Start your day with a morning hotel pickup in Barcelona, continuing by private vehicle on the hour-long drive to the striking seaside village of Calella de Palafrugell. Wander past the white-washed houses and intriguing boutiques and cafe of this beautiful hamlet, stopping periodically to enjoy the views of the fishing boats bobbing in the village harbor. As you stroll your guide will fill you in on the town’s unique relationship with Cuba.

After a short stop in Llafranc, you’ll head to Sant Sebastià, stopping by the town’s scenic El Far Lighthouse, a seaside hotel and tourist attraction offering stunning views. Before leaving, check out the town’s ancient Iberian settlement, which dates from the 5th century BC, and the 15th-century Torre de Sant Sebastià, which one guarded the city from marauding pirates.

Continue your Costa Brava adventure in the afternoon by visiting Begur, a city known for its medieval castle and defense towers, and Pais, a fortified village first established in the 10th century. Cap off your trip to this beautiful region by toasting your trip with some wine and sausages at one of the family-run wineries found on the route back to Barcelona.

Nice tour but did not cover itinerary as laid out in booking.

The guide was informative and prompt. The tour failed to provide the afternoon tea, beverages, food tasting, light refreshments, and wine tasting. The two sites visited were free from admission so that was not a factor. So if you are choosing this tour because of stated itinerary beware. It was a nice tour but was essentially, transporting and a guided walking tour. Bottled water and bagged snacks were available in the vehicle, their was a walnut liquor tasting at a local shop in pals. One shot of each liquor. The local guide apologized and said the booking documents need to be updated with viator. Viator failed to stand behind their booking and reached out to local guide BCN Hidden Tours who failed offer compensation because we enjoyed the tour. I agree the guide did a good job but that is beyond the point. You should get what you pay for and Viator not local guide should stand behind their bookings. I use Viator often when we travel and this was our first tour that was less than spot on.

Dear customer, first of all, thank you very much for your review, with your review we grow and we get stronger every step we take. Referring about the beverages, refreshments, afternoon tea and snacks, we inform you that they have been available for you in the van at every time. In the van you had available botteled water, orange juice and tea (mint or ginger). As well, we always offer to our guests some energy bars, dry fruits (mostly nuts) and some cheesebread sticks or any other kind of snack. We are surprised about your comments, because normally our customers use to appreciate that kind of facilities. Of course, if you expected oysters and champagne, we are definetly not your company. Referring about the wine tasting, as you said, your guide told you about the issue/misunderstanding, furthermore, your guide offered you a bottle of local wine as a compensation, and you refused saying that everything was fine. We were shocked that 20 minutes later of the drop-off at your hotel, and after a tour that it has been developed with no 'issues', because you never complained or talked to your guide about your dissapointment, we got an email from Viator saying that you asked for a full refund. We still not understanding your attitude and we do not understand why you didn't tell anything to your guide. All this silence during the tour, and this lack of honestly, make us definetly think that you are just only trying to take advantage of the situation and the misunderstanding.

Gerard was amazing! It unexpectedly rained on the day so he adjusted the trip and went above and beyond! Car was very comfortable and he's extremely knowledgeable (can even speak 7 languages!). He took lovely photos for us throughout the trip and even wrote us a list of experiences we must do and places we must eat whilst in Barcelona (and sharing some we shouldn't). After the trip had ended he even said to not hesitate to message him if we needed help with anything else whilst we are in this city. Thanks Gerard for being the highlight of our trip!

This was the best money I've spent on a vacation in a very long time. Gerard, our tour guide and part owner of BCN Hidden Tours, was phenomenal and provided us with an amazing experience through the whole day. He was kind and knowledgeable which enhanced our experience greatly. Do this tour!
