I took 2 tours with Galway tour company and on this one we had a tour guide by the name of PJ. He was very informative and funny. The tour itself was awesome and plenty of opportunities for great pictures. I would suggest using this tour company for any day trip you are interested in!

The abbey had scaffolding up on part of it so we could not get a full picture, but it is a truly beautiful sight. Since we went in January, we were not able to see the walled garden at its best, but everything about this stop was magical! Mickey our tour guide was delightful, very knowledgeable and quite witty. Would recommend and go again especially in spring or summer!

What an amazing day trip to Connemara... stopping at the beautiful Ross Errily Friary and Kylemore Abbey. The stop in the quaint village of Cong was just fantastic... more beautiful sights and great little shops. But best of all was our driver... who was full of so much knowledge of Ireland's history. We all had the best time! I would STRONGLY suggest this tour!

A trip to the spectacular Connamurra and beautiful Kylemore Abbey is a must. I was not disappointed. Our bus driver Mike D kept us entertained all day. Well worth visiting.

Loved getting out into the country on this tour! The driver was very chatty and had a lot of great information to share. We mostly took this trip to get out to Cong for the Quiet Man museum, but found that we really loved visiting Kylemore Abbey. This should definitely be at the top of your list if you're looking for great views, and a great story.

The Abbey itself is simply stunning - there is LOTS of walking to do between the gardens, the Abbey and the chapel... and the lunch room and gift shop were tours in themselves! The Village of Cong was sweet, but not much open the day we were there, and the Friary was stupendous - I could have spent half a day there, but it was pouring down rain by the time we got there. Tour guide had brilliant wisdom to offer - both on history and Irish points of view. I would go again.

The driver was so interesting to listen to. I have been on many Viator tours. This tours talked great deal about the history of the area. Loved that. I thought Kylemore Abbey was nice, but there was only 4 rooms open. So know the tour really is about the country side.

If you want to see Connemara, DO THIS TOUR. In addition to the regular stops, we were taken down back roads that no other tour takes, and got to see beautiful scenery and truly experience the vastness of the Connemara region. The time spent at Kylemore was perfect, and we were treated to the regular stops at the fjord, the glacier lake and more. The friary was a nice treat to end the day. Galway Tours is a fantastic company, and you want to take this version!

A really exquisite way to see Connemara. A small bus took us through the winding roads and hills of Connemara with many stops to view the scenery. I have truly never seen something this beautiful in all my travels. Kylemore Abbey was lovely. The walled gardens are not to be missed. There is a tea room at the walled gardens that had a lovely view. If it is open I would recommend skipping the cafeteria at the entrance, head straight to the bus to the walled gardens and it will drop you off at the tea room where you should have lunch before you explore the gardens. It looked to have most of the same food as the cafeteria but less crowded and with much better views!

This tour was absolutely amazing! Kylemore Abbey is a must see if you are in the area. Beautiful scenery along the route and our bus
driver, Mike, was an absolute joy. He had so much knowledge of the area. He had a very good voice he sang a song for us! I would

We enjoyed traveling through the countryside that was beautiful and replete with sheep and lovely hillsides, waterways. We traveled to Kylemore Abbey and the gardens and mausoleum there. There were other ancient ruins to inspect and our driver stopped several times to allow photos to be taken of waterways, sheep and ancient edifices. The countryside was traditional Ireland that one thinks about when they think about the Emerald Isle.

I really enjoyed this tour. Our tour leader/ driver was Mike with the leprechaun in the coach : was great. He really knew his information, and had a good sense of humour. I enjoyed everything I saw and everything I learned, the Kylemore Abbey was beautiful, and very interesting despite the rain!, we visited the town of Cong which was beautiful and interesting, and the Ross Errilly Friary was also very interesting. The timing and coach were great. I would highly recommend this tour!

Our driver did an amazing job of describing the areas that we were visiting. The visit to the Kylemore Abbey and the Ross Errily Friary were wonderful. The weather was cold and windy but the views of the mountains and the lakes were amazing. Well worth the time and the money.

This was a delightful tour. The bus ride into Connemara from Galway was in and of itself a real pleasure. The drive is very scenic and remarkably beautiful and we had the most charming, witty driver, Michael Rooney, to offer a narrative on the interesting history of the region. The Abbey was beautiful beyond measure, its gardens spectacular and lush with trees, flowers and vegetation, absolutely stunning. The only thing you will want for on this tour is more time. Highly recommend.

Beautiful scenic tour. Take the shuttle up to the gardens first at the Abbey. Pretty walk back down hill to the Abbey. All the stories by Mike D were great!

The tour is worth your time. The abbey and gardens are impressive but what makes this tour special are all the other places you will see including the town of Cong. The guide is wonderful. This is the company you what to book your trip with. They are the only bus allowed to go on a particular road that travels into a beautiful valley after the abbey tour.

James was great tour guide and we couldn and #39;t ask for better guide! This tour is great if your looking for the tour that stops along the way to take pictures at unexpected stops. We got two hours at kylemore abbey and 45 min in cong. And multiple stops along the way at different sites with time for pic

Very relaxing and great day, seeing all of these listed sites. The bus driver, Michael, did a great job of explaining the sites, history, background, and tips. Numerous stops, some short simply 5-minutes for quick photo shots of tremendous scenery. We especially enjoyed the 30-minute break at Cong, and the 2-hours at Kylemore Abbey.

We were lucky with only 9 people we took a smaller van instead of a huge bus/coach-- and this allowed us to take roads and get into nooks the large bus would not have allowed. It was in all, one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen-- the November skies added shadows to what was left of the autumn and it was completely breathtaking. You simply could not take a bad picture-- each one worthy of a calendar or screen saver. Seeing the backdrop from the Quiet Man was surprisingly delightful as well. You might watch the film before taking this tour, just to gain new appreciation for it. Our guide Micheal was a delight and took good care of us, in driving and in the telling of tales. Kylemore Abbey is lovely, and you'll like the drive just as much as the destination. The photo ops are again plentiful with a clear reflecting 'lake' at the base of the abbey. If it's a cold day no worries, there is a cafe with really excellent and reasonably priced homemade soups, sandwiches and breads there that will make you feel good inside and out-- and a range of high end coffee as well. This was pleasantly unlike other tours I took in Ireland which promised lunch a lunch break- but take you unwittingly to an expensive meal in the middle of nowhere with no other choices, at barely school cafeteria quality. So save your appetite for this one-- and don't be afraid to enjoy it in colder months when you can warm up inside the visitor's area. I would not hesitate to pay the price for this tour again, as it's well worth every penny.

What a day and once again a tour jam packed full of beautiful countryside, a castle, magnificent gardens and ancient buildings. Kylemore Abbey is in very good condition and the surrounding area is so picturesque. The gardens on the estate are very well established the day just isn't long enough to fit it all in. Would recommend this tour.
