Perfect tour recommended to every Madeira visitor. Jeep just leveled up this so much. We really enjoyed it, riding in Land Rover Defender to see the levadas, then standing up in the jeep through folding roof and riding through nature and narrow streets of Madeira.
With coach you definitely would not see as much as we did on jeep.
Great touch at the end was riding through waterfall on the road with roof open do not worry though, you will not get wet, probably :D
We really recommend this tour to all!
Tour was great! Fernando, the guide, was full of energy and very fun to be around.

Even the rain and mist could not spoil this tout - our guide Carlos was brill. He took the 4x4 where angels fear to tread ! It would be a shame to visit Maderia without doing this tour.
Great trip. Weather was wet but we still had a great walk and drive. Miguel was a brilliant guide. Have the local steak at the restaurant stop- awesome!
This was a really fun and informative tour - spectacular scenery and great to go off road in the jeep! Special mention to Fernando our guide who was really knowledgable, friendly and great fun - much better than a coach tour!
Our guide Carlos was awsome. Great guy. Knowledgeable and with a lot of humor. Great experience.
excellent guide in Juan. Felt it was too expensive though as we organised our own levada walk by bus later in the week and did it for 1/20 of the price! Still we saw parts of the island we hadnt seen before and Juan was fun
Got a bit busy in places along the narrow track meaning people had to squeeze past but the walk was at a nice pace, very pretty scenery. The jeep tour was only ok, more impressed with what the jeep could do really. Lunch was nice, there was also a further stop for a bit of shopping and a coffee. The guide was friendly and informative.
Good experience overall, guide picked us up on time, had coffee stop on the way to the walk. Guide didn't speak v. Good English though and didn't give us much information about the country/ levadas etc.The walk is quite challenging, definitely need good stout footwear and coat it is cold and wet under foot. Nice restaurant for a pizza at lunchtime, very good off road drives and on very narrow roads. Nice stop in the afternoon at fishing village Camara de Lobos but again no commentary by guide hence 3 stars.
