Enjoy views of the Palais de l'Isle in Annecy

Depart from a centrally located Geneva pickup point in an air-conditioned coach and embark on a scenic journey across the Switzerland-France border. Gaze at the snow-capped spires of the Alps as your guide sets the historical scene of Annecy, a medieval town shrouded in legend.

As you approach, marvel at the emerald waterways that weave their way around the town hailed as the ‘Venice of the Alps’; appreciate the picturesque tableau of colorful houses decorated with flower-filled balconies and enjoy some leisurely free time to eat lunch in the town (own expense and on morning tour only).

Revitalized, set out on a short orientation tour of the town, exploring the Old Town and its charming collection of monuments. Capture photographs beside the renowned Palais de l’Isle, a 12th-century island fortress, and absorb sweeping city vistas from its vertiginous vantage point.

Venture to Château d’Annecy, a grand castle whose hilltop perch affords more impressive panoramas, and peruse the interesting exhibits housed in its museum. See models of Alpine chalets and informative panels on the history of Lake Annecy, and then explore the town independently for the remainder of your tour.

Wonderful trip to Annecy. It was so beautiful that the pictures don't do it justice! We had a lovely walk around old town and paddle boat on the lake. Tour was well organized with on time departure and return. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and helpful.

Annecy and Lake Annecy are absolutely breathtaking and if you can only go for a day, or more specifically half a day, I highly recommend this tour. I actually can't say much for the guide because I left her when we got there and just met back up at the end which was an option, but I really enjoyed Annecy and wish I had even more time there. You don't see much of the lake, just drive by it, but I had a little time to stick my feet in the water near where we parked. I hope to go back one day.
- It's also much cheaper to eat and shop here in France than in Switzerland but you need to bring Euros. - Buy a massive macaron at the confectionery shop near the prison, I believe it's called Au Péché Mignon, the best macaron I've ever eaten.

Well organised tour. Guide was Yolanda, she was very good had a great deal of knowledge about the area and made sure we all knew what we could do in our free time and where to meet the bus. Annecy is beautiful and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone with an afternoon to spare.

Our tour guide was wonderful: citing relevant, interesting details for the first few minutes on the bus, then allowing quiet time for us to enjoy the scenery. Likewise, upon arrival she showed us some interesting sites, pointed our the lay of the land including an easy way to find the bus for departure!, and then let us explore on our own. A perfect combination of help and release. Thank you.
