Bus tour was very comfortable, not crowded and enjoyable. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and really gave us a good understanding of the battle and perspective of those that fought the Battle of Gettysburg and the towns people who lived through and endured the horror of those 3 days and months long aftermath! Highly recommend!
we had 1 day to visit Gettysburg. My husband had never been there but was always interested in the civil war. Our tour guide was very informative and you could almost visualize the battles as she described the 3 day battle. could never have gotten that much insight on my owned.
Having the certified guide made the experience more than expected. Would suggest that the tour bus be taken to some of the southern memorials as there are only a few and there are so many from the north. Would also suggest that there be more photo opportunity's for example at Pickets charge, rather then stopping in the bus viewing the area from our seats we could have stepped out of the bus to take some photos? Understanding that there is a time limit, that piece could be slightly extended to improve the experience? Same scenario at the Devils' den, we could have been given an opportunity to get out for photos? Knowing that there are so many different areas with photo opportunity's that help tell the story. We will definitely be back to see more of this historical area of our country! Thank you sincerely!
This is a private tour. It would be nice to know a little history of the battle before the tour. Should stop at the national park visitor center first. They have a package with movie, museum, and bus tour with a good price.
