This was a very good tour! The energy from our tour guide was radiating and really made for a pleasant trip. There were short stops in between to maximize our downtime on the trip. I would recommend!
Our guide was the best. Funny and gave us a lot of informations. Going in a small group made the day easier to get around.
Great tour you get to see a lot in one day and guide Ewan knew all there is to know about the region, the bus is really comfortable which helps
Excellent comprehensive 9 hour trip. The only add-ons were Stirling Castle admission, lunch and the Glengoyne Distillery, a total of 35. Well worth it!
A well spent day, worth every penny. Our driver, Graham, was both knowledgable and entertaining and even had a neat soundtrack for our drive about. There was enough time at Stirling Castle to get a guided tour and have a bit of time to explore by yourself, so you weren't feeling rushed. Perhaps I should have read the tour description a bit better, because the brief stop at Doune Castle was a pleasant surprise. Even more surprising was the fact that I enjoyed the samples at the distillery, and I am not a whisky drinker at all!
It was an awesome tour. Our tour guide, Grant, was outstanding. He had a great knowledge of the places we went.
I ventured on this tour with my travel companion and we both had a lovely time! We met up with Lauren, our guide, who was wonderful. She played music and told historical anecdotes while we drove, and pointed out many interesting things along the way between our stops. We first stopped at Stirling Castle and she was very up front about our options there, which I appreciated. It was sufficient to tour the castle with the provided map, at your own pace, than to pay for the guided tour.
We then had a brief stop to see some hairy coos which was a nice break up of the drive. While on the road at this point we were able to see Castle Doune of Monty Python, Game of Thrones, and Outlander fame.
Our next official stop was for lunch in the picturesque town of Aberfoyle for lunch. We lunched at Liz Macgregor's which was an adorable local spot. We stopped at the Scotland Visitors Center on the way back to our meeting place - The Scottish Wool Centre. It had a little cafe within and lots of souvenirs for sale.
Once we boarded the bus, we proceeded to Loch Lomond. Our guide took us on the eastern banks which is less touristy but the views of the Loch were limited. We walked along the street, in front of several private properties, to get a better view. I wish my camera could have done it justice! After walking around and taking in the landscape, we stopped at Mrs. Mocha for a hot chocolate and shortbread and it was WONDERFUL! It was a bit windy and damp outside and Mrs. Mocha was the perfect cozy remedy.
We boarded the bus for the last time to head to Glengoyne Distillery - again, a place too picturesque to describe or capture. I couldn't partake in the dram they give you on the wee tour because I'm 7 months pregnant, but everything smelled great! The tour guides at Glengoyne are really knowledgeable and their history is quite interesting.
After wrapping up at Glengoyne, Lauren drove us back to Glasgow with recommendations for what to do in Glasgow and Scottish music.
Stewart was amazing! Very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. He had in the inside scoop on the areas and I would recommend this tour and Stewart to anyone!
Jodie was a funny and entertaining guide. She filled our travel time with stories and music. When we stopped in a small town, we followed her advice on where to grab lunch and were very happy we did. Although the weather did not cooperate on the day of our tour, we enjoyed the tour and Jodie's sunny personality.

Great trip with a very knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. We had more than enough time at each of the 3 locations and Pete even managed to fit in an extra photo stop at Doune Castle.
Loved the Scottish countryside. Enjoyed the small bus, it made it more personal. Johnathon was our driver and was a brilliant host for the day.
Great tour. Our guide, Stuart, met us in town promptly with a new , small Mercedes bus. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly, providing us with a very enjoyable tour.,The castle was beautiful, as expected. Visiting Glengoyne distillery was enjoyable on the way back.
Stuart was AMAZING! Such a great tour! Saw so many sights and learned so much. It was a blast. If you get Stuart as your guide, you won't be disappointed.
John was amazing and made the tour very enjoyable!! Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous tour. John was a fantastic tour guide, extremely knowlegeable and gave us a great commentary about the area. His anecdotes were very amusing. Stirling Castle was stunning, Loch Lomond beautifully peaceful and Glengoyne Distillery a great way to finish the day. Strongly recommend this tour.
Graham was very patient with us. His knowledge and passion for history enriched our experience AND he found us a lovely bakery as requested. Thank you for an enjoyable day.
A great day trip more comfortable than some I've taken, because there are several stops, and no long stretches of driving. Sterling Castle is fascinating. The 35 years of restoration still on-going have resulted in rooms appearing as they did in the day, rather than just cold stone walls. A brief 30-minute walk in the woods along the shore of Loch Lomond left enough time for a beer before the van left again. And the Glengoyne distillery is a beautiful example of a small operation producing some very nice whisky.
A wonderful tour and a really nice guide, John. The time was a little bit too short at lunch and at Glengoyn, but otherwise nothing to complain. Wonderful landscapes, beautiful villages and fun stories - and good music, too!
Amazing tour. James our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and we learned alot. the Glengoyne Distillery tour was outstanding and Stirling Castle is amazing.
This was a great tour, very interesting stops and a great guide/driver. Even got to pet a hairy cow!
Such a wonderful way to spend the day! I hope that everyone is lucky enough to get Juliet as their guide. We had extra time since people were on schedule so she was able to squeeze in some extra photo opportunities. She had some great stories as well. Stirling Castle is an absolute must!
