1-hour Hot Air Balloon Flight Over the Fairy Chimneys in Cappadocia

We had 1hr hot air balloon tour with Rainbow Balloons and this operator was amazing!! The pilot made the perfect timing to be at the point of the sky to see the sunrise whilst other teams barely made it!!! Thank you the team!!

We loved our hot air balloon experience! We booked this a night before, during our arrival in Cappadocia and it did not disappoint, not to mention at that time, it saved us money vs what the hotel offered. Be aware that your pickup time will vary from where you are in town and the time of sunrise, so it's best to call their office we called as late as 1130pm and ask what time you will be picked up. They were on time.

From there it was merely waiting to be driven to the location about 10-15mins then you're good! You will be given a snack pack as breakfast to munch on while waiting for the balloon to inflate like all others around you. Me? Was too amazed of the view to eat!

Regarding the flight, it was smooth! Our pilot spoke English and made sure we were comfortable. Do know that the balloon is divided by sections. Imagine a rectangle divided into 6, and the 2 middle boxes are joined together for the pilot, while the 4 surrounding boxes can accommodate 3-4pax from the tour. This means some are going to be situated in the corner while others will be by the pilot. Nevertheless, the pilot will rotate the balloon every now and then to give each position a great view. Personally we got a box with 4 of us, and it was a bit crowded and awkward taking photos without having to cross somebody's space so it's best if you could get to know your companions well when u do fly.

After the flight, we had a very smooth landing, there wasn't a need to duck and brace as per instruction. Then it was a champagne shower and we enjoyed a glass alongside our certificates before being driven back to our hotel. Overall, a great experience. If you find yourself in Cappadocia, it's the cave hotels and the balloon experience. You can't possibly miss the balloons.

This was an unforgettable experience! Excitement mounted as we were brought to the launching sight to see many balloons already either in flight or in the various stages of inflation. Our lift-off was truly awe-inspiring as we gently floated up on the backdrop of the rising sun. The ride itself was gentle and truly exhilarating as we drifted silently over the sleepy valley below. We were lucky to also float by and wave to a couple getting married on a hillside at sunrise. Everything was exactly as promised and more. No regrets what-so-ever. Would go again in a heartbeat.

It was excellent! everything went like it was planned to from the pick up until the landing celebration. Everybody was helpful and kind. The pilot was great and the flight was just mesmerizing !!
