What You Can Expect

Lanzarote Timanfaya and Playa Blanca Day Trip from Fuerteventura

Discover the lunar landscape at Timanfaya National Park

Make your own way to Corralejo Harbour and climb aboard a ferry for the short crossing over to Lanzarote. Disembark upon the silken sands of Playa Blanca and enjoy an hour of leisurely free time before greeting your guide and boarding a comfortable, air-conditioned coach.

Marvel at the dramatic volcanic landscape as your coach approaches the vibrant red rocks of the Fire Mountain range in Timanfaya National Park. Gaze at the dominant spires of the mountains and choose to experience a 15-minute camel ride (own expense) to see the staggering natural sculptures up close.

Ascend to the summit of the mountains and enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding scenery. Gasp as your guide throws dry branches into a steaming pit and they combust instantaneously and listen to fascinating tales of recent eruptions and mystifying geothermic activity.

Next, return to the coach and follow the lava carved lanes of the Route of the Volcanoes to La Geria, Lanzarote’s premier winemaking region. Appreciate the gorgeous sprawl of vineyards as you enter a local winery to tantalize your taste buds with wine samples. Return to Playa Blanca and spend up to four hours reclining on the sand and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the ocean.
Revitalize with a delicious meal inspired by local specialties (own expense) then board your ferry back to Corralejo Harbour.

3 star rating: Worth doing March 2016

It was a nice tour of the volcano's and you can also ride a camel before the tour for a small charge if you want to. it is really beautiful and well worth doing. We were abit disappointed though as we were told we would have about 1 1/2 hours at the restaurant on the tour however we only had approx 20 minutes and it was very rushed in order for the next tour to come in. When booking the tour it was not very clear as to what we could expect. so a little disappointed but glad we did it.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better February 2017

A difficult day. The ticket voucher we printed online actually needs to be exchanged before departing on the 8am ferry-but the office at the ferry didn't open till 9.15! Lovely Spanish rep for a DIFFERENT excursion company tried to persuade the ferry operators to take us on the voucher but they wouldn't. SO we paid 54 Euro good job we had it! and sailed to Lanzarote. There the agent was very apologetic and photographed the ferry tickets saying our money would be given back in Fuerteventura-so far so good. We then waited for the bus...which didn't come! Back to apologetic lady who is even more apologetic and telephones to discover they had missed us out! Not to be outdone she found another tour-similar but shorter-with another group. The good news...the tour was terrific and the Volcanoes incredible-it was like being on the moon! The guide spoke 3 languages fluently and gave us a wealth of information. So the tour is worth doing-when arrangements go smoothly!

1 star rating: I do not recommend this August 2015

Tour was interesting for adults, not for children. Every stop we made, we only had a few minutes there, so no time to look around, even in the souvenir shops and no time to collect our photos of the camel rides. No opportunity to stop for food, we took a ferry from Fuerteventura that morning, so we were travelling a long time with children who had nothing to eat all day. Very disappointed with the facilities, would not recommend this tour.
