The pick up was on time and efficient. The Shuttle was clean and the ride was smooth. that's pretty much where it ended. The 5 course meal was deplorable. We skipped every course after the second the food was either too cold or uncooked. We got lucky with the weather and spent most of our time on the deck. the Kayaking was enjoyable. For how beautiful the scenery around us was, the rest of the experience was below average.

The pick up was right on time and the experience was unforgettable. Ha Long Bay seemed eerily quiet with the corona virus affecting the world. It felt like we had it all to ourselves. The day started a bit cloudy and then the sun broke out and we had the best sunny day. We kayaked which was a lot of fun and got to see monkeys up close. The cave was unbelievable and again quite empty which was nice. The food was just okay - i didnt have my beef because it didnt seem to be cooked all the way through. Some loved it - it just wasnt for me.

Super friendly and amiable guide. Disappointed that the cruise ended before seeing a sunset when seeing the sunset was mentioned in the description. All drinks should have been included w/o extra charge except for alcohol (i.e., water, coffee, tea, etc.). They should have provided towels after off-boat activities as many people were wet. There was a huge bundle of fresh towels in the corner but none offered to guests. Food was also mediocre. Not sure why this is marketed as a "luxury" cruise - nothing luxurious about it. It seemed pretty ordinary to me, unless the non-luxury ones are even worse.

Comfortable van ride to/from Hanoi/Ha Long Bay. Excellent lunch on board. Guide was friendly but probably tried making a dozen too many jokes during the afternoon when most of us would have preferred quiet.

We highly recommend this trip based on our recent experience. Our tour guide, Tony, was pleasant and informative. He worked hard to please the diverse group of guests. The day whizzed along and kept to schedule. We appreciated both the 6 course lunch and the afternoon tea. Halong Bay is absolutely gorgeous, one of the most beautiful places that we have ever visited.
