What You Can Expect

Guided Tour of Grenada

Travel with friendly tour guides

When booking, choose morning or afternoon tour time (8:30am or 2pm). Please note: A minimum of four people per booking is required. At your chosen departure time, be ready and waiting at your Grand Anse hotel or the cruise port, where you'll climb into an air-conditioned coach and take off for a comprehensive island tour.

Begin with a half-hour stop at Fort Frederick, which features sweeping views over the island. Stroll around the fort with your guide, listening to commentary about how it played an important part in 17th-century European battles as well as the American-led 1983 intervention.

Back in the coach, drive about 15 minutes through St. Paul's to DeLaGranade Industries, where you'll sample jellies, jams, and the well-known nutmeg liqueur and syrup. If you're brave, try the algae-based energy drink, rumored to boost virility. In the garden, see how the nutmeg trees grow and learn about the harvesting process of one of the island's major exports.

Continue to St. George's to see the Bianca C monument and the volcanic harbor. Stroll through the bustling market, visit some local art galleries, or pop into a bar for a cool refreshment (own expense). Your last stop is the Clarke's Court Rum Distillery, where you can sample all 19 of their locally made rums.
