Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

You won't want to miss the opportunity to feed a golden swamp wallaby — a native species found only on blissful South Stradbroke Island.

What You Can Expect

Gold Coast Tall Ship Cruise to South Stradbroke Island

Gold Coast Tall Ship Cruise

Make your own way to Main Beach and Mariners Cove Marina to board your tall ship Sir Henry Morgan.

Cruise on the calm waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater, passing Southport, Runaway Bay, Ephraim Islands and the Sovereign Islands. Enjoy morning tea served on board and keep your eyes open for wildlife such as sea eagles, dolphins, sea turtles and migrating humpback whales (in season) en route to the largely uninhabited South Stradbroke Island.

During your cruise, hear live guitar music and informative commentary about the sights you pass. Upon your arrival, do as much or as little as you wish. Lounge on the private white-sand beach at
McLarens Landing, snorkel, swim, or venture out on one of the provided kayaks or stand-up paddleboards. For an additional cost, you can go on a jet ski, speedboat or Segway ride. You can also feed the wallabies, play darts and billiards, or take a walk in the rainforest.

The resort chef prepares a delicious barbecue lunch that may include steak, fresh fish and seafood, salads and rolls (vegetarian and gluten-free options available). Cocktails are available to purchase (own expense) at a beachside bar.

At the end of about five hours, your tall ship returns you to Main Beach on the mainland to end your tour.
