Well organized day trip with very well prepared guides. The riding in the boat it's long but relaxing and enjoyable the bike tour is amazing, the rice fields and the view are simply unforgettable.
Quick pick up, small group tour, good lunch, relax boat trip! You will see local woman row boat by her leg. She could not speak English but she is really nice! She invited to buy some embroidery pictures which made by hand. It s cheaper than the things sold at the shop on the way. Tour guide is nice and very caring.
Such a great tour!
Small group tour, good buffet lunch. A great trip with tour guide Tony from Vietnam Opentour. He is funny and informative guide. Unfortunately you will not see rice field along the river because the local plant rice on Spring then rice is yellow on Summer only. Anyway, it s worth to visit Tam coc is look small Halong Bay without rice. Highly recommend
The weather was good on that day and I really like this Day Trip. The river boat trip was nice with beautiful scenery and you get to pass thru the caves. Guides were good with English speaking and we were in a small group. The biking ride was nice too where you ride pass with nice view of mountains and rice fields.
This trip was the best part of our trip to Hanoi. Beautiful and lot's of fun from start to finish. The boat trip was breath taking our rower was a lot of fun. A definite must when visiting this area.
I really liked this tour. The guide was great. the bus was ok. The sights were great. the river caves were very interesting. I recommend this tour to all visiting Hanoi.
A really interesting tour full of activity from the amazing boat ride with foot rowing drivers through amazing countryside to the bike ride along the rice fields. Our guide Ngok was very informative and would highly recommend it.
The tour was well planned. The duration was good. But it was a 2 hours ride to the location. The guide has good knowledge about everything even tho he is young. The only thing can be improved is the lunch buffet. Amount is plenty but not the taste.
The Boat Trip and Bike Trip is awesome . The Food was not up to the mark but the trip is worth it.
Too Many tour people are coming to the same restraunt and suggestion will be to move to another food for lunch or just have a different timing.
Always carry your raincoat or umberlla to that place , even if the Hanoi is sunny .
The tour would be better if taken during spring - autumn rather then winter time. Although there is not cold winter, fields are not green and water is very muddy. Simply: it does not look like on the picture! However, the tour is scheduled and planned correctly and our guide was nice.
Enjoyed the trip, palace visit in Hoa Lu, Tam Coc small boat trip along water river, bike ride and food!
One weak point was the long ride back due to heavy traffic toward Hanoi.
We had a great day, probably the best in term of natural beauty / scenery.
The guide came to pick us up at the hotel as explained and traveled up to Hoa Lu with the rest of the group. However, even if the guide was nice and friendly, he was really mean to the bus driver, treating him as stupid he must have said him 5x during the trip and not giving us much details about the sites. By chance we had read about it before going.
We visited very quickly Hoa Lu pretty sure we did only half of it and then had lunch buffet with a good variety. The next step was what we were waiting for, the boat trip to see the limestone. It is absolutely stunning, amazing and unique.
Finally, we did a 15min bike ride in total....not what it was supposed to be and it wasn't through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops as mentioned.
However, it was worth going just to see that beautiful place.
The tour was really well organized. After 2 hours bus tour we arrived at the temples. And then continued to the lunch place and the board trip. The lunch was so so. One reason for only 4 stars. The board trip was great. The bike trip was also great but would be better to stop one or the other time.
Picked up by our guide late. His English was so so. What did I like? Hoa Lu was great and Tam Coc was very interesting indeed. Well worth the trip. But we often had no idea where we were or the names of places we were at. Had to go and find signs.
The drive there and back is long but the scenery was good, however it would have been a lot more productive if we had been given notes about where we were going and what we would see and if the guide would have given some commentary along the way. The biking was very ordinary-the bikes were terrible and the time was only about 20 minutes. The worst part of the trip was the lunch-poor standard and not a good advertisement for Vietnamese cuisine. Unrepresentative swill basically. I can recommend this for the scenery and Tam Coc only. It needs some real work.
