Halong bay is truly a wonder of the world, the caves were an amazing experience . VIctor the host shared many interesting takes which was wonderful.I would definitely like to stay over in the area on my next visit.
It is a well organised and provide a concise view of Halong Bay. Recommended to people with limited time to explore the place.
Tour was overall good! Tour guide is attentive and funny, most importantly he is very knowledgeable and explain everything to us in detail.
Great tour with chances to travel with different countries of people
The tour was great and the tour guide very imformative and engaging
Our guides were great and could speak reasonable English. We had plenty of time to see everything even though traffic delayed our journey by 1.5 hours on the way there.
I really enjoyed the trip and would recommend.
We had a fun day. Halong Bay is a must see destination add the cave tour by kayak or boat. My tour was exactly as advertised. Didn't care much for the bathroom breaks, as it stops at these souvenir shops use the restroom and go back outside if you don't want to be pressured. If you don't stay in a hotel in the Old Quarter, the taxi ride to the Water Puppet Theatre is inexpensive, about US5.
My tour guide was why very nice guy, I was running a bit late and he picked up other guests then came back for me, the journey time is a little on the long side but you are in a nice air-con minibus, plenty of food on offer on the junk boat, i went on a Kayak which i enjoyed, Had a walk through the caves ect.
This tour was amazing. I highly recommend this tour to everyone it was great. The only negative was the 3 1/2 bus ride from Hanoi. The seats were to close the only saving grace where the well time stops and breaks. That being said the tour was great.
Sky Tan Singapore
Single person attend this nice short tip. Can see every one smiling face in the group as well and able to joke around like we know each other for long time. Well we also have very nice tour gride and driver with full knowledge. will recommend this to those who are interested in 1 day halong bay short trip.
keep it up on the great job. :
The full day Halong Bay Islands and Cave Tour from Hanoi was worth all the US54.00 we paid per person. The tour guide picked us up on time from Hanoi Elegance Emerald Hanoi Hotel. The 4 hours ride to the pier was comfortable. Seafoods and pork were served for lunch onboard the traditional Vietnamese boat which took us to Halong Bay Islands. We enjoyed the beautiful sceneries and the bamboo boat ride around the Islands which was included in the tour. The Thiem Dung Cave tour is not to be missed! The long climbed to reach the cave entrance is worth the effort. It was wonderful to look at various stalactites and stalagmites formations inside the cave with colorful lights. The locals also call it the heavenly cave. We will definitely refer our friends going to Hanoi to take this tour.
We enjoyed this tour. Its worth all the US54.00 we paid per person. Our english tour guide picked us up on time from the hotel. It took 4 hours to reach the pier where we boarded the Vietnamese boat which took us around the beautiful Halong Bay Islands. Seafoods and pork lunch was delicious. We had fun riding the bamboo boat around the islands. We were amazed at the various formations of the stalactities and stalagmites as well as the colorful lights inside the Cung Thiem Dung Cave. This tour should not be missed when i Hanoi. We will definitely refer this tour to friends.
We had a great time with this trip. My wife really wanted to see Halong Bay and this trip exceeded her expectations. If you have limited time, this trip is the best way to see a new wonder of the world. The lunch on the boat is fantastic, the cruise really allows you to see a lot and the cave was an unexpected treasure. Our host was an excellent guide at keeping us organized and pointing out all the little things that make Halong Bay so special.
My only comment is that three hour car ride to/from Halong Bay could have been more comfortable. Our bus was packed and the seats are cramped. I'm 6'0 and found the bus really uncomfortable and a tight squeeze.
Tourists everywhere and difficult to enjoy the views or get pictures of the beautiful scenery.
Tour was okay but expect a 30 minute stop at a gift shop each way.
On our trip someone was sick and the driver refused to stop so he vomitted in the bus stairwell adding a little extra drama to the trip.
the trip was nice. got to see lots of great views and did great activities.the trip guide nam did a great job also. Everything was good except for the traffic tam which delayed the trip around 2 hours....
A decent and relaxing tour to Ha Long Bay. We were picked up by the bus from our hotel around 8:40 there was some traffic congestion in the old quarter. The mini bus was air conditioned and was fairly comfortable. However, leg room could have been a problem for very tall individuals. Our tour guide Tung was patient, funny and spoke good english although heavily accented. He diligently noted down details such as food preference, Kayak vs row boat, any allergies etc. and remained very approachable for the entire duration of the trip. The bus ride took 4 hours each way including 30 minute stop either way. The road to Halong bay is scenic and gives a very good view of the Vietnamese countryside, Roads are broad and nice for most part. Our boat was nice and the food was delicious as well we are vegetarians and they had prepared a nice ensemble of veggie dishes for us. Contrary to the popular belief, I think one day tour gave us ample time to explore the best parts of HaLong Bay. All in all a memorable and nice trip.
Awsome! The Halong Bay is worderful, tiring but worth it ever.
I did the man boat through the caves really something to be done.
The not so good part... the food in the boat was ok, but the service was a little confusing and we didnt know what was being served.
The tour is really good and the people really helpful and happy to answer any question.
The driving time is long, but everyone was aware of it so it was pretty much fine.
Both kayak and the caves were good!
Halong Bay is really beautiful and well worth visiting. However, it took four hours to get there from Hanoi and the same to return. Unfortunately, we spent less than three and a half hours at Halong Bay itself.
Really fun day, but long bus journey to/from Hanoi. Highly recommend the kayaking option. Food and environment on the boat was of a very good standard. Would definitely recommend.
Good value. Great sights. Would do again. Hotel pickup and dropoff a major plus.
A very good and enjoyable excursion rather spoiled by the long journey in an uncomfortable coach - very little space for European legs..............
Tour was nicely arranged and took good care of all of us. However, on landing at floating village my tour guide told me that Kayaking/Boat Ride is not included in my package and I will need to pay extra for it while my printed voucher clearly said 'kayaking' is included in the package.
Other than this miscommunication everything was excellent, I enjoyed my tour.
No regrets. It's a long day the journey is between 3.5 - 4 hours each way so bring something to keep yourself entertained with on the bus...... but Halong Bay is worth it.
Upsides: The cave tour and kayaking are real highlights and are good ways to help you appreciate the beauty of the area. Doing it in a day is ideal for anyone on a short break who still wants to save time for Hanoi.
Downsides: there's the usual stop at a factory outlet on the way there and coming back for 30 minutes. There's no onboard WiFi on the bus or charging ports for those that want to charge phones/devices and depending on the bus you get the windows aren't designed for sightseeing.
Overall - it's worth it but be prepared for a lot of travel and a lot of tourists.......
