Experience a sightseeing dinner cruise along Halifax Harbor and the city’s beautiful waterfront, departing from Halifax Ferry Terminal at the Cable Wharf. The Halifax Waterfront is not only a picturesque destination, it’s Nova Scotia’s most visited location. This excursion covers the northwest arm of Halifax Harbor.
Climb aboard the Harbour Queen I, an elegant Mississippi-style sternwheeler, for the 2-hour journey. Head to a private table for the buffet dinner, which features fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Start with a variety of soups and salads or Atlantic mussels steamed in white wine, then enjoy the main course, perhaps a chicken breast wrapped in bacon and glazed with barbeque sauce or a poached Atlantic salmon filet served with dill hollandaise sauce. Sides include oven-roasted potatoes, rice pilaf and a fresh vegetable of the day. For dessert, try some deep-dish baked apple crisp topped with whipped cream. Coffee and tea are included. Additional drinks can be purchased.
After eating, grab a beverage from the fully equipped onboard bar and head to the open-air upper deck for the best view of the sites.
Throughout the cruise, enjoy light commentary and stunning views of Halifax’s city skyline, Point Pleasant Park, Sir Sandford Fleming Park (aka Dingle Park, which means wooded valley), plus the elegant waterfront homes and much more.
