What You Can Expect

Pearl River Night Dinner Cruise in Guangzhou

Pearl river night cruise

Begin with evening pickup from your Guangzhou hotel, and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the departure pier on the Pearl River.

China’s third-longest river, the Pearl is named after a huge boulder that lies on its bed. Over the centuries, the stone has worn smooth by the water, lending the river its name of Pearl.

Admire the prettily lit, multi-deck cruise boat as you board, and take a seat in the inside dining deck. Then, enjoy the views of Guangzhou’s skyline as you sail onto the river.

Gaze through the panoramic windows as you glide by spectacular landmarks including the Canton Tower, Haixinsha Island and Xinghai Concert Hall — all unmissable from the water. Have your camera ready as you pass bridges like the Guangzhou, Leide and Haiyin, all ablaze with colored lights, and absorb the romantic sight of the moon reflected on the waters.

As you cruise, savor a delicious buffet dinner accompanied by drinks (own expense). Then, afterward, perhaps head to the outdoor upper deck to enjoy the night air and views in the open.

Finally, dock back at the starting pier, and enjoy a drop-off at your hotel, where your tour ends.

What a great cruise. We were picked up on time, short trip to the boat. The hostesses took care off all the hassles if there any. Spoke english. After the buffet meal which was alright we did not have drinks, the boat when up and down the river to see the spectacular lights of Guangzhou. Have to admit the Canton Tower was all we wanted to see, but all the skyscrapers were little up including the bridges. This cruise would have to go on any tourist to Guangzhou must see. Also the Canton Tower and the hop on/hop off buses that go on 3 different routes.

Best night view in Guangzhou

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better July 2017

The boat itself was fine, and the trip to see the buildings and bridges lit up at night was very good.
Do not go on this trip if you want a quiet meal with your partner, or a romantic dinner!! It certainly wasn't that!!
When they said the food was ready, it was like watching a stampede of starving people clearing all the food like a plague of locusts!!!
We could not believe it, people pushing and shoving and being generally ill mannered. Not good, there appeared to be nobody in charge to control matters.
The organisers need to also review the time and route taken by the boat, it was all over far too quickly.

The Cruiser was very full and the meal rushed with not much remaining if you didn't rush the line.
The views and lights were well worth the trip from the top deck. There was no or little wine and we caused some problem asking for it.
The advert said 6pm to 10 .30pm. We were back in our hotel at 8.30pm.
