time in the afternoon. Opt to take a horseback riding trip or hop on a dune buggy to explore the shifting sand formations more thoroughly. Hire a jaganda, a traditional sailboat, to discover the grottos along the coastline. If you're not motivated to participate in activities, simply relax on the beach and take in the scenery.

Return to Fortaleza for drop-off at your hotel at the end of your 8-hour excursion.

A great tour guide who looked after us well and told us some great stories. Wonderful scenery and great company since I was travelling alone. I will never forget the view

3 star rating: Worth doing August 2016

We were in the same bus as the other tourists but we were given our own English speaking guide which was really helpful. She explained a bit about Fortaleza's history and culture. We took a Morro Branco dune buggy ride. the first stop where we got out and walked for a few minutes among the red rocks was very nice. I thought there would be more but the dune buggy took us to other short stops for kite surfing etc which we were not interested in. my teen sons and I found the dune buggy experience more exciting in Cumbuco The setting for lunch was lovely afterwards.
