Make a pit stop at Gallery Walk for morning tea service with scones and cream, plus a chance to browse locally made arts and crafts.

Continue on to Lamington National Park, part of the World Heritage-listed Godwana Rainforests. Explore the park on a guided nature walk, and learn how local Aboriginal people sourced food and medicine from the forest.

Midday, stop at Spring Valley for a traditional barbecue lunch served with Australian wine. (See Itinerary below for a sample menu.) Enjoy free time to try your hand at local pastimes like boomerang and whip-cracking, and take a dip in a nearby rock pool if you like.

In the afternoon, visit O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat — a family-owned nature resort. Choose from a variety of activities such as hand-feeding birds or the popular treetop walk, where you can stroll across elevated boardwalks for an up-close glimpse of native flora and fauna. This was a fun all day tour. I definitely recommend it for everyone. The breakfast and lunch stops were excellent and the 4WD was super.

Our day started off the road! when our great guide Arran took us up the side of a mountain to get to the top. It was amazing. We got to enjoy morning tea with scones at a lovely spot on Mt. Tamborine looking back towards the Gold Coast. Saw a Kookaburra having breakfast. Then we were off to Lammington, which is part of the Gondwana Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We had a stroll in the canopy of the forest. Capped off by up close and personal with Parrots at O'Reilly's. A very enjoyable day!

We were collected punctually from our hotel and by the time the vehicle left the carpark, our guide Ross had memorised the name of every guest. He was particularly kind to the children on board, but had a moment for everyone and showed great consideration throughout the day, ensuring that each person felt like a valued guest.
The tour itself was extremely interesting and we learned much whilst enjoying the various activities and excellent luncheon. Birdcalls, flora and insect life were explained along the various walks and naturally the scenery was beautiful.
If there was a downside, it was that some of the roads were very winding and hilly, presenting a little problem for those with a tendency towards travel sickness, but every effort was made to ensure all passengers were comfortable.
Ross did a magnificent job and worked very hard to ensure we all had an exceptional day. Thank you, Ross.

Expensive. We expected more value for our the money we paid. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Lamington National park was a good walk, but would have liked more time there. Tamborine mountain was not as interesting.
The place we had Devonshire tea could have been more attractive. the scones were terrible. Lunch was a very basic BBQ.

A general view of the two places, viz:- Lamington National Park and Tamborine Mountain. I am most likely spend 3-4 hours for hiking in the rainforest than just reached the place a hourly moment.

Our tour guide is Tim from southern cross tour. He is very humorous and knowledgeable. My kids like him very much.

Overall experience good. The kids are enjoying the boomerang throwing and bird feeding session very much. We got roller coaster ride on the road as well.

Tim also shared some basic knowledge of the jungle, termites etc. He managed the time well

Our trip leader, Tim, was very nice and full of information. During the bus ride, Tim told us about the history of the area. Once at Tamborine Mountain, Tim took his time to explain the nature around us. The lunch was very, very good - high quality and generous portions. Once at O'Reilly's, the tree top walk was unescorted and we were told to return to the bus in only 20 minutes. I would have liked more time during the tree top walk. This tour covers a lot of sights in one day, so you will spend hours in the bus. The time in the bus is broken up through out the day, and the bus is a nice Mercedes. I liked the relaxing pace of the tour and the variety of sights.
