What You Can Expect

Moreton Bay Marine Park Dolphin Cruise Including Lunch

Take an optional guided snorkeling tour

Board a spacious 50-foot (15-meter) catamaran to cruise to Moreton Island and snack on morning tea served onboard.

When you arrive at the island, stop at Tangalooma Wrecks or Flinders Reef (depending on the conditions) for an optional 1-hour snorkeling tour. In the 1960s, Tangalooma Wrecks was formed from ships that were scuttled to create a breakwater, which was then colonized by colorful corals and sea creatures. If you go to Flinders Reef, you'll see the only true coral reef near Brisbane. Both are excellent snorkeling sites. Other options are available if you prefer to stay dry.

In the afternoon, look for bottlenose dolphins, loggerhead turtles, and the rare and endangered dugong during the wildlife discovery cruise. From June to November humpback whales can also be seen during their annual migration. Sightings of these wild animals are likely, but not guaranteed. You can also get great photo ops of the fish that circle your boat during a fish feeding demonstration.

Lunch features a buffet that includes fresh seafood and chicken. Afterward, have free time to relax on the beach or walk on the sand dunes.

At the end of an amazing 7-hour tour, your boat returns to the mainland.

Great trip. Good food, friendly staff/skipper, not an overly-crowded boat. Fun!

A fun day. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the boat was comfortable. The lunch was nothing special and a bit disappointing that no drinks were included with it given the price.

The crew was terrific and very entertaining. We cruised to Moreton Bay Marine Park and had time to walk the beach or swim, whatever we wanted to do. This lasted for an hour and when we reboarded, the crew had lunch ready for us. I was surprised as the quality of the lunch-not a boxed lunch that you sometimes get. We cruised around a bit while we had lunch. After lunch, we went snorkeling. We were able to see a few things but they kept us all together and it was crowded and the water got stirred up so it made it difficult to see anything. After snorkeling, we were able to see dolphins, a sea turtle and another creature named Doug. It would be terrific if they offered a sunset cruise. I would suggest this to friends to consider.

Boat trip was too long.

The cruise was nice. There was not enough shaded areas for all passengers to be under cover. Food was ok but not great. Snorkelling was great and staff were pleasant. Overall I think that it was just booked way over capacity to be comfortable and they didn't have enough amenities to cater to the high traffic.

There was a complete mess up with the bus and collection point. I waited for an hour at the appointed place but no joy! This matter has been settled now with you.
