Incredible sightseeing tour! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Guadalajara and the town of Tlaquepaque made it even better. My guide, Roni, was amazing and very knowledgeable. I got to learn more about the history and beautiful buildings in Guadalajara and roamed the streets and stores in Tlaquepaque. This is a great tour if you are looking for a good introduction of the city and have a day to explore it. Highly recommend it!
We had a lovely tour of this beautiful city, Guadalajara and Tlequepaque. Ronni was our driver and my husband and I were very pleased with his driving, his explanations, and his knowledge. My husband and I enjoyed the day and Ronni let us stop when we wanted to go inside a particular building. We walked through the plaza center of Guadalajara and also the artisan streets of Tlequepaque. Our tour was greta value fro money and a wonderful day.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We were expecting to be with others, but because we were the only english speaking people taking the tour at that time we ended up with a private tour, just us and Miguel. He did a great job giving us an overview of the historic centre and then a visit to Tlaquepaque where he gave us tips on some good restaurants to test out during our stay.
Roni was our tour guide an he was great, very knowledgeable. Very professional, accurate on the subject matter. Would love to have him next time we go.
Ophelia, my tour guide, was very knowledgable, professional and kind. She picked me up from a bed a breakfast that I stayed at with no additional cost. She had good understanding of the cities, their history and current affairs. She showed me around some of the local shops and helped me buy awesome things from street vendors. Her english was perfect too. No complains really.
Eduardo was.. great .......very knowledgeable helpful...we enjoyed every minute of the tour and would highly recommend him, and the tour............thank you.........jane and scott
Our Tour Guide Ricardo was very good and knowledgeable. I wish we had more time.
Ricardo was knowledgable and willing to go along with the plans we had made in our trip to Guad. I would recommend him to anyone traveling there.
Ricardo was excellent. Great service, very knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Great tour.
Daniel was welcoming and knew about the history of the city! I would definitely do it again!
The tour was good value for money. Ricardo's English was very acceptable and his personal knowledge of Tlaquepaque, with visits to local artisans, made the tour most enjoyable. Pick up and drop off at our hotel in an immaculate sedan was a nice touch. A very nice introduction to Guadalajara .
I really enjoyed this tour - it covered a lot and involved virtually no travelling which is always good
We thoroughly enjoyed this introduction to Guadalajara. Ricardo spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. Unfortunately - no fault of the tour company or guide - our tour was on a Monday and many of the public buildings were closed.
We were picked up late from the hotel and ended up being the only ones on the tour (my daughter and I) with our guide and three other people (helpers/trainees?) for just the two of us which was awkward. Other than that, the guide and tour was fantastic
The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Overall, it was a great way to see the city and hear all the history.
- The tour was only 3hrs vs the 5hrs indicated on the website.
- Booking the tour online was very easy but then I had to track down the Mexican tour operator to confirm the complimentary pick up and drop off at the hotel. This should be part of the online booking process.
- My tour was booked for a Monday and many places are closed on Mondays in Guadalajara, The tour should not be offered or the customer should be informed at time of booking. Unfortunately, There were many places we could not visit.
The tour guide was unclear of where he was supposed to take us. He was formed the tour was for Tlaquepaque/Tonala not Guadalajara. He was nice enough to offer a different tour at an additional cost which was fine as the place was further. He was not very knowledgeable about the places were seeing. He gave us false information about certain places and didn't take us to highlight points in Tlaquepaque.
Numerous issues with the pickup at the hotel. I called 3 times to the main number of the tour operator. The first time said that the driver would arrive between 9:00-9:20 this was around 8:30. When I called around 9:40, the operator said that the drive was two minutes away and told me his name. The third time I called at 10:05, the operator said that the driver whose name was different now was arriving, which he was. The driver said that he told the tour company that the pickup would be at 10:00 because nothing is open at 9:00.
The guide was nice, but it was not a very informative tour. We did learn a few things, but it was more of a driver than a tour. Also, the tour confirmation said mini-van, but it was a small car, so the four of us plus the driver were very cramped in the auto.
I took this trip and its not worth it. It was just my wife and I and a guide that was learning and in his own car. He looked at his phone for info and did not know much. Please do not book anything through Viator. Once you are in Guadalajara, your hotels will have way cheaper packages. Listen to me!
that day waited at hotel for 1hr, after contact them again someone finally show up. End up as a private which is really good. Ricardo is very knowledgeable great english also very helpful for his service is 5star
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this tour. Even though our guide was very polite, he was not very informative - only provided us with basics, was quiet and we had to ask him questions about the area to pull information out of him. Also we did not go to the Grand Market which was very disappointing. Also, in general the city was not what I had expected. We asked to go to a really authentic restaurant with good Mexican food and margaritas - he brought us to a La Gourda which was a cheap chain and the food was bad, no margaritas and was on an unattractive street. He should have insisted on lunch in Tlaquepaque. Tlaquepaque was really nice but we did not spend very much time there only about 45 min. It was a disappointing day as a whole.
