A good overview of the island

, Jun 2019
Our tour guide, Dexter, was very friendly and knowledgeable of the island and its history. The tour consisted only of my mom and I and we had a very nice time. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quick overview of the island mostly experienced from the comfort of the car with several stops for taking pictures, buying souvenirs, and swimming.

Great trip - great value

Really great trip. Shared with just 2 other people which made it fun. Michael is an absolute fountain of knowledge from revolutions to spices he knows it all. Adjusted the itinerary so we did the waterfall swim last. Brilliant driver round the narrow and winding roads. A credit to his Island. Great value for money.

Highly recommended trip! Grenada...

Highly recommended trip! Grenada is such a beautiful place. The beaches we saw were amazing, and we really enjoyed visiting the waterfalls and the national park. The chocolate factory tour is very short 10 minutes and the nutmeg factory tour isn't much longer, though it was just nice to travel around the country and meeting the people. Our tour ran with just the two of us which was great. Many tour operators cancel tours if there aren't many booked on but these didn't which we really appreciated - there's nothing worse when one is cancelled, usually with very little notice. Our guide, Dexter, was excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of him. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us entertained for the whole trip. Definitely made the trip for us!

Great tour with a great guide

Michael was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We were the only ones in the tour, which was very nice, but even if it was a full group I think it would have been just as good. He told us a lot about different spices and herbs on the island, about history and the revolution, about farming practices, and about the different areas and their cultures. There was a lot more driving than I expected though, and most of our stops were very brief and curated with little time to explore on our own. If you're interested in a convenient way of seeing a variety of spots on the island while learning a lot about the islands history, I'd highly recommend.

Great way to see the interior of Grenada

We had Michael as our guide who was excellent, picked us up from our hotel and and talked about the history of the country with such passion. The chocolate factory and the nutmeg factory tour were very brief (about 5-10 minutes each) so if you are expecting more detail etc Maybe a specific tour for these factories is required. Would recommend.

Ash. our tour guide was excellent. She was relaxed and knowledgable. The tour was interesting and informative especially the chocolate factory which to our standards was pretty basic but fascinating. Flora and fauna pointed out, nice seeing fruit trees/plants indigenous to the island.

Lackluster, Frustrating Experience
Kait_G

We were picked up by a cab, which was apparently our private tour guide. Some folks might prefer that but as a single mom traveling alone with a young child, I did not. It said there was a group minimum for the trip, so I assumed there was a group. I spent the first hour trying to verify if we were safe. Our cab driver did ultimately end up being great. But the tour was not. We drove for roughly an hour to get to Annandale waterfall (not the advertised Concord). Once there, we spent a few minutes exploring the falls but no one was there to tell us if we should/shouldn’t swim or guide the experience. We then drove another hour or so to the chocolate factory. The employee there gave about a 3 minute explanation of the chocolate making process and that was the entirety of the “tour.” We then drove almost two hours back to the resort. It was great to see the countryside, but this experience did not meet my expectations at all. I would give this one star if it weren’t for our cabbie.

Absolutely amazing!! It ended up...

Absolutely amazing!! It ended up being a private tour! Dexter was fantastic and very knowledgeable!! He went above and beyond to make sure we were able to taste and see verythinf we wanted! He found us sugar cane to taste, a fresh coconut to drink, as well as fresh bananas along the way. He was talking about a plant that helps with sleep and even found someone to give me some of the leaves to try out st home. At the spice factory he helped us find the best deal and was able to get us an extra free gift! He didnt the same at the chocolate factory! I would have only changed a few things- first they sent an email saying we would be picked up at 8:15 however we werent picked up until almost 9. I believe that was a mistake on Viator. And then we went to the waterfall first and I would have preferred to do that last so that I could swim around. I still could have swam but then would have been wet all day. But all in all it wasnt a big deal as it was a rainy day. I would definitely recommend this! And hope you get Dexter- he was fantastic!!

Dexter is the best, and Grenada is also the best.

Our tour guide, Dexter, was incredible. He was deeply knowledgable and passionate about Grenada, its history, architecture, culture, and wildlife- especially the flora. This was definitely not his first tour; guy was an absolute Ace. He told us details about the island like he was reading from a textbook, but still answered all of our lame tourist questions with a smile. And he shared with us some unbelievable personal experiences growing up in the 80s. If you don't know about Grenadian politics in the 80s (as we didn't) his first hand accounts will stick with you for days. More than just educational: we played in a water fall, tasted fresh chocolate, and even got to see (and feed!) wild monkeys. It was a blast!

This was a great day!! The waterfall is beautiful and the drive along the way is also beautiful. Our guide, Dexter, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island and well acquainted with the native flora. Only suggestion I would make is take a snack and water with you. There’s really no place for lunch... unless you call the chocolate tasting “lunch”!

This was a good experience and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family members. We choose this guide on our port day during our cruise cruise and Wayne was an excellent guide. HE was very courtesy and professional when we arrived at the port. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites and the history of the country.

Very friendly Guide. He gave us much and good Informationen . It was a perfect day with Dexter. Super freundlicher Guide. Wir erhielten tolle Informationen, die Ziele waren super. Da keiner außer uns gebucht hatte waren wir nur zu zweit mit Dexter unterwegs. Ich kann nur jedem diesen tollen Ausflug empfehlen.
