Your day starts early with pickup from your Guangzhou hotel and transfer to the airport for your direct flight to Xi'an. Your private guide meets you at the airport when your flight lands in Xi'an, and takes you to your climate-controlled private vehicle to begin your sightseeing tour.
First, visit the world-famous terracotta warriors, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discovered in 1974 by local farmers, archaeologists excavated the hidden treasure that was built for Qin Shi Huang – China’s first emperor (259 to 210 BC). The army of 8,000 life-size warriors, chariots and horses were entombed in Emperor Qin's mausoleum for his protection in the afterlife.
Spend time seeing the impressive statues and adjacent museum with your guide, then stop for a delicious Chinese lunch nearby. Choose your meal from a menu of authentic Chinese dishes with help from your guide as needed.
When finished with lunch, drive to the Xi'an City Wall and have free time to view the ancient wall's gates and ramparts, either on foot or by bicycle (rental at own expense). The fortified wall extends for approximately 8.5 miles (13.7 km), stands 40 feet (12 meters) tall and is surrounded by a deep moat.
Next up, take a guided walking tour of the Muslim quarter, and head to Beiyuanmen Muslim Market where you learn about Xi’an's role on the Silk Road trade route. You can sample tasty snacks and browse souvenir stalls, then see the renowned Xi'an Bell Tower, constructed during the Ming Dynasty.
If you book the one-way option, your tour concludes here. If you book the round-trip option, you’ll be driven to the airport for your flight back to Guangzhou. Upon landing, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Guangzhou.
