What You Can Expect

Deadman's Reef Snorkeling Tour from Freeport

Lounge on the beach in Freeport!

Following pickup at your Freeport hotel via coach, make the short trip to Crystal Beach at Paradise Cove. About 12 miles (20 km) west of town, the secluded beach sits on the southwest of Grand Bahama and is free from the crowds that fill many of  Freeport's other beaches.

Upon arrival at Paradise Cove, spend your 3 hours there however you like. Lay your towel down on the soft white sand or wade into the gentle surf.

Slip on a mask, snorkel and fins provided by your snorkeling guide and hit the water after a short safety briefing. Swim the short distance out to Deadman's Reef to see schools of tropical reef-dwelling fish, sea turtles and maybe even a dolphin. Even those who don't wish to snorkel can simply wade out to the reef and see some marine life.

Enjoy the conch burgers, hot dogs or lobster salad for purchase. Sip tropical drinks like daiquiris or the local Caribbean favorite, rum punch.

Once your few hours of secluded beach relaxation have ended, board your coach for drop-off at your Freeport hotel.

Great tour, spent more time the expected. In past tours I would snorkel from a boat but this tour you walk and swim toward reef which was awesome.

Oh, my, gosh!! This was the best snorkeling trip that I have ever been on!! I saw so many different things! I even saw a sea turtle!! I think my guide was more excited than I was!! I see why they call it Deadman's Reef, I looked up to see a 10 foot wave coming right at me, I was scared to death!!

I would go back again.
I took the Grand Celebration Cruise ship to Freeport.
Did not read the pick up was around the corner but porter was nice enough to call and they picked us up at the Cruise ship.

You can get an 8 taxi instead and do the same thing...still have to pay for admittance and snorkel fee

Great reef, once you get out there!
