LOVED this trip. Absolutely incredibly. It has made me want to go back to Annecy and stay even longer next time.
Good timing, comfortable bus, a lot of interesting information from the guide.
Wonderful trip to Annecy. It was so beautiful that the pictures don't do it justice! We had a lovely walk around old town and paddle boat on the lake. Tour was well organized with on time departure and return. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and helpful.
One of the best tour that we have in Swiss. Very recommend to you who has no much time in Geneva.
Annecy and Lake Annecy are absolutely breathtaking and if you can only go for a day, or more specifically half a day, I highly recommend this tour. I actually can't say much for the guide because I left her when we got there and just met back up at the end which was an option, but I really enjoyed Annecy and wish I had even more time there. You don't see much of the lake, just drive by it, but I had a little time to stick my feet in the water near where we parked. I hope to go back one day.
- It's also much cheaper to eat and shop here in France than in Switzerland but you need to bring Euros. - Buy a massive macaron at the confectionery shop near the prison, I believe it's called Au Péché Mignon, the best macaron I've ever eaten.
Well organised tour. Guide was Yolanda, she was very good had a great deal of knowledge about the area and made sure we all knew what we could do in our free time and where to meet the bus. Annecy is beautiful and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone with an afternoon to spare.
Our tour guide was wonderful: citing relevant, interesting details for the first few minutes on the bus, then allowing quiet time for us to enjoy the scenery. Likewise, upon arrival she showed us some interesting sites, pointed our the lay of the land including an easy way to find the bus for departure!, and then let us explore on our own. A perfect combination of help and release. Thank you.
Excellent tour great place to visit pity on the day the weather wasn't that great cloudy and showery
Good trip to cute town of annecy. Tour guide was informative on the way up which is about a 45 min bus ride. Quick walking tour of the town then you are on your own to explore and head back to geneva. Don't forget to bring Euro's as Annecy is in France.
Annecy is described as the Venice of the Alps and it didn and #39;t disappoint. Quaint little streets with, of course, the canal in the centre. Across the main street there is a large lake with beautiful views. We had excellent weather which helped and would recommend this short trip over the border.
It was our style it and #39;s just basically paying for a driver to annecy. You can choose to do the optional tour with the tour guide at the beginning but we had about 3 hours of free time in the town. Took about an hour from Geneva.
Very good 1/2 day tour and would definitely be going back again to do a full day tour
A nice half day tour, particularly, if you are not expecting to travel to France for the afternoon, which I wasn't. Annecy is a very pretty town. The tour was unguided so you spend the afternoon wandering around the town yourself so you have the flexibility to see the historical sites or just wander the streets.
Lovely little city in a gorgeous setting by the lake with mountains all around. The old town was quaint, clean and had great ambiance. The hike up to the castle was a good workout, but worth it. The lakeside amenities were abundant and great for just relaxing and enjoying the view. Due to time, I couldn't do the boat ride on the lake...would have liked more time. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
the tour itself was great, Annecy is beautiful and well worth the trip. Our coach was however 45 minutes late so we stood in Geneva bus station waiting and were not offered any information other than 'the bus is late'
We had fabulous weather on a holiday weekend in September , so Annecy was "teaming" with people. It took longer to get around, but it was a nice mix of guided tour and free time. The guide and the driver were very good.
Cute ancient village surrounded by the newer parts of town. While nice and beautiful, there is not much else. With the limited time you normally have on a vacation, I would do something else.
You should think of this tour as transportation to and from the city of Annecy. The tour guide who was supposed to show up with the second bus was so late we went on our own tour of the city. And, BTW, the tour company is not paying for the WC to be sefviced on the bus, so it is not available. Better make a visit right before you take the ride in either direction. The city of Annecy is worth going to see even considering the fact that it is over-run with tourists in the summer months.
The tour was literally just a bus ride. We left 20-25 minutes late from the starting point, giving us even less time to spend in Annecy. While there was the option to walk around with the guide, that would have given even less time to wander, explore, eat and shop while in Annecy. It takes an hour to get there and an hour to get back, only giving you 3 hours to enjoy the town, which personally was not enough time. It was raining when I arrived in Annecy,so I could only imagine the beauty of this town when the weather was nicer. The tour should be offered in a longer length to allow for more opportunity to explore.
This is a beautiful town and worth going to visit but don't bother doing the morning tour. Our tour was basically just a drive there on the bus. We were given a map with a short suggested walking itinerary on it but were done it within an hour. We had taken the morning tour thinking it'd be nice to have free time after the tour but we were not aware the guided tour only started with the afternoon group and we would have to come back to the meeting point and do the tour then. We therefore did it ourselves and ended up doing circles around the town since there was nothing else to do. We had hoped for a bit more of a structured tour with things to do but we found ourselves playing cards in the park to kill time. I would recommend just doing the afternoon tour unless you plan on buying one of the boat tours offered in Annecy.
Annecy was beautiful, especially the lake. The people in the town were friendly and the restaurant prices were reasonable. The actual tour though was a little disappointing. Keytours took us to Annecy in the morning without a tour guide, who was supposed to meet us at 3 pm, but she was not there at the appointed time. So we had to do the tour ourselves using a map the company gave us. So the tour was basically transportation to and from the town.
