What You Can Expect

St Barts Independent Day Trip from St Martin with ATV Rental

Explore St Barts on an ATV!

Make your way to Oyster Bay or Marigot, depending on the day of your tour, check in at the ferry terminal with your passport in hand.
Board the 'Voyager 3', a climate-controlled catamaran-style ferry with a bar on board. The smooth ride across the sea takes approximately a half-hour from Oyster Bay or an hour from Marigot.
When you reach Gustavia, the capital of St Barts, board a minivan to transfer to the ATV center. Once you listen to a short safety briefing and orientation to the vehicle, you're on your own. Grab a scavenger hunt map that makes hitting the island's landmarks a game or simply see where the day takes you.
After 2.5 hours, meet up in Gustavia for lunch at a local restaurant. Relax in the terrace dining room and dig in to a meal of French-influenced cuisine.
With a full belly, wander the streets of Gustavia or jump back on your ATV for 2.5 more hours of free time. Use the provided walking map of the town or head out into the unspoiled island landscape on your ATV again. Alternatively, make your way to Shell Beach to swim or snorkel (snorkeling gear provided).
At the conclusion of your 9-hour day on St Barthelemy, take the ferry back to St Maarten.

What an awesome way to explore St. Bart's. Loved the ATV. The instructions we were given we spot on and to be able to travel at our leisure was fantastic. Would definitely do this again.

Took this trip at the end of July. Had a blast. Each 4 wheeler had a lockable storage carrier on the back and this was very helpful. Wish we had known about the storage before we came. However, you can not ride the 4 wheelers on the beaches. We just parked and walked to the beach like everyone else. The provided lunch was very good also. Would recommend this to everyone!

This was very fun trip. It was a little crowed in town with the atv's but out of town it was a really pretty, fun exciting trip. We had 6 atv's and really took up some space on the roads but all went well. The only problem was as you can see in the ad pictures of them riding on beach, our operator said it was not allowed. Granted we did not go to more private beaches to try it out but stuck to the roads which turned out to be plenty of fun

Our first impression of this trip was that it was rather expensive. After having done the excursion I feel that it was worth every cent. Actually, with the ferry ride over and back, the rental of the ATV's and our lunch I now think that it was a very good deal. We vacation in the Caribbean several times a year and try to do every excursion available on a modest budget where we are at. The wife and I agree that this one is tied with the Powerboat Adventures seen on TV. Of course this one is more independent and what you make it on the island. We spent most of the day riding on the roads and viewing the beautiful scenery but we did decide to get into the water at Flamond's beach. I only had dollars and did not find one store which would not accept them. Frank was there waiting with our ATV's when we arrived and met us at the port to pick them up. The lunch provided from Provinca restaurant was perfect, tasted great and right on the harbor at Gustavia. I was concerned that my wife would have difficulties with the ATV's. She has back issues and even can find riding passenger in the car difficult at times but she had no pain with these. Unlike the picture on the Viator web site our ATV's almost had bucket seats and a large lockable compartment check the pics to carry our towels and backpacks. More info, pics and videos on our FB page, last name Solt. Loved this trip. DO IT!

Really nice tour with a sympatic guide ! I did not put five stars because I would have liked to spend a little more time on each stop to swim for instance !!

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better October 2016

This is a good thing to do. If you are NOT very experienced it will be tough to finish in the allotted time if you stop for a beer, a bite or to swim. We got some what lost following our scavenger hunt map, but not too bad. The road was closed half way through, so we had to turn back and we couldn't finish the hunt or we would have missed the local lunch that was included. The ferry ride was good and as expected. The island is great, along with the food and beaches. Our ONLY disappointment was that neither the ATV rental place or our private trip guide from St. Marten did not follow up with the scavenger hunt to see what we found with the clues like that was advertised. They didn't even know about it.
